Abstract

Instilling social values in students is a very urgent concept, because the social studies concept examines how social attitudes, social relationships and social behavior must be carried out by students in their lives. In social studies learning, learning tools and learning elements are needed, for example teacher elements, objectives, materials and facilities as well as methods which are not an easy task to be able to transform social studies values in students. All existing elements must be packaged and arranged completely so that the learning process is interesting for students, is of higher quality and learning objectives can be achieved. In reality the teacher's role and students' enthusiasm for social studies learning, there are still many problems, including 1) teachers carry out more teaching and learning activities in the form of lectures, 2) the dominance of the expository method, 3) the growth of a Verbalistic Learning Culture, 4) Teaching Centered on Textbooks (Textbook Centered), 5) Teachers who are still transferring of Knowledge. Conditions like this cause social studies to be a boring, boring subject (low student motivation) so that social studies subjects are underestimated by students which in the end mastery of subject matter by students, the percentage is small and the value of social studies lessons is low. Based on this background, it is important to study why social studies teachers need to innovate learning by applying learning methods outside the classroom (outdoor study)? how do social studies teachers apply learning methods outside the classroom (outdoor study) so as to increase students' learning motivation?. This study is a literature study. This study was conducted by analyzing the literature related to social studies learning problems and learning methods that are able to activate students in learning. The data analyzed are articles from accredited national journals, books and other relevant sources. learning activities outside the classroom (outdoor study) can be one solution to improve student learning in social studies learning by looking directly at phenomena which of course must be related to the topics the teacher teaches. The outdoor study method is a learning activity outside the classroom or school that aims to concretize and at the same time link all students' conceptual understanding of the subject matter with the natural environment and actual phenomena.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out youtube media in brave learning in the pandemic era, to describe the effect of using youtube media in brave learning in the covid 19 era, and to find out the role of teachers in implementing the use of youtube media in the brave learning process. This research was conducted in an elementary school environment, qualitative research methods. The primary data in this study is a bold learning activity using youtube media which will be divided into several screenshots of youtube video images in conducting the analysis. While secondary data obtained by researchers based on literature studies to complement the data held by researchers, including books and scientific articles. The results of the research are: 1) YouTube learning media is very meaningful in bold learning so that it can increase students' interest and motivation to learn, 2) In using YouTube media, teachers are creative and innovative in making interesting learning videos, 3) Utilization of YouTube media in learning daring can make it easier for students to learn, anywhere and anytime, because youtube media can be accessed by students easily.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the steps in preparing the design of the quartet card learning media device for social studies learning material for the ASEAN region to improve the learning outcomes of sixth grade elementary school students. The type of research is R&D (Research & Development) with five steps of ADDIE model adoption. The resulting product is a multidisciplinary social studies learning media in the form of an ASEAN quartet card. The subjects in this study were 117 elementary school grade VI students from five elementary schools. The research instrument is a questionnaire and a test of student learning outcomes. Analysis of the data by means of analyzing the level of product validity and testing the gave effectiveness of using the product to improve learning outcomes. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis.The results of the validity test of the ASEAN quartet card learning media meet the very valid criteria according to material experts with a score of 98%, media experts 98% and learning experts 94%. This indicates that the learning media The ASEAN quartet card that was applied an increase in student learning outcomes and was declared effective in the ASEAN Social Studies lesson content in grade VI Elementary School.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology today causes the flow of information to be fast and without limits. This allows all parties to obtain information quickly, easily, and abundantly from various sources and places where they are located. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interactive learning media on increasing students' motivation and learning outcomes on the content of Social Sciences (IPS) lessons and so that teachers can learn more concrete information that is abstract. This study used an experimental method, carried out in class V SD Negeri 1 Kutoarjo, and the sample was taken as many as 38 students. The results showed an increase in learning motivation of 0.74 with high interpretation, critical thinking ability of 0.72 with high interpretation, and student learning outcomes of 0.35 with medium category. The application of interactive learning media can increase the motivation and learning outcomes of fifth graders at SD Negeri 1 Kutoarjo for Social Studies Lessons.

