Abstract

Leadership in educational institutions is very important because educational institutions have a main mission, namely to produce the next generation of smart and useful for themselves, society, and the surrounding environment. Educational institutions become a very important place for individuals to seek knowledge and apply the knowledge gained, the function of education management is very important to apply. Management is basically a process of using resources effectively to achieve certain goals or objectives in an organization or institution. This research focuses on how leadership management improves the emotional intelligence of individuals in educational institutions. This research method the author uses the library research method, where in making this journal the main sources are obtained from books, journals, and scientific articles. Therefore, a leader is able to foster a spirit of learning and always motivate the nation's successors/students and understand and realize the abilities that a person has towards what he experiences either through thoughts, words or deeds, not only carrying out obligations or fulfilling obligations but more than that emotional intelligence must be truly realized clearly.

Abstract

Think Talk Write cooperative learning model that affects the mathematical communication and mathematical problem solving skills of fifth grade elementary school students. This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the Think Talk Write learning model on improving mathematical communication skills and mathematical problem solving skills, this study uses a type of quantitative research with a Quasy Ezperimental Design approach with an Onegrup Pretest-Postest design. The population in this study were all fifth grade elementary school students in the Dipanegara Cluster of 10 schools, with a research sample of 31 fifth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Babadan and SD Negeri 2 Babadan. There were 18 fifth grade students from SD Negeri 1 Babadan as the experimental class and 13 fifth grade students from SD Negeri 2 Babadan as the control group. Data collection techniques used observation instruments/analysis of student answers, test instruments and documentation that had passed the validity and reliability tests. Prerequisite tests needed before testing the hypothesis include normality test, homogeneity test, linear test and regression test. The results obtained showed that the Think Talk Write learning model had an effect on math communication skills by 44.6% and on problem solving skills by 5.7%.

Abstract

Teachers' professional competence plays an important role in designing effective learning, utilizing technology, and developing innovative materials to improve the quality of teaching and student achievement in the era of modern education. This study aims to describe the assessment of material experts, media experts, and practitioners, and to analyze the effectiveness of developing an e-book guide to creating Canva-based learning media to improve the professional competence of elementary school teachers. In preparing the research, it is necessary to prepare several supporting instruments, including e-book validation instruments, test instruments, interview instruments, and a prototype of the final product in the form of an e-book guide to creating PowerPoint learning media using Canva for elementary school teachers. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The research was conducted in the Wakhidin Sudirohusodo Cluster, Mandiraja District. Data collection used questionnaires, tests at the implementation stage, and interviews with experimental and control class strategies by holding training to produce products and measure the improvement of the professional competence of elementary school teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of PBL model learning assisted by the Polya method on improving mathematical reasoning and problem solving skills of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Kasmaran in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research uses a quantitative research approach, with an associative research type (relationship), and uses quantitative analysis methods (data in the form of numbers). Data on mathematical reasoning and problem solving skills were collected through observation using an assessment instrument in the form of a rubric. The sample in this study totalled 46 students. The research data were processed using simple linear regression test with the results for the effect of PBL model learning assisted by Polya method on mathematical reasoning skills tcount 2.478 and ttabel 2.015 means tcount > ttabel . For the effect of PBL model learning assisted by Polya method on problem solving skills tcount = 2.902 and ttabel = 2.776, means tcount 2.902 > ttabel 2.015. Based on the results of this study, it shows that there is an effect of PBL model learning assisted by Polya method on mathematical reasoning ability and problem solving ability of fourth grade students of SD Negeri Kasmaran in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

Mathematics is a universal science that has a major role in the development of knowledge, technology, and information (Sutarsa, 2021). It serves as the foundation for various disciplines, as every field of science inherently involves mathematics. Therefore, mathematics is taught at every level of education in Indonesia, from elementary schools to universities, to foster and develop students’ abilities in logical, analytical, systematic, critical, and creative thinking, as well as their collaboration skills. One of the mathematical competencies expected to be developed in schools is students’ mathematical thinking ability. This includes critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical connections, mathematical reasoning, and creative thinking skills (Silviana, 2021). Background from this watchfulness because the ability of Class V students at SD Negeri 3 Kalipelus to solve mathematics problems remains relatively low, Students’ critical thinking skills are underdeveloped, as teachers tend to pay limited attention to how students respond to the problems, Students’ lack of active involvement often leads to their exclusion, which hinders the development of their mathematical critical thinking skills, Students still experience difficulties in identifying the relevant concepts, especially when the given problems involve more than one concept. Therefore, one of the alternative instructional strategies that teachers can apply to support students in the learning process is the scaffolding strategy. Scaffolding is a strategy that serves to bridge the gap between students’ existing knowledge and the new knowledge they are expected to acquire. Scaffolding is considered an effective and appropriate strategy for teachers to use when assisting students in solving mathematical problems. This is supported by research conducted by Yuntawati, titled “The Effectiveness of Scaffolding on Improving Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability.” The study yielded positive results, showing a significant difference in problem-solving abilities between the class that received scaffolding and the class that did not, indicating that scaffolding was effective in enhancing students’ mathematical problem-solving skills in that study.

Abstract

This mini research aimed to examine the effectiveness of interactive multimedia on collaboration skills and science learning outcomes concerning the human respiratory system among fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Kalibombong. Interactive multimedia on the respiratory system was directly utilized during the learning sessions for fifth graders. This study adopted an experimental research design with a quasi-experimental setup. The research procedure included a preparatory phase with initial observations and the development of research instruments, the implementation phase, and the conclusion phase. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Kalibombong, Banjarnegara district. Data collection techniques used were observations, document analysis, surveys, and tests. Based on the t-test results for the collaboration skills variable, a tvalue of 2.125 was obtained, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.048, thus H1 was accepted. Similarly, the t-test results for the learning outcomes variable showed a tvalue of 3.112, exceeding the t-table value of 2.048, leading to the acceptance of H1. This mini research concludes that interactive multimedia is effective in enhancing collaboration skills and science learning outcomes related to the human respiratory system.
