Abstract

Generative AI has become increasingly embedded in second language use in Indonesia, yet its impact on learners’ communicative experience remains underexplored. Previous research has focused on performance gains and affective benefits, but little is known about how AI-assisted language production shapes a learner’s sense of authenticity. This study examined whether Self-generated and AI-assisted English production differ in their effects on perceived communicative confidence and authenticity among Indonesian EFL learners. A within-subjects survey design was employed with 271 undergraduate students, which evaluated AI-assisted and self-generates English use across learners’ typical English communicative practices. Paired-samples analysis found no significant difference in perceived confidence between AI-assisted and self-generated production. however, perceived authenticity was significantly lower in AI-assisted production, indicating a divergence between identity expression and functional performance. Additionally, correlation analysis revealed confidence and authenticity remained positively related across both conditions. The findings suggest that AI supports communicative performance, but simultaneously disrupts learners’ sense of authorship. This study contributes to human-machine communication by conceptualizing AI as a co-authoring agent that redistributes communicative agency, and highlights the need for pedagogical approaches that fosters identity-safe AI use and spaces in second language environments

Abstract

This research aims to explore and analyze the relationship between neuroscience and creative processes in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the neural mechanisms underlying human creativity. The method used was qualitative research with a descriptive approach through literature studies, with data collection techniques in the form of searching scientific literature from journal articles, academic books, and other credible sources, and analyzed using the stages of theme identification, data reduction, concept categorization, and inductive conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that creativity is a multidimensional neurocognitive process that involves dynamic interactions between various brain networks, especially the default mode network, executive control network, and salience network, which plays a role in the generation, evaluation, and implementation of ideas. In addition, creativity is also influenced by cognitive factors such as memory and thinking flexibility, as well as emotional and motivational factors such as mind wandering and flow conditions. These findings confirm that creativity is not singular or static, but rather the result of complex integrations between various neural systems and individual experiences. The implications of this research make an important contribution to the development of the theory of neuroscience of creativity and its application in the field of education and human resource development. Thus, this research strengthens the understanding that creativity can be studied scientifically and potentially developed through a neuroscience-based approach.

Abstract

The Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) has economic value, it is not uncommon for a conflict between intersecting countries such as between Indonesia and Malaysia over the islands of Sipadan and the island of Ligitan. Between Indonesia and Vietnam, there is a territorial dispute in the waters around the Natuna Islands. In the occurrence of conflicts in the EEZ boundary area, the Government must better anticipate the occurrence of disputes by making efforts to strengthen the position of state sovereignty and law enforcement in the EEZ. Problem Formulation: 1. How is the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia as an archipelagic country in managing and utilizing the Exclusive Economic Zone? 2. Can the law enforcement carried out by the Indonesian government to be able to guarantee the natural resources contained in the Exclusive Economic Zone Area can meet the survival of the nation? Using normative legal research. Indonesian state sovereignty in the international system is the recognition of another country over the country's border areas in the EEZ and has the sovereign right to explore, exploit, conserve and manage natural resources both biological and non-biological and waters above the seabed and land below, as affirmed in Article 56 paragraph (1) of the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea. The State of Indonesia may take action in the form of boarding a ship, inspecting, arresting and conducting judicial proceedings based on Article 73 paragraph (1) of the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea and may carry out an act  of instant pursuit (hot pursuit) against a foreign ship if the authorities have sufficient reason to suspect that the ship violates the laws of the State of Indonesia, as stipulated in Article 111 of the 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Abstract

This study addresses the growing need for reliable thermal monitoring systems in industrial milling machines, particularly for spindle motors and bearings that are highly vulnerable to overheating during continuous machining operations. Excessive temperature can reduce component lifespan, increase maintenance costs, and cause unexpected production downtime. Therefore, this research aims to design and evaluate a PLC-SCADA-based temperature monitoring system capable of providing real-time monitoring, automatic alarm response, and historical data logging for milling machine operation. The research employed an experimental engineering approach using a Siemens S7-1200 PLC integrated with PT100 RTD temperature sensors, Modbus TCP/IP communication, and SIMATIC WinCC Flexible SCADA software. Four PT100 sensors were installed on the spindle motor and bearing housings to acquire thermal data continuously during idle, medium-load, and full-load machining conditions. The results demonstrated that the system successfully monitored temperature in real time with a SCADA update latency below 200 ms and communication latency averaging 3.6 ms. The maximum spindle motor temperature reached 98.4°C during full-load operation, while the implemented warning and automatic cooling system successfully prevented critical overheating conditions. Temperature measurement accuracy achieved a mean absolute error of 0.41°C compared with the reference instrument. In conclusion, the proposed PLC-SCADA monitoring system effectively improves machine reliability, operational safety, and predictive maintenance capability in industrial milling machine applications.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Human Capital Efficiency (HCE), Return on Assets (ROA), Earnings per Share (EPS), and Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) on Market Value Added (MVA) in companies listed in the IDX30 index for the period 2020–2024. The phenomenon of negative MVA among large-capitalization companies underscores the importance of integrating financial and non-financial (human capital) performance indicators in corporate valuation. This research employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample was selected using purposive sampling from IDX30 companies that consistently published financial statements throughout the observation period. The results indicate that Return on Assets (ROA) has a positive and significant effect on MVA. Conversely, Human Capital Efficiency (HCE) and Earnings per Share (EPS) have a negative and significant effect on MVA, while Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) shows no significant influence. These findings suggest that Indonesian capital market investors respond more favorably to profitability based on operational asset management (ROA) rather than human capital efficiency or the magnitude of earnings per share. The negative results for HCE and EPS signal that high human capital efficiency or earnings per share, if not accompanied by revenue growth, may be perceived negatively by the market. This study implies that management should prioritize operational asset optimization and long-term human capital investment rather than merely pursuing cost efficiency ratios.

