Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of (1) pedagogical competence, (2) professional competence, (3) social competence, and (4) teacher personality competence simultaneously on the performance of Middle and High school Cita Hati Surabaya teachers. The type of research used is quantitative research. The research subjects were all teachers of Middle and High school Cita Hati Surabaya with a total of 120 teachers, and the object of this research was teacher competence and teacher performance. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and analyzed by 'ryx' test, F test, and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between the competency variable (X) and the performance variable for junior-senior high school teachers at Cita Hati Surabaya School (Y) with a ryx value of 0.701 and a positive value. There is a significant relationship between the competency variable (X) in shaping the teacher performance variable for Middle and High school at Cita Hati Surabaya School (Y) with an F value of 72,343 with a value of = 0.00 which is significant at < 0.05. The equation of the linear regression line is = 18.534 + 0.742 X. This means that for every improvement in competence once, the performance of Middle and High school teachers at Cita Hati Schools in Surabaya is 0.742 times.

Abstract

There are various ways to teach people to be able to hope and rely on God. Behold, LORD, who among the gods is like you? Who is like you, wonderful in holiness? Who can work miracles and mighty acts like yours? This article argues that the song of Moses teaches the faith lesson. The miracle of God brings healing and comfort. Therefore, God’s deliverance should encourage the people of God to trust the Lord more in their difficulties.

Abstract

The implementation of Christian Education must be based on correct theological principles, so as not to deviate from Bible truth, and glorify the Lord Jesus, the giver of the task of Christian Education itself. One of the main and important texts on this subject is Matthew 28:16-20 which is known as the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus for all believers, and the task of teaching part of it. Therefore, it is very important to understand the principles of Christian Education theology according to this text. Based on the exegesis study of Matthew 28:16-20, several Christian Education theological principles are put forward in it, namely: (1) Actors of Christian Education must have a loyal character, and be taught about the Bible first so they have teaching skills later; (2) The content or material taught in Christian Education is the teachings of the Lord Jesus; (3) Christian Education must be carried out by all believers, namely they have all the conditions in the first point; (4) Christian Education must function as a means of discipling every new believer (new disciple) to mature their faith; (5) Christian Education must be given to all believers of all ages; (6) Christian Education is the task from the Lord Jesus, the Owner of all power in heaven and on earth, therefore, it is a task that must be carried out; (7) Christian Education must aim to form every believer to become obedient to the teachings of the Lord Jesus; (8) Christian Education actors will be accompanied by the Lord Jesus; (9) Christian Education must be carried out on the basis of the authority of the Lord Jesus.

Abstract

Tithing is a part of Christianity itself. Even so, the debate about the teachings of tithing among theologians is still ongoing, giving rise to two opposing camps, pros, and cons of tithing with their respective reasons. As for what is the main core of writing this research is to find out whether there is an influence of spirituality on tithing, and if there is, how much influence the spirituality of tithing. This study used a sample of 83 members of the Bethel Tabernacle Church in Surabaya who are already earning. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and analysis techniques data, namely using statistical analysis with the SPSS 19.0 program. As for the results of this study, it was found that the influence of spirituality on the tithe offering of the Congregational Bethel Tabernacle Congregation of Kalam Hidup Surabaya was included in the intense/high category. Second, the contribution of the spirituality variable in forming the tithing variable for the congregation of the Bethel Tabernacle Church of Kalam Hidup Surabaya is 36%. Third, from the resulting linear equation, it is found that if this spirituality is increased once, the development of the tithing congregation of the Bethel Tabernacle Church of Kalam Hidup Surabaya will increase by 0.588 times.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to gain a deeper understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a Christian Religious Education teacher, who serves as the main actor in teaching. Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy on teacher education is considered to be a trusted and imitable example, which can be used as a basis for vocation. This research aims to examine how teachers can serve as role models and how this can be implemented by Christian Religious Education teachers in today's context. The study findings indicate that Christian teachers must lead by example in their teaching, fulfill their duties and calling as a gift in teaching, and make Jesus the main principle of their exemplary conduct. The purpose of this research is to illustrate the efforts made by Christian Religious Education teachers to enhance their duties and calling as teachers and to determine whether they have become role models in the present day.

Abstract

There is wisdom that will be the measure.James 3:13-18 offer an answer. James describes that wisdom from above is pure, peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy, good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy, righteousness, and peace. Wisdom, in the book of James, benefits individual and community (chapter 1 and 3). With wisdom will go through the various struggles of life.

Abstract

A strong generation in facing every development of the times is a generation that has strong and good character. Technological sophistication that presents new innovations through digital technology also makes the transition of human life enter the digitization era. Electronic devices have become the most preferred communication tool because they are equipped with various interesting features and can be used effectively, efficiently and interactively. The Z generation, known as the technology generation, has been familiar with the features in digital technology. This generation is vulnerable to negative impacts of digital technology development if its use is wrong. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a literature approach to answer the role of parents in Christian religious education in the family towards shaping the character of children. Religious education in the family is the foundation for shaping the character of every generation. Misuse of technology devices in this era has resulted in the decline of human morality. Therefore, it is very important to have guidance, mentoring, and supervision of children in instilling divine character values ​​to the next generation. The sophistication of technology in the Industry 5.0 era has awakened the hearts of parents to pay more attention to the education, guidance, and supervision of children in the family. Because God entrusted this task to parents. Parents who perform their role well will save generations who have a fear of God and have divine characters.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence on students' learning motivation. The research method employed in this study is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis. The research was conducted at Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili Indonesia Surabaya, and the findings indicate that emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence have a significant effect on students' learning motivation, accounting for 61.5% of the variance. Specifically, emotional intelligence has a 70.6% effect on learning motivation, while spiritual intelligence has a 76.9% effect. Research Contribution: This study highlights the importance of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence in influencing students' learning motivation at Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili Indonesia Surabaya. Therefore, educational institutions, particularly Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili Indonesia Surabaya, should focus on organizing student activities that promote the development of emotional and spiritual intelligence. Furthermore, educators should employ innovative teaching methods to enhance students' emotional and spiritual intelligence, ultimately leading to increased learning motivation among students.

Abstract

Humans have fallen into a slump of sin resulting in extraordinary effects in various aspects so that happiness and prosperity are difficult to obtain. If sin is allowed to continue to run rampant then all humans will perish as a result of sin. God provides a solution to get out of sin, which is to come to Jesus Christ. The problem is that not everyone is aware of their sinfulness which leads to destruction, for this reason evangelism is needed to win their souls to salvation. And the best method of evangelism is the method practiced by Jesus Christ. The purpose of this research is for every follower of Jesus to understand his responsibility for the mission of salvation and know a good method of evangelism, by reconstructing the evangelism method in John 4:1-42 based on what Ellen White wrote about Jesus' evangelism method. This research method uses qualitative methods through a review of literature studies. Evangelism is the Great Commission that Jesus conveyed to His disciples and people before ascending to heaven. Evangelism is the responsibility of every Christian, to bring everyone to Christ. Evangelism is the mission of salvation that Jesus declared to lead people to receive His grace.
