Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of developing discovery-learning-based module teaching materials on reaction rate material. This type of research is called research and development (R&D). The sampling technique used was random sampling. The sample used is one class, namely class XI MIA 2, as an experimental class. The research instruments used in this study were both test instruments and non-test instruments. After obtaining the research data, the prerequisite tests were carried out, namely the normality test and the homogeneity test, finally making a decision. The discovery-based chemistry learning module on reaction rate material has been proven to be in accordance with BSNP. This module has also been effective in improving student learning outcomes, indicating a significant increase in understanding. In addition, at the limited dissemination stage, this module received very high ratings in various aspects, indicating great benefits for students in understanding chemistry materials on reaction rates. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of developing discovery-learning-based module teaching materials on reaction rate material.

Abstract

Adolescents with the problems they face need serious attention from various parties, because adolescence is part of a typical stage of life. This stage also makes adolescents occupy a position that tends to be dilemmatic and unstable in responding to every life problem they face. One of them is juvenile delinquency displayed by teenagers in Simeulue Regency. Therefore, the role of da'i dakwah on the border assigned by the Aceh Islamic Sharia Office to the Simeulue Regency area to overcome juvenile delinquency is very necessary. Data mining in this study uses observation, in-depth interviews and documentation methods. After conducting the research, the most important findings of this study can be formulated as follows: Broadly speaking, the forms of juvenile delinquency that exist in Simeulue Regency include; promiscuity, drugs, theft, motorcycle gangs. The factors that cause juvenile delinquency in Simeulue Regency include; family factors, environmental factors, peer factors, following factors and lack of supervision from the government. While the da'i border da'i da'wah method in overcoming juvenile delinquency in Simeulue Regency is divided into three; First, the Al-Hikmah da'wah method is conveyed in the da'wah model of lectures, exemplary, bil hal and tadabbur nature. Second, the Al-Mujadalah Bi-al-Lati Hiya Ahsan da'wah method is conveyed in the discussion da'wah model. Third, the method of preaching Al-Mau'idza Al-Hasanah.

Abstract

A research has been conducted to analyze the effect of remedial application on the learning outcomes of high school class XI students on Hydrocarbon material with the aim of knowing: (1) learning outcomes of students who do not apply remedial, (2) learning outcomes of students after remedial treatment, (3) the effect of remedial application on learning outcomes, and (4) students' perceptions of hydrocarbon learning. The results showed that: (1) the average value of the pretest was 62.22. (2) After remedial treatment for 4 times (5 times posttest) the results were obtained: posttest 1 with an average of 75.28, posttest 2 with an average of 72.22, posttest 3 with an average value of 78.18, posttest 4 with an average of 90, and posttest 5 with a value of 70. (3) the effect of remedial on student learning outcomes can be seen from the decrease in students who take remedial classes and also the average value that increases gradually for each remedial class conducted. (4) Based on the results of the questionnaire given, it can be concluded that students in both experimental classes like learning chemistry. This shows that students' motivation towards learning chemistry is quite good.

