Abstract

Currently, the learning concept used in realizing 21st-century learning is that students need media or facilities in learning activities to become fun. Educational comics are an alternative used as learning media to improve the quality of education for the better. This study uses the R & D (Research and Development) research method with the research stage of the Borg and Gall model, which has been modified by Sugiono and consists of 7 research stages due to time, cost, and also the impact of the co-19 pandemic. This study aims to: (1) describe the development of the educational comic "Science Detective" as a learning medium and (2) find out students' responses to the development of the educational comic "Science Detective" as a learning medium. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade elementary school students. The instruments in this study were product validation instruments and student responses, while the data analysis scale used was the Likert scale and Guttman scale. In making it, the applications used are Medibangpaint Photoshop CS3 and Canva. The results of the research show that: (1) the development in this study was declared fit for use as learning media; this was based on the validation of media and material designs with successive percentages of 94% and 92% with the criteria of "Very Appropriate" and "Not Revised". (2) the results of student responses or product trials of 8 elementary school students obtained a score with a percentage of 95% with the "Very Good" criterion. So it can be concluded that the educational comic learning media "Science Detective" can be declared feasible and suitable for alternative learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's perception of the application of the concept of independent learning at SD Negeri Alluka. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires or interviews. Based on the results of the research through the interview process with several question points, the result was that the teacher's perception of the application of independent learning was good, but what was still an obstacle in implementing independent learning was the lack of understanding of teachers regarding independent learning broadly. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the teacher's perception of the application of independent learning at SD Negeri Alluka is good, but there is still a need for special socialization to provide a broad understanding of independent learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the description and influence of the outdoor study method on student learning outcomes in the subject of Natural Sciences at SDN 34 Libureng. Data collection techniques using direct observation, tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study is the test/T-test data analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that learning using the outdoor study method influences student learning outcomes in Natural Sciences (IPA) subjects. In collecting data, research uses observation techniques, documentation and tests. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of the outdoor study method in learning Natural Sciences. This is evidenced in the t-test table (Independent Sample Test) by obtaining a significance value of 0.006 <0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted or tcount > ttable (13, 09 > 2.131).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of Geometry grade IV students at SD Bawakaraeng 1 with the application of quartet game media. Using the Descriptive Analysis method of classroom action research, namely studies used to collect, process, analyze, interpret and conclude data so that a systematic picture is obtained in increasing activity and learning outcomes. The subjects in this study were all 24 students of grade IV. The instruments used were test sheets and student activity observation sheets. Data collection techniques are tests and observations. There was a significant increase after applying the quartet game media in learning geometry. The average percentage of positive activity was in the good category, namely 73.95%, while in cycle 2 it was in the very good category, namely 85.39%. For the percentage of negative activity in cycle 1 of 12.5% ​​and cycle 2 of 4.1%, this means that positive activity has increased and negative activity has decreased. And there was an increase in the number of students who had completed or reached KKM, namely as many as 11 students or 45.83% in cycle 1 and as many as 21 students who completed or 87.5% in cycle 2. There was an increase in student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 2 percentage of 41.67%. This shows that the application of quartet game media on geometry material can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes at SD Bawakaraeng 1 Makassar city.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strengthening literacy-based character education in primary school students. A qualitative research method was used with a descriptive approach at Romang Polong State Primary School, Gowa Regency. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then validated through data triangulation. The results showed that the role of teachers in strengthening character education is reflected through programs such as Scouting and religious brotherhood, as well as literacy cultures such as reading corners, reading parks, and libraries. The application of student character includes human values, discipline, perseverance, and spirituality. Literacy shapes the surface by introducing ethical concepts, developing critical skills, empathy, effective communication, and self-identity. The integration of character education and literacy is expected to form quality students with positive values who can contribute to a better society.

Abstract

This type of research is experimental research. The research variables are the independent variable in the form of suggestopedia method and the dependent variable, namely students' writing ability. The population of this study were students of grades VA and VB. The sampling technique was simple random sampling and class VB as the experimental group and class VA as the control group. The data collection technique was a test technique. The reliability test was carried out using the Cronbach alpha coefficient formula with an alpha of 0.732. Content validity with expert judgment. The normality test results showed that the research data were normally distributed. The homogeneity test results show that the variance of the research data is homogeneous. The results showed that there was a significant difference in students' writing skills between students who learned to write free essays using the suggestopedia method and students who learned to write free essays without using the suggestopedia method. This is shown from the calculation of t test obtained df62, p = 0.040 <0.05. Learning to write free essays is more effective using the suggestopedia method than learning to write free essays without using the suggestopedia method. This is indicated by the mean value of the experimental pretest of 19.78, and the mean value of the experimental posttest of 22.28, which means there is an increase of 2.5. The mean score of the control pretest was 18.91 and the mean score of the control posttest was 20.91, which means there was an increase of 2. The difference in the increase in the average score of the two groups was 0.50.

Abstract

The implementation of this study aims to determine the appropriate teaching aids for multiplication material in elementary schools. The design of this research is library research by preparing equipment, compiling a work bibliography, managing time, reading and making research notes. The props used to teach multiplication material are KOBELA (Magic Learning Box), Jarimatika and Multiplication Board. with the results of the literature review, it can be concluded that teaching aids function to explain or demonstrate a subject in the teaching and learning process on multiplication material.
