Abstract

The 2019 coronavirus disease can be spread quickly and easily, making it a potential pandemic threat. As the number of confirmed cases rises, the mental load of healthcare providers will increase, causing them to feel stressed, anxious, and negatively impacted emotionally. The primary objective of this study is to identify risk factors for mental illness among healthcare workers in Padang, Indonesia, who deal with the Covid-19 virus. The research used an explanatory sequential mixed methods design, beginning with a cross-sectional study to provide a quantitative foundation, then progressing to a more in-depth explanation using qualitative methods. There were a total of 1218 participants in this analysis. Using questionnaires and in-person interviews, we gathered information to analyze using the chi-square with 95% confidence interval and the anova test. 5.2% of healthcare workers handling Covid-19 reported moderate depression, 8.7% reported moderate anxiety, there was no correlation between occupation, interaction, residence, or average length of employment or salary, and there was no difference between the two.

Abstract

Electronic justice (e-court) is a justice system that is implemented electronically to provide easy services for court officials and parties litigating in court through the use of information technology. Application of electronic court to answer 3 (three) main problems: delays, accessibility, and integrity. The use of e-court can prevent interactions between parties related to court officials, thereby minimizing the occurrence of ethical deviations or legal violations. Apart from that, it can also reduce time, energy, and costs so that the process is more effective and efficient. The aim of the research is to find out and analyze the factors that influence the implementation of electronic court policies at the Mempawah Religious Court using George Edward III's theory (communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure). The research method used is descriptive-qualitative. The data sources were taken from documents and interviews with related parties. The research results show that electronic courts have not been utilized by people seeking justice due to several factors, including: people do not know about electronic courts, are technologically illiterate, do not have the means to use electronic courts, do not understand electronic court mechanisms, and have internet network problems. Future projections for electronic courts to be optimally utilized by people seeking justice require massive outreach and the availability of adequate equipment.

Abstract

In dam management, in addition to the safety factors of the structure and condition of the dam and the emergency action plan that needs to be prepared, other elements that need to be considered are the operation, maintenance, monitoring and observation activities of the dam. In extreme circumstances, mistakes in dam operations can be fatal. The dam can fail and cause a massive flood that can damage facilities and infrastructure, and even loss of life downstream of the dam. Risk assessment is a way to identify risks that may occur under various conditions, so that the necessary follow-up can be done if the risk is unacceptable. In this study, a risk assessment was conducted to obtain a safety value for the Kembangan Dam located in Karangmalang District, Sragen Regency, Center Java Province. The method used in this research is to use the risk index method. The risk index method assessment parameters are obtained from the initial importance factor of the dam (I dam), the calculation of the total risk index of the dam (IR tot), and the safety value of the dam (N aman). The results showed that the Kembangan dam had an initial importance factor (I dam) of 356.25, a total risk index (IR tot) of 66.618, and a dam safety value (N aman) of 81.3. Thus, it can be concluded that the safety level of the Kembangan dam is included in the Kembangan clause.

Abstract

Cirrhosis represents the advanced stage of numerous chronic liver conditions. Sarcopenia is a frequently overlooked complication in cirrhotic patients, resulting from factors such as insufficient protein intake, malabsorption, diminished muscle growth, and increased muscle breakdown. Sarcopenia is a multifaceted, chronic condition associated with elevated risks of morbidity and mortality. In the field of hepatology, sarcopenia is typically described as a phenotypic indication of muscle mass loss, affecting approximately 30-70% of liver cirrhosis patients. Sarcopenia has been scientifically linked to an increased risk of falls, reduced quality of life, the emergence of acute decompensated liver failure, and mortality in cirrhotic patients. Myostatin, classified as a cytokine within the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) family, is recognized for its role in disrupting protein synthesis. It functions as a negative regulator of muscle growth, inhibiting myogenesisand is linked to the onset of sarcopenia. Extensive literature supports the prognostic importance of sarcopenia in cirrhosis, and serum myostatin levels have the potential to serve as a valuable biomarker. Elevated myostatin concentrations have been linked to the presence of sarcopenia and decreased survival rates in individuals diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.

