Abstract

This research examined the role of a destination atmospheric cues on tourist' desire to engage in word of mouth (WOM) communication. It adopted the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) model taken from retail theory. In implementing the model, Organism were the combination of three aspects, namely process, affective and cognitive states. Information from 393 foreign tourists visiting Batam City illustrated the power of SOR in explaining the role of atmospheric cues to forming desire WOM communication. Importantly, the results of the research also highlighted the procedural nature of the cognitive state of the organism. This research reinforced the importance of studying tourist behavior through an SOR angles and how affective and cognitive elements of organisms contributed to foreign tourist decision making

Abstract

Various Lung Diseases will still be a public health problem. COPD or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases (COPD) is a disease characterized by partially reversible and progressive inhalation flow obstruction associated with an abnormal inflammatory response from the lungs to exposure to harmful particles or gases (Black, JM & Hawk, JH 2014). Respiratory disease generally affects sleep, especially clients with chronic lung disease such as emphysema with clinical symptoms of short breathing. Most COPD patients report that their sleep is often disturbed due to shortness of breath, coughing and excessive secretion production, especially at night. The study design used was descriptive. The population in this study were COPD patients in the jasmine room at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau province. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling as many as 30 respondents. The instrument in this study to assess the quality of the bed using the PSQI questionnaire. The results showed that the sleep quality of lung disease patients treated in the jasmine room at Arifin Achmad Hospital was in the bad category, namely 23 people (77%). This research is expected to be a reference in providing nursing interventions for COPD sufferers who experience sleep disorders

Abstract

Cancer Related Fatigue (CRF) in children with leukemia is one of the complaints that is often experienced due to the effects of chemotherapy. One of the actions that can be done to reduce it is through the Walking Exercise Program (WEP). WEP is a program exercise developed based on the principles of frequency, duration, intensity, and activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of physical exercise WEP on fatigue in children with leukemia with the design "Quasy Experimental Pretest-Posttest without control ”. The population of this study were all children with leukemia in YKAKI Riau with a total sample of 30 respondents by considering inclusion and exclusion criteria. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with the test Wilcoxon to compare fatigue between before and after the intervention. The results showed that the average fatigue of children with leukemia before getting intervention was 3.53 (SD 2.763; 95% CI 2.50-4.57) and the average fatigue of children with leukemia after receiving intervention was 1.23 (SD 1.104; 95% CI.82) -1.65). Based on the results of the test analysis Wilcoxon , the value was significance 0.000 (p <0.05), thus there was a significant difference in fatigue between before the intervention and after the intervention was given. The recommendation from the results of this study is that WEP can be used as an intervention in providing nursing care to children with leukemia to reduce fatigue.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the spatial concentration of manufacturing industry and examines the factors that influence it. The method of analysis using entropy theil index and pooling of data with the object of manufacturing industry employment as a means of measuring the concentration of spatial and time series data during the study period, namely from 2008 to 2016 and the cross section with 9 industry sectors according to the two-digit industrial classification ISIC Revision 3 in 30 provinces of Indonesia. The data was collected using secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Data and Information Center (Pusdatin), and the Agency for Industrial Research and Development (BPPI) Ministry of Industry and related literature. Spatial gaps between islands manufacturing industry clearly visible where the Theil entropy index value in Java is very high which means the manufacturing industry is concentrated on the island, while on other islands are very low. While the calculation of theil index for spatial gaps in the island shows that the island of Sumatra occurred in a larger gap than the other islands. This happens due to the island of Sumatra, manufacturing industry workers accumulate only in some provinces, that is most dominant in the provinces of North Sumatra and South Sumatra and Lampung. While the level of the lowest spatial concentration is the islands of Bali and Nusa Tenggara, which means the manufacturing industry employment relative spread (dispersion). Regression results show that the model of spatial concentration was significantly affected by variables that are used, except for human capital variables. And this model is rejected in part the hypothesis of neoclassical theory (NCT), but supports the new trade theory (NTT) and the new economic geography (NEG). Keywords: Theil Entropy index, pooling data, spatial concentration, neoclassical theory, new trade theory