Abstract

Centrifugal pumps in cooling water systems play an important role in maintaining operational stability in the pulp and paper industry. However, vibration often affects these pumps due to hydraulic and mechanical irregularities. This research identifies vibration characteristics in a centrifugal pump using FFT based spectrum analysis. This technique converts time-domain signals into frequency components. The analysis is complemented by suction pressure evaluation to better describe operating conditions. Vibration measurements were carried out using an SKF Vibrometer at six points on the Drive End (DE) and Non-Drive End (NDE) in horizontal, vertical, and axial directions. The results show abnormal conditions at all locations. Vibration velocity reached 10.73 mm/s, which exceeds the ISO 10816 alert (2.80 mm/s) and danger (4.50 mm/s) limits. The suction pressure was recorded at ?0.3 bar, indicating a significant inlet pressure drop. The FFT spectrum reveals a dominant 1× RPM component. This is typically associated with rotor unbalance. The spectrum also shows indications of misalignment or looseness from multi-directional vibration. In addition, broadband energy in the mid- to high-frequency range and a clear spectral "hump" indicate unstable, non-periodic excitation. Mechanical faults may contribute, but several findings stand out. The combination of broadband energy, spectral hump, and low suction pressure strongly suggests cavitation as the dominant fault mechanism. Cavitation occurs when vapor bubbles form and collapse due to insufficient inlet pressure. This process generates a wideband vibration. Integrating FFT-based vibration analysis with pressure data improves fault identification accuracy. This approach provides a reliable framework for centrifugal pump condition monitoring.

Abstract

Urban green space development in rapidly urbanizing cities often creates conflicts between governments, private actors, and local communities due to differences in interests, spatial values, and power relations. In Indonesia, particularly in DKI Jakarta, green space production is frequently implemented through technocratic and development-oriented approaches that overlook the lived experiences and socio-economic dependence of communities on urban space. Therefore, this study aims to identify the different meanings of space constructed by actors involved in green space conflicts and to analyze the conflict resolution approaches applied in these disputes. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method using secondary data and a literature review. Articles related to green space conflicts in DKI Jakarta published between 2020 and 2025 were collected from Google Scholar and analyzed through coding, categorization, and interpretive analysis. The findings reveal that governments and developers tend to produce space as conceived space, characterized by legalistic, technocratic, and economically oriented perspectives, whereas communities experience space as lived space, connected to social identity, livelihood, and collective memory. Existing conflict resolution efforts remain administrative, reactive, and top-down such as relocation, outreach, and mediation and thus fail to address unequal power relations and conflicting spatial meanings. This study concludes that sustainable conflict resolution in green space production requires participatory planning, values-based dialogue, and transformation of power relations to create socially just and inclusive urban development.

Abstract

Low taxpayer compliance is still the main challenge in optimizing regional tax revenues, so it is necessary to innovate tax services that are easier, more efficient, and more transparent. The implementation of the online tax system is expected to encourage increased compliance of regional taxpayers through easy access and acceleration of the administrative process. This research aims to analyze the impact of the implementation of an online tax system on local taxpayer compliance in Pringsewu Regency. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach through literature review and secondary data analysis supported by questionnaire results in the thesis as the primary source. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature review and document analysis, while data analysis was performed descriptively by interpreting empirical findings and relating them to relevant theories. The research results indicate that the implementation of the online tax system received a very good rating with an average of 4.30, reflecting the system’s ease of use, security, and efficiency, while the level of taxpayer compliance fell into the fairly good category with an average of 3.52 or 70.41%, with strengths in payment compliance and weaknesses in voluntary reporting. These findings indicate that the online tax system contributes positively to increased compliance but has not yet fully encouraged voluntary compliance. This study concludes that the optimization of the online tax system must be accompanied by improved education and service quality to enhance taxpayer compliance sustainably.
