Abstract

Digital literacy and learning outcomes are essential competencies in supporting students’ understanding and adaptation to technology-based learning environments. However, students still experience difficulties in developing digital literacy skills and achieving optimal learning outcomes in science learning. Therefore, innovative learning media integrating technology and contextual learning are needed to address these challenges. This study aimed to determine the level, improvement, and significance of digital literacy skills and learning outcomes of Grade VII students at UPT SPF SMP Negeri 33 Makassar after implementing Tana Toraja local wisdom-based e-modules on the topic of classification of living things. This study employed a pre-experimental design using One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The population consisted of 288 students from nine classes, while 28 students from Class VII.A were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a 20-item digital literacy questionnaire and a 20-item learning outcomes test and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings showed moderate improvement in digital literacy skills (N-Gain = 0.40) and learning outcomes (N-Gain = 0.48). Furthermore, the t-test results indicated a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), demonstrating significant improvement in both variables. These findings suggest that Tana Toraja local wisdom-based e-modules effectively improve students’ digital literacy and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of work-life balance and salary on job hopping intention among Generation Z employees in the food and beverage (F&B) sector in Surabaya. A quantitative approach was employed using purposive sampling, involving 72 Generation Z employees working in the F&B sector in Surabaya. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that work-life balance has a significant negative effect on job hopping intention (β = -0.575, p < 0.001), indicating that employees who experience a better balance between work and personal life are less likely to intend to leave their jobs. Likewise, salary has a significant negative effect on job hopping intention (β = -0.383, p < 0.001), suggesting that fair and adequate compensation reduces employees' intention to seek employment elsewhere. These findings highlight the importance of promoting work-life balance and implementing fair compensation practices as strategic human resource management initiatives to strengthen employee retention and reduce job hopping intention among Generation Z employees in the rapidly growing F&B industry.

Abstract

This study aims to examine AI-driven viral marketing strategy by explaining the role of micro-influencers, short-form video, and electronic word of mouth in shaping consumer purchase intention. The study uses a qualitative literature study approach by reviewing, classifying, and synthesizing relevant scholarly works on artificial intelligence in marketing, viral marketing, influencer credibility, short-form video engagement, e-WOM, and consumer behavior. The results indicate that AI-driven viral marketing is not merely a technology-based promotional tool, but an integrated strategic system that combines algorithmic personalization, social credibility, visual engagement, and peer-to-peer communication. Artificial intelligence strengthens marketing effectiveness through personalized targeting, predictive analysis, and content optimization. Micro-influencers enhance consumer trust through perceived authenticity, expertise, and relational closeness. Short-form video increases attention, emotional response, and content shareability, while electronic word of mouth provides social validation, reduces perceived risk, and strengthens purchase intention. The main finding of this study is that consumer purchase intention is shaped by the interaction between technological relevance and social trust. Therefore, effective viral marketing requires a balance between AI-based automation and human-centered communication. This study contributes theoretically by integrating AI marketing, influencer marketing, short-form video, and e-WOM into one conceptual framework, and managerially by offering strategic insights for designing credible and engaging digital marketing campaigns.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of occupational safety and job satisfaction on the performance of inDrive drivers in Surabaya City. The rapid development of the online transportation industry has created challenges in managing driver performance, particularly due to time pressure from the inDrive application’s timer feature and dissatisfaction with the platform’s operational procedures, including the 13.31% commission deduction policy. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 90 active inDrive drivers in Surabaya City. The sample size was deemed sufficient for Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), which was employed to examine the relationships among the study variables using SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that occupational safety and job satisfaction both have a positive and significant influence on driver performance, with the model explaining 65.2% of the variance in driver performance (R² = 0.652). These results highlight that maintaining safe working conditions and ensuring satisfaction with the platform’s operational system are essential for improving driver performance, particularly in providing timely and reliable services to customers.

