Abstract

Investigative journalism is a form of news coverage in which journalists delve deeply into information or events that may expose corruption, analyze government policies or private company practices, or uncover economic, political, and cultural trends. Investigative news coverage is typically obtained by investigative journalists when they are interested in an issue and have a strong desire to find out something. Therefore, the work of investigative journalism is not constrained by time pressure; often, investigative journalists spend years, even decades, working on a single investigative report. In this study, the author employs the theory of critical discourse analysis by Teun A Van Dijk, which focuses on the textual dimensions of a magazine, news, or broadcast. Based on this, it is important to conduct a critical discourse analysis of Tempo magazine. This research analyzes two issues: microstructure and superstructure. The study also uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with observation as the data collection method. The results of this research show that, in terms of microstructure and superstructure discourse, Tempo magazine with the title "TREASURE OF TAX OFFICIALS" can be considered a means for the implementation of investigative journalism through the careful choice of words, language, sentence structure, and style, successfully uncovering a case of tax officials' corruption.

Abstract

Optimizing the location of public health facilities is crucial to ensure public accessibility. Palembang City uses public health facilities for COVID-19 vaccine distribution and administration. This study identified the best location for COVID-19 vaccine distribution in Palembang City by implementing the Set Covering Problem (SCP) model and solving it with the Greedy Heuristic Algorithm. The SCP model consists of the Set Covering Location Problem (SCLP) model and the p-Centre Location Problem (p-CLP) and considers the separating distance between vaccine distribution sites located in each sub-district of Palembang City. The p-CLP model was formulated, and the Greedy Heuristic Algorithm was executed to determine the optimal distribution location for COVID-19 vaccines. The SCLP model successfully identified 27 optimal COVID-19 vaccine locations in Palembang City. These locations were subsequently used to formulate the p-CLP model. The p-CLP model's solution and the application of the Greedy Heuristic Algorithm yielded 27 optimal vaccine sites, which include Ariodillah Health Centre, Naga Swidak Health Centre, Sako Health Centre, Bukitsangkal Health Centre, Sei Lincah Health Centre, Kenten Health Centre, Kalidoni Health Centre, Pakjo Health Centre, Sei Baung Health Centre, Merdeka Health Centre, OPI Health Centre, Sosial Health Centre, Talang Betutu Health Centre, Myria Hospital, Sukarami Health Centre, Keramasan Health Centre, Karya Jaya Health Centre, 7 Ulu Health Centre, Sabokingking Health Centre, Charitas Hospital, Dr. Mohammad Hasan Hospital, Siti Khadijah Hospital, Bunda Hospital, Bunda Noni Hospital, Pelabuhan Kelas ll Palembang Health Office, Tiara Fatrin Hospital, and Alang-Alang Lebar Health Centre.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine efforts to resolve street vendors' conflicts regarding the use of Sultan Ground in the Jalan Representative area. The method in this research uses a qualitative case study approach as a method to understand the significance of social problems. The data collection technique in this research uses primary data involving sources from the Yogyakarta City Land and Spatial Planning Service, the Kraton Panitikismo, the Yogyakarta Legal Aid Institute, the Representative Communication and Coordination Forum, and the DIY Land Care Forum for the sake of the Republic of Indonesia. Meanwhile, secondary data uses relevant research, documents, and mass media. The collected data is analyzed interactively with three stages of analysis, including: First, data reduction, namely collecting data. Second, data presentation, namely describing research data that has been successfully reduced. Third, drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the indicators for conflict de-escalation, conflict negotiation, conflict resolution, and conflict reconciliation are not going well because each indicator can be concluded not to have precise results and could even have the potential to give rise to further conflict. The absence of space for dialogue means that traders are not able to argue and try to reach an agreement that can be agreed to by both parties. Apart from that, there was no further dialogue from the government or producers with the traders after the relocation.