Abstract

This research delves into the intricate relationship between financial metrics and stock prices within the Indonesian market context. Analyzing data from IDX 30 companies over the period 2018-2022, the study focuses on net profit margin, debt ratio, total assets turnover, and current ratio as key variables. The findings reveal that net profit margin exerts a positive significant influence on stock prices, highlighting the allure of profitable companies to investors. Conversely, the current ratio exhibits a negative impact, indicating the nuanced interplay between liquidity and stock valuation. Notably, total assets turnover does not significantly influence stock prices, emphasizing the multifaceted nature of investment decisions. Additionally, the study underscores the adverse effect of higher debt ratios on stock prices, reflecting investor concerns about financial leverage. These insights offer valuable implications for investors, analysts, and policymakers, enhancing our understanding of the Indonesian stock market dynamics and aiding in strategic investment planning.

Abstract

In the era of the talent war in the coal mining industry that has occurred from 2022 to 2023, talent retention is one of the keys to success for companies in the industry, including mining contractor companies. This study aims to examine talent retention by exploring how several factors influence the talent's decision to stay or leave an organization in a talent war situation. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with a single case study on PT Tambang Indonesia. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with 29 informants and document analysis which was analyzed using thematic analysis. The main findings of this research are four pull forces that influence talent's decision to stay and four push forces that influence talent's decisions to leave in a talent war situation. The supporting findings in this research are talent retention factors at three levels of organizational behavior analysis. The findings in this study deepen previous studies regarding factors in talent retention. Suggestions for further research are to make research that can measure each force, and then be tested in a wider and more diverse context. Further research can also be conducted with a focus on measuring the level of influence of factors at three levels of organizational behavior analysis, as well as comparing the effectiveness of these factors on talent retention.

Abstract

This research is based on a phenomenon that indicates the ineffectiveness of policy synergy in dealing with the impact of the earthquake disaster in Cianjur Regency. This phenomenon can be observed from several indications, including the lack of fully effective communication patterns among stakeholders involved in disaster management. Apart from that, it was detected that there were still differences in perceptions from some stakeholders in dealing with technical matters, so that the provision of assistance tended to be uneven. There were delays in evacuating and relocating those affected by the disaster. Through desk study methods and approaches, research results were found, including; To synergize earthquake disaster management policies in Cianjur Regency, clear parameters are needed, so that all stakeholders can carry out their duties in accordance with their roles and functions. The parameters referred to include, among other things, the existence of similarities in perception, potential resources, communication patterns, attitudes of policy actors, and organizational structure. Similarity of perception among stakeholders in disaster management will be effective if a common perception is established regarding objectives, content, programs and implementation. Abstract

Carbon trading and carbon markets are critical mechanisms in global efforts to address the impacts of climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. These initiatives incentivize businesses and countries to limit carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gas emissions. This study analyzes the role of IDSurvey as a company that provides decarbonization technical assistance or decarbonization consultants. Using Soft Systems Methodology (SSM), this study examines IDSurvey's collaborative innovation in building the company's capacity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions towards the Net Zero Emissions (NZE) 2060 target. The research illustrates the innovation cycle in the public sector, highlighting idea generation, selection, implementation, and dissemination as critical stages in driving collaborative solutions for mitigation towards NZE. The results show that IDSurvey has a strategic role and position as a consulting company to help corporations benefit from carbon pricing by going through essential stages until the realization of emission reductions and the potential added value that can be obtained from carbon trading through the Carbon Exchange. Carbon pricing is a practice of the "polluters-pay-principle," so anyone who emits carbon emissions must pay compensation for the pollution released, especially for industries or businesses. This article highlights the importance of a systemic and collaborative approach to decarbonization, which places IDSurvey in a critical and global context.