Abstract

Housing development in peri-urban areas has accelerated land-use change and reshaped the livelihoods of agrarian communities in Indonesia. This article aims to examine how housing development influences livelihood transformation in Moncongloe Village, Maros Regency, through a qualitative review of relevant theories and literature. The study employs a qualitative review approach based on literature analysis and conceptual synthesis, integrating perspectives from social change theory, development sociology, structural transformation, urbanization, and agrarian political economy. The review identifies three major findings. First, the conversion of agricultural land into residential areas reduces farming-based livelihoods and accelerates occupational shifts toward informal trade and service sectors. Second, although rising land values create short-term economic opportunities, they also increase long-term livelihood vulnerability for households with limited skills and adaptive capacity. Third, housing development reshapes social relations by weakening traditional agrarian solidarity, transforming local value systems, and creating unequal access to economic resources. These findings indicate that livelihood transformation in peri-urban areas extends beyond economic restructuring to encompass broader social and cultural changes. This study highlights the importance of integrating local capacity building into peri-urban development policies. Sustainable housing development should therefore balance physical expansion with strategies that strengthen community resilience, promote inclusive economic opportunities, and minimize the risk of structural marginalization among local residents.

Abstract

Dynamic Capability Theory has undergone substantial conceptual development since its emergence in the 1990s, evolving from a process-oriented explanation of organizational adaptation into a multidimensional framework encompassing managerial, cognitive, social, relational, and systems-level mechanisms. This study examines the evolution of Dynamic Capability Theory and conceptualizes its contemporary development as Dynamic Capability Theory 4.0. Using a conceptual literature review and comparative synthesis of 101 studies on dynamic capabilities, the analysis traces the theoretical development across four evolutionary stages, from organizational routines and path-dependent processes to explicit microfoundations, managerial agency, social interaction, and multilevel systems integration. The findings demonstrate that the evolution of the theory is characterized by a progressive shift from implicit organizational routines toward the integration of sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring mechanisms with managerial cognition, entrepreneurial leadership, organizational design, interpersonal interaction, collective construction, and relational dynamics. Dynamic Capability Theory 4.0 therefore positions dynamic capabilities not merely as organizational routines or isolated managerial actions, but as capabilities emerging from interactions among individuals, managers, organizational structures, relational networks, and environmental conditions. This perspective also reconciles path dependence with managerial agency and emphasizes flexible, decentralized, and adaptive organizational systems. The study contributes to the dynamic capability literature by providing an integrative evolutionary perspective that connects previously fragmented theoretical streams. Nevertheless, the theory remains conceptually evolving, requiring further empirical validation, clearer construct boundaries, and stronger multilevel operationalization across different organizational and environmental contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the urgency of Sharia-based financial management in promoting investment in the halal product industry and to identify the challenges and strategic implications for strengthening the halal ecosystem in Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative approach using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Data were collected from scholarly articles indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, Dimensions, Garuda, and Crossref, published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that Sharia-based financial management plays a significant role in enhancing investor confidence, expanding access to financing, reducing investment risks, and supporting the sustainability of the halal industry. Nevertheless, its implementation faces several challenges, including low levels of Islamic financial literacy, limited access to financing, inadequate integration of the halal ecosystem, and a lack of Sharia-compliant investment instruments that support the halal industry. This study confirms that Sharia-based financial management serves as a strategic foundation for sustainable investment development in the halal industry. The findings contribute theoretically to the advancement of Islamic economics and provide practical implications for policymakers, Islamic financial institutions, and halal industry stakeholders in strengthening the competitiveness of the national halal economy

Abstract

This study examines how Islamic religious education contributes to the formation of student character in the digital era and identifies the strategies teachers use to address the character-related problems that emerge in this context. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through classroom observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, and documentation, at MTs Al-Khairat, Ternate City. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, with credibility strengthened through source and method triangulation. The results show that students face several character-related problems, including low confidence in public speaking, limited interest in religious learning, and overdependence on digital technology and artificial intelligence tools that weakens critical thinking and academic honesty. Teachers respond to these problems mainly through personal approaches, exemplary conduct, and habituation of religious practice, which observational data associate with improvements in student discipline, religious engagement, and manners. The findings suggest that Islamic religious education functions most effectively as a character-formation vehicle when exemplary teaching is combined with consistent habituation and collaboration between school, family, and community.
