Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the financial performance on banking’s stock return. The study was conducted on 22 banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period of 2007 to 2009. The results showed that the Return on Assets (ROA) has a positive impact on stock returns. Likewise, Economic Value Added (EVA) has a positive effect on stock returns. Nevertheless, book value (BV) has no effect on stock returns Keywords: Stock Return, Economic Value Added, Return on Assets, Book Value.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of two strategic orientations, market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation, on financial performance in new product development. Drawing upon a sample of 137 micro, small, and medium-sized firms, multiple regression was used for testing four hypotheses. The results show thata market orientation and risk taking were positively related to financial performance in new product development, while innovativeness and risk taking show no such relationship.Keywords: market orientation, entrepreneurial orientation, and new product

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between wages and house rents in the cities level. Merely, the existence of the housing market in the suburb is an critical component to explain relations between two market in two spaces. By applying practical and theoretical considerations, the house rents in suburb are included in this general equilibrium model. We utilize mathematical modeling to find some optimal equations in two markets to know the new relationship between wages and rents in the city level.  An estimation using Non-Linear Seemingly Unrelated Regression to proof the relationship between wages and rents empirically.  The work found that house rents in urban and suburban affecting wages in an urban area, it brings important policy implications in two markets. There are two considerations for the policy maker. They should consider others markets and spatial aspect when formulating their policies, especially in labor and housing markets Keywords: wages, house rents, urban labor economics.  ABSTRAK Studi ini menguji hubungan antara upah dan sewa rumah di tingkat kota. Hanya saja, keberadaan pasar perumahan di pinggiran kota merupakan komponen penting untuk menjelaskan hubungan antara dua pasar dalam dua ruang. Dengan menerapkan pertimbangan praktis dan teoretis, sewa rumah di  pinggiran kota dimasukkan dalam model keseimbangan umum ini. Kami menggunakan pemodelan matematika untuk menemukan beberapa persamaan optimal di  dua pasar untuk mengetahui hubungan baru antara upah dan sewa di tingkat kota. Taksiran menggunakan Non-Linear Seemingly Unrelated Regression untuk membuktikan hubungan antara upah dan sewa secara empiris. Pekerjaan menemukan bahwa sewa rumah di perkotaan dan pinggiran kota mempengaruhi upah di daerah perkotaan, itu membawa implikasi kebijakan penting di dua pasar. Ada dua pertimbangan bagi pembuat kebijakan. Mereka harus mempertimbangkan pasar lain dan aspek spasial ketika merumuskan kebijakan mereka, terutama di pasar tenaga kerja dan perumahan. Kata kunci: upah, sewarumah, ekonomi tenaga kerja perkotaan JEL: C15, C33, C61, D50, J10, J20, R10

h: 0px; "> This study aimed to examine the effect compensation and leadership style on employee’s performanceof Utama Husada Hospital Ambulu Jember. Respondents used in this study are employees of UtamaHusada Hospital Ambulu Jember as many as 45 employees. Respondents selected by random method.Collecting data using instruments such as questionnaires and tested the validity and reliability test.Analysis of data using multiple regression. The results showed that compensation and leadership styleinfluence on employee’s performance. Other results of the study indicate that leadership style has adominant influence on employee’s performance when compared with the compensation. This resultimplies that the compensation and leadership style has a significant influence on employee’sperformance of Utama Husada Hospital.Keywords : Compensation, Leadership Style, Employee’s Performance

Abstract

The purposes of this study is to test the effect of marketing mix variables (product, price, distribution, and promotion) to Big Cola purchase decision as the dependent variable. Using survey as a data collection method, a questionnaire was distributed to 125 respondents using purposive random sampling method. Data analysis tools are factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. From factor analysis, there is found five factors that influence Big Cola purchasing decisions, while from multiple linear regression analysis obtained result that from four marketing mix variables only distribution variable influence Big Cola purchasing decision. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is aimed to test the effect on  site design, product, price preception, and site image towards the consumers buying intention to shop on Bukalapak marketplace with occupation, gender, and origin as a moderation effect at Yogyakarta Special Region. The method used in this research is by using the quantitative apporach by survey methods. There are 155 respondents here and they are spread amoung five different areas in Yogyakarta Special Region. The results show that Site Image takes effects on the consumers buying intentions. And by using pait t test on the moderation test shows that gender has the effect. Keywords:  site design, product, price preception, gender, and origin. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh desain situs, produk, persepsi harga, dan citra situs pada minat belanja di situs Bukalapak dengan pekerjaan, jenis kelamin, dan asal daerah sebagai pemoderasi di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Adapun jumlah sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 155 orang yang tersebar di 5 daerah kabupaten kota di Daerah Instimewa Yogyakarta dengan teknik purposive sampling.          Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa citra situs yang mempengaruhi secara signifikan minat belanja di situs bukalapak. Terdapat perbedaan respon minat beli pada hasil uji beda pair t test  untuk kategori pembedaan berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Kata Kunci: desain situs, produk, perkiraan harga, jenis kelamin, dan asal