Abstract

The purpose of conducting this research is to find out (1) Data on the educational background of parents of grade 2 SMU 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul, (2) Data on the intensity of parental attention of students in grade 2 SMU 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul, (3) Achievement student learning at SMU 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul, (4)The effect of educational background on student achievement in grade 2 at SMU 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul, (5) The effect of the intensity of parental attention on student achievement at SMU 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul, (6) The effect educational background of parents and the intensity of parental attention to parental learning achievement on learning achievement at SMU 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul. The population is 2nd grade students of SMU 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul which consists of 3 classes with a total of 116 students, all populations are taken as research respondents. The data collection method used is the questionnaire/questionnaire method and the documentation method. Data analysis was carried out by descriptive statistical analysis, partial correlation and multiple correlation. The results of the study are as follows: (1) The educational background of parents (X1) is 48,39% (2) the intensity of parental attention (X1) is 73.28% is in the medium category,(3)Student achievement in grade2SMU1Bakedat 100.00% is in the medium category, (4) There is a significant positive effect of parents' educational background and the intensity of parental attention on student achievement at SMU 1 Panggang, Gunungkidul. This means that the higher the educational background of parents and the intensity of parental attention, the higher the student's learning achievement, (5) the educational background of parents and the intensity of parental attention together make an effective contribution to learning achievement by 36, 261%.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought changes in various fields, including the field of education. Learning activities are carried out online, various facilities have been used, but the data shows that there is a decreasing interest and participation of students in participating in online learning, so it takes the creativity of teachers to innovate in order to create learning media that are in accordance with the characteristics of students, with the educational game "Game Si Kakak Gara -gara ASEAN” creates a pleasant atmosphere in social studies learning. This development research aims to develop products and to improve learning outcomes for social studies subjects. The method used is research and development (R&D) which adapts the 4D-Thiagarajan model. The procedure in question includes 4 stages, namely, (1) defining, (2) designing, (3) developing, (4) dissemination (dissemination). The subjects of this study were students of class VIII E of SMP N 2 Gedangsari. The data analysis technique was quantitative-descriptive, in the form of an average expert validation score. The results showed that the feasibility level of the game "Gemas Si Kakak Gara-gara ASEAN" which was developed based on media expert validation was 92.5% for material expert validation; and 91%. As for learning outcomes, the average value of students also increased, before using the game "Game Gemas Si Kakak because of ASEAN" students who reached the KKM were only 20 or 62.5% with an average value of students reaching 68.75 out of 32 students, after using games, students who reach above the KKM become 29 or 90.62% with the average value of students being 84.06 or an increase of 28% from the beginning. This shows that the game "Gemas Si Kakak because of ASEAN" is effective in improving the learning outcomes of class VIII students and is suitable for use as a learning medium.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on the education sector. Changes in curriculum policies and teacher work systems lead to changes in the process of teaching and learning activities. Before the pandemic, teaching and learning activities took place face-to-face/offline at schools, while during the pandemic teaching and learning activities took place online/online and face-to-face meetings were limited. Changes in the learning system have a very significant impact. Students who are accustomed to participating in face-to-face learning activities will require a process of adapting, especially students who do not yet have infrastructure that supports the online learning process, such as cellphones, quotas and signals. The obstacles faced during the pandemic can result in learning loss or learning loss for students. SD IT Bina Insani Panggang is trying to deal with learning loss in learning social studies content with Project Based Learning. This research is a qualitative research. Research place at SD IT Bina Insani Panggang Gunungkidul. The research subjects were students of class I-VI SD IT Bina Insani Panggang. The results of the research are in the form of information about the implementation of Project Based Learning facing Learning Loss in learning social studies content at SD IT Bina Insani Panggang for the academic year 2021-2022.

Abstract

The development of the world towards the Metaverse greatly affects human life. In addition to having a positive impact, negative impacts are also unavoidable. The ease of accessing information through the internet is also very influential in lifestyle, especially for the younger generation. One way to fortify oneself from negative influences is to find in the Vedic scriptures, about character. This teaching is called Tri Kaya Parisudha or three core characters, namely: thinking well (manacika), saying good (wacika), and doing good (kayika). The character values developed for each core character are different. The core character includes the good values of positive thinking, religious character, and belief in the law of causality, the core character says good, includes values, tells the truth, while the good core character includes the values of compassion, honesty, caring for the environment, and discipline. The teaching of character education is carried out in an integrated manner in learning. By knowing, ensuring, and implementing the Tri Kaya Parisudha, young people can be wiser in everyday life.
