Abstract

Society is increasingly aware of the importance of character education. In celebrating National Teacher's Day 2017, character education and exemplary teachers are also the main theme. However, the emphasis on the importance of character education is sometimes not evenly applied by teachers in the teaching and learning process. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with field research. The research subjects were the 4th grade students of Ahmad Dahlan at SDIT Salsabila 2 Klaseman, teachers, principals and guardians of students. The results showed that the cause of the weak character in the class was the teacher's concentration which was too focused on developing students' academic potential and not touching their character. The strategy applied to overcome this problem is the Achievement Flag. The implementation steps are: (1) Giving one free flag to all children as bait, (2) Giving flags to those who do good regardless of the type, (3) Every Friday the flags are accumulated the most, (4) Mondays are announced when apples or ceremonies flags, (5) Given an award certificate as Student of The Week and won a door prize, (6) Photos of outstanding children displayed in front of the classroom door, (7) Successfully collecting 10 certificates will get a super door prize, (8) Maintain program intensity, and ( 9) Packaged like a game (game). High children's interest in competing to do good with their friends. The supporting factor for the program is support from the school principal, student guardians, and other teachers. The inhibiting factor is miscommunication that occurs because of the slow response between teachers and parents.

Abstract

This paper seeks to present an interpretation with a theological and hermeneutical approach to Islamic studies for children. Where Islamic studies are now no longer confined to the area of jurisprudence, kalam, Sufism and philosophy, but also began to come into contact with various perspectives and methodologies in various scientific fields such as social sciences and approach sciences, such as the hermeneutic and theological approach which is one scientific approach methodology born from the western world. With different characteristics and history, there will be differences, pros and cons of the results of these two approaches. Islamic studies of children are now also a very interesting concern. Because in the current era of globalization there is a need for studies of children, especially religious studies (Islam). Where religion becomes the basic control and education for children. Religious education plays an important role in forming good character and personality for children. Seeing from Islamic studies will be examined according to the hermeneutic approach and theological approach, so that new ideas will emerge that remain in control, namely religion. The method in this study is literature review, where information and data are collected from various sources such as books and journals. The result of the discussion is that the hermeneutic and theological approach to Islamic studies in children is an effort to understand texts, writers, and readers. These three elements form hermeneutical meaning networks. The hermeneutic reading model seeks to find the objective meaning of the text. Objectivity is not interpreted as positivism, which states that what we understand is a mirror of actual reality. Hermeneutics as a science becomes a method or way to interpret symbols in the form of text or something needed as text to find meaning and meaning, where this hermeneutic method requires the ability to interpret the past that is not experienced, then brought to the present. While the theological approach understands religion which emphasizes the formal form of religious symbols, claims to be the most true religion, others are wrong so that the views of others are false, infidel, heretical, and apostate. The normative theological approach in understanding religion literally can be interpreted as an effort to understand religion by using a framework of divinity which departs from a belief that the empirical form of religion is regarded as the most correct compared to the others.

Abstract

Early childhood (0-6 years) is in the golden age stage and experiences very rapid brain development. Early childhood education is useful as a forum that can develop all aspects of child development. In early childhood learning, learning strategies are needed that can increase the potential of children's intelligence. The brain is a very important organ for humans that functions as a nerve center, controlling all actions, thinking, processing information, analyzing and storing memories. Children's brain development reaches 80% at the age of 0-8 years, so it is called the golden ages. Therefore, the provision of educational stimuli, skills, moral and religious guidance is very appropriate to be given at this age. Brain-based learning, based on the Triune theory (activates the 3 parts of the brain), optimizes children's cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities and empowerment. In addition, with learning designs and a conducive environment, children can learn easily in a fun way without coercion or pressure from outsiders. Brain Based Learning is oriented towards the potential of the child's brain so that learning leads to active learning. Based on the principles of Brain Based Learning, learning can be applied in PAUD using constructivist learning models, quantum teaching, multiple intelligence, problem-based learning and cooperative learning.