Abstract

Media for teachers is an important tool in delivering teaching materials. The ability to design and develop integrated media in learning is the capital of successful learning. The purpose of the research is to share ideas that teacher learning activities are required to reduce the use of the lecture method and can be enriched by the use of learning media, the role of learning media is becoming increasingly important. The research method is literature review. The results of the research that ICT is a program, for tools, manipulation and conveying information. The presence of media in the learning process really helps make it easier for students to better understand the subject. In addition, teachers or learners need to do careful planning when designing learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The contribution of ICT to the world of learning is considered very beneficial. Moreover, integrating ICT into teaching and learning practices. The use of ICT in education is suitable for managing more student-centered learning. This can create a more passionate learning activity. However, institutions are still lacking in providing proper ICT training for instructors to develop their technical ICT skills. The article was written with the aim of analyzing the literature review from various sources, both books and research results. The results showed that the participants, both instructors and students, had a positive attitude towards ICT and sufficient knowledge and positive understanding of ICT and its potential in teaching and learning. However, there are no examples of the model, the instructor provides opportunities for students to use ICT in a meaningful context. It is hoped that this article will be useful for teachers and school administrators on how to manage ICT-based learning, so that learning outcomes are maximized.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the learning outcomes of students of class X MIPA SMA N 1 Lintongnihuta who were taught using the concept attainment learning model and who were taught using conventional learning on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials and to find out the significant influence of the application of the learning model concept attainment to improve student learning outcomes on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. The population in this study were students of class X MIPA SMA N 1 Lintongnihuta, totaling 6 classes. The research sample was class X MIPA 3 as an experimental class which was taught using a concept attainment learning model and class X MIPA 5 as a control class which was taught using conventional learning. This study used a test instrument of 17 multiple choice questions. The results showed that the average experimental class student learning outcomes before and after the application of the concept attainment learning model were 44,58 and 78,83 respectively, and increased by 61%. The average learning outcomes of control class students before and after conventional learning were carried out were 42,33 and 70,52 respectively, and increased by 48%. Hypothesis testing was carried out with a one-party t test with the results of research on the concept attainment learning model, the results obtained were tcount(3.542) > ttable(1.996), then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means there is a significant effect on the use of the learning model on concept attainment on student learning outcomes on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility and student responses, from the development of a discovery learning- based module that integrated with scientific literacy. Subject of this research is module based on the discovery learning learning model which is integrated with scientific literacy. Object of this research is material of chemical equilibrium. This type of research is development that refers to the ADDIE model. This study uses non-test instruments, that used in the form of Validation Sheets that have met the BSNP standards, namely aspects of the feasibility of content, presentation, language and graphics by validator and student response questionnaire sheets with a scale of five categories. The validation feasibility result show that all aspects of the material, graphics and language are declared feasible and valid. Thus, it can be concluded that the development of discovery learning-based modules is integrated with scientific literacy in chemical equilibrium material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in learning activities, learning outcomes and student spirituality between learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the Discovery Leaning (DL) model on reaction rate material Integrated with Spiritual Values. The population in this study were all XI MIA classes consisting of two classes. All populations were taken as samples (total sample). Class XI MIA 1 is used as an experimental class 1 using PBL learning while class XI MIA 2 as an experimental class 2 with the DL model. The instruments used in this study are two, namely test and non-test instruments. Test instruments to measure learning outcomes in the form of multiple choice as many as 20 questions that are valid and reliable. Non-test instruments in the form of student learning activity observation sheets and questionnaires used to measure student spirituality. The results showed, for experimental class 1: activity 85.55 learning outcomes 72.22 and spiritual attitudes 85.58. While the experimental class 2: activity 75.50 learning outcomes 72.22 and spiritual attitude 81.27. From statistical testing obtained sig (0.0001) < α (0.05) for activity, while for learning outcomes sig (0.002) < α (0.05) H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, while for spiritual attitudes obtained sig value (0.079) > α (0.05) H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in activity and learning outcomes and no difference for the spiritual attitude of students using PBL and DL on reaction rate material Integrated spiritual values.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the effect of the implementation of Guided Inquiry and Direct Instruction learning models assisted by learning videos. The learning outcomes of students taught by the guided inquiry were higher than those taught by Direct Instruction. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Ronggurnihuta, Samosir Regency. This research is quasi-experimental research (Quasi-Experimental Design), which consists of an experimental class with a Guided Inquired learning model and a control class with Direct Instruction. The data is processed descriptively and quantitatively analyzed using the SPSS 20 for the windows program. 34.17, and the average value of the Posttest is 82.36. While in the control class, the average value of the pretest was 25.42, and the post-test value was 76.94. From the data processing and analysis, it was obtained that the experimental class learning outcomes with N-Gain increased by 74.28% (in the high category) and the control class with N-Gain by 69.81% (in the medium category). It can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model assisted by video learning is better and more effective in improving student learning outcomes than the Direct Instruction model.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the results of analysis of chemistry teaching materials on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials used in schools according to BSNP standards, develop e-modules on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials according to BSNP eligibility criteria and are project-based, and find out student learning outcomes after given project-based e-modules. The population in this study was all students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua, totaling six classes. The sample in this study was class X MIA 5 who studied using project-based chemistry e-modules. The instrument used is an e-module eligibility questionnaire in accordance with BSNP standards, a learning outcomes test of 20 questions which have been tested as valid. This research uses methods and media development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model has several stages, namely Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the e-module feasibility analysis show that the teaching materials resulting from the trial are very valid based on BSNP. Where Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, it can be concluded that the project-based chemistry learning e-module developed is better in improving students' chemistry learning outcomes in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.