Abstract

Financial risk model evaluation or backtesting is a key part of the internal model’s approach to market risk management as laid out by the Basle Committee on Banking Supervision. Using daily exchange rate from January 2006-February 2008, will be compared measuring volatility between EWMA (Exponential Weighted Moving Average) and GARCH (Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heterocedasticity). The results show that GARCH methods have considerably better power properties in measuring the volatility than the EWMA methods. However, the number of exceptions from the GARCH model, although much less than the EWMA model but the numbers were still above 5% and 1% (confidence level of 95% and 99%). The arguments for explained this finding is a pressure from stakeholders or the existence of an economic events that result in changes in exposure due to the different policies. As a result, the VaR model would be inaccurate to reality.Keywords: volatility, backtesting, EWMA, and GARCH

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pemasaran merupakan sebuah aktivitas yang telah biasa terjadi dalam perusahaan untuk menciptakan, mengkomunikasikan, menyampaikan serta menawarkan produk atau jasa yang bernilai kepada konsumen. Untuk mendapatakan perhatian dari konsumen, perlu adanya strategi pemasaran dari perusahaan yang dapat menggambarkan tingkat kesadaran konsumen terhadap produk yang ditawarkan atau brand awareness. Brand awareness merupakan suatu sikap positif yang diberikan masyarakat kepada perusahaan. Brand awareness dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain public relation, advertising, dan word of mouth. Perusahaan perlu memperhatikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi brand awareness sehingga awareness yang dihasilkan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sekaligus menjelaskan pengaruh public relation, advertising, dan word of mouth terhadap brand awareness di Toko X Cake and Bakery. Penulis memilih perusahaan ini dikarenakan perusahaan tersebut saat ini memiliki permasalahan pada penguatan brand awareness. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 160 responden yang terdiri dari pelanggan Toko X maupun yang bukan pelanggan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner secara online. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linear berganda. Metode pengujian hipotesis menggunakan alat bantu program SPSS v26.0. Setiap variabel yang diuji telah valid dan reliabel, serta telah layak secara model menurut uji asumsi klasik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel public relation, advertising, dan word of mouth berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap brand awareness.Kata kunci: public relation, advertising, word of mouth, brand awareness ABSTRACT Marketing is an activity that is common in companies to create, communicate, deliver and offer products or services of value to consumers. To get the attention of consumers, it is necessary to have a marketing strategy from the company that can describe the level of consumer awareness of the products offered or brand awareness. Brand awareness is a positive attitude given by the community to the company. Brand awareness is influenced by several factors, including public relations, advertising, and word of mouth. Companies need to pay attention to the factors that affect brand awareness so that the awareness generated is high. This study aims to determine as well as explain the influence of public relations, advertising, and word of mouth on brand awareness at X Cake and Bakery Stores. The author chose this company because the company currently has problems in strengthening brand awareness. The number of samples used were 160 respondents consisting of customers of Store X and non-customers. Data was collected by distributing online questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The hypothesis testing method uses the SPSS v26.0 program tool. Each variable tested was valid and reliable, and was modelly feasible according to the classical assumption test. The results showed that the variables of public relations, advertising, and word of mouth had a positive and significant effect on brand awareness.Kata kunci: public relation, advertising, word of mouth, brand awareness

Abstract

This research is empirically examined the factors fficting exchange rate. The examination will employ three models, namely, classical linier model, autoregressive, and granger. The data are drann from Indonesian monthly macro economics indicators, narnely, interest, inflation, and exchange rate. The data'is collected from 2005-2007. The empirical result of this research indicates that the most fficient model is Granger Causality Model. Moreover, the result also find that interest and inflation rate affect the exchanged rate.Keywords: Interest, inflation, exchange rate, classical linier model, autoregressiu.e, and granger causality model

Abstract

This research aimed to test the effects of size, liquidity, profitability, business risk, and sales growth to capital structure. The objects of this research were companies in property and real estate sector listed in Jakarta Stock Exchange. This research used period from 2010 to 2014 and used panel dataanalysis. The result showed size had positive effect on capital structure. Furthermore, liquidity, profitability, business risk, and growth of sales had negative effect on capital structure. This research could be concluded to support the Pecking Order Theory.Keywords: Capital Structure, Size, Liquidity, Profitability, Business Risks , and Sales GrowthPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh ukuran perusahaan, likuiditas, profitabilitas, risiko bisnis, dan pertumbuhan penjualan terhadap struktur modal. Adapun objek dalam penelitian iniadalah perusahaan yang termasuk dalam sektor properti dan real estate yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2010-2014 dengan menggunakan analisis data Panel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh positif terhadap struktur modal. Selanjutnya, tingkat likuiditas, pertumbuhan profitabilitas, risiko bisnis, dan pertumbuhan penjualan berpengaruh negatif terhadap struktur modal.
