Abstract

The incidence of stunting in Indonesia has increased by 2.1% according to data presented by Basic Health Research in 2018 with a total percentage of 27.5% in 2016 and increased to 29.6% in 2017. This study is a descriptive study with a systematic review method. . Seeing the causes and prevalence of stunting as well as government and community efforts in tackling stunting is the goal of this study. The results showed that stunting cases in 2018 increased by 2.1% to 29.6%. Stunting in Indonesia is mostly caused by difficulty in accessing nutritious food, lack of exclusive breastfeeding, low birth weight (LBW) and low education level and parental income. The government has made various efforts such as intervention in various sectors, however, the incidence of stunting is still quite high. Thus, to tackle the incidence of stunting, collaboration with the community is needed to be more concerned and aware of knowledge related to balanced nutrition, especially for pregnant women, maternity mothers, toddlers and children.

The purpose of this study is to describe the eating habits of elementary school students from carbohydrate and protein sources during the pandemic. This study is a correlational study using a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were elementary school students at Mutiara Elementary School, Garuda Village, Andir District with a total of 95 students as respondents. Abstract

The aim of this study to review the most recent research on the factors that most influence hydration. This study review using the literature research from google scholar, PubMed, and Elsevier. Many athletes after training experience dehydration due to not consuming enough fluids and electrolytes before, during training, and competition. To assess hydration status cannot be determined by just one factor. The general recommendation of hydration status measures using accurate biomarkers to detect body water fluctuations of 3% of total body water (TBW), using dehydration index, body mass, or color of urine. Therefore, monitoring hydration status is very important to maintain athlete performance. Exercise increases hypohydration due to fluid losses so that should be given to fluid supplementation and intake from certain food for each athlete. The factor that most influences the athlete's hydration is sweat loss and fluid intake.

Abstract

Length of stay shows the level of management efficiency and quality of care provided by the hospital. The length of stay from the economic aspect for the patient will increase the cost of care that they have to pay. Characteristics, nosocomial infections, complications, and wound healing can affect the patients' length of stay. This study aims to analyze the correlation between characteristics and nutritional status with the length of stay of ICU patients in Purwakarta. This study is a quantitative analytical study using secondary data, namely the patient's medical record. The accidental sampling technique selected a total of 80 patient data in this study. The variables studied were gender, age, occupation, type of diagnosis, nutritional status, and length of stay. Data were analyzed using chi-square. The results of the analysis using the Chi-square test showed that there were three variables related to the length of stay of ICU patients, namely age (p = 0.040), type of disease (p = 0.005), and nutritional status (p = 0.047). Gender (p=0.96) and occupation (p=0.234) were not related to the length of stay of ICU patients. Age, type of diagnosis, and nutritional status related to the length of stay of ICU patients. Hospitals need to provide exceptional services to elderly and malnourished patients to speed up the healing process.

Abstract

This study aims to see nutritional status, physical condition and the position of Sumedang volleyball athletes, information related to anthropometry and the physical condition of volleyball athletes based on each playing position is very useful for identifying athletes' performance when playing. In addition, for a coach this information can be used as a reference to seeing someone's faith in playing volleyball. This research method uses analysis with a descriptive approach. Data collection is done to get data related to the existing phenomenon related to the variable studied and not intended for hypothesis testing. Middle Blockers, Opposite, and Outside Hitter have more dominant playing characteristics to block opponent attacks and attacks have a higher, lower BMI, higher reach, and setter and libero have characteristics that might be more suitable for passing, receiving service opponents, and accepting the opponent's attack has shorter posture, has a heavier body, and a shorter leap coverage. There are differences in characteristics related to the needs of the position of this player related to the main task they do.

Abstract

Chronic energy deficiency is the cause of an imbalance between energy intake and expenditure. Efforts that can be made to overcome SEZ are by providing energy-rich foods. There must be innovative foods given to SEZ youth, such as cupcakes that use durian seed flour substitution. This study aims to determine the best formulation and acceptability and utilization of durian seed flour in the manufacture of high energy and protein cupcakes through proximate and fiber analysis. This research was conducted in March 2021. This study used an experimental research method with a non-factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The results of this study produced the selected cupcake, namely F2 with the formulation (75 g wheat flour and 75 g durian seed flour) and produced 328.92 kcal of energy (Per 100 g) of protein 12.23%, fat 12.60%, and carbohydrates 41, 65%. Further research is needed on the effect of giving durian seed flour cupcakes to KEK adolescents.

Abstract

According to WHO, public health problems can be considered chronic if the prevalence of stunting is more than 20%, meaning that stunting is a serious health problem in Indonesia. East Java is a province with a high prevalence of under-five and stunted nutritional status, which is 30%-40%. The Malang Regency is one of 100 priority district/city interventions. To help reduce stunting, the Puskesmas unites the growth and development of children under five and provides care to pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there were among the puskesmas programs which included the provision of Vitamin A, the provision of blood-added tablets and the provision of additional food to pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency conditions with the incidence of stunting in Malang Regency. This research is an analytical survey research using secondary data from the Malang District Health Office. The type of sample used was purposive sampling, namely by selecting the Puskesmas with the highest stunting cases (close to 20% or more) so that 10 Public Health Center were obtained as samples and research sites. The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between the administration of blood-boosting tablets and the provision of additional food to pregnant women with chronic energy deficiency conditions with the incidence of stunting in Malang Regency. The importance of conducting further research on the causes of stunting in Malang Regency, caused by stunting is a complex factor, involving various factors.
