Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors causing reduced seawater pump pressure on board KM Amukti Palapa, examine the impacts of pressure reduction on pump performance, and propose appropriate maintenance measures to ensure normal operation. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using data collected through direct observation, interviews with engine officers and technical personnel, documentation review, and relevant literature studies. The findings indicate that reduced seawater pump pressure is primarily caused by discharge valve leakage, blockages in the discharge line, pump overloading, impeller damage, and human error. These conditions may result in unstable pump loading, cavitation, inefficient energy consumption, damage to seals, bearings, piping systems, and increased maintenance costs. The study further highlights the importance of implementing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, including routine inspections, component replacement, cleaning procedures, performance monitoring, crew training, and proper documentation. Effective maintenance management and continuous monitoring can significantly improve pump reliability, reduce operational disruptions, and extend the service life of seawater pump systems on board vessels.

Abstract

Customer loyalty has become a strategic priority for pharmacy service providers due to increasing competition and rising customer expectations for socially responsible healthcare services. While Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been widely recognized as an important strategy for enhancing organizational performance, the mechanisms through which CSR fosters customer loyalty in pharmacy services remain insufficiently explored. This study aims to develop a conceptual framework explaining the role of CSR in enhancing pharmacy customer loyalty through the mediating roles of brand awareness and brand trust. Drawing upon Stakeholder Theory and Relationship Marketing Theory, this paper synthesizes relevant literature on CSR, branding, trust, and customer loyalty within healthcare and service contexts. The proposed framework suggests that CSR initiatives, including community health programs, health education, medication counseling, and preventive healthcare campaigns, strengthen customer loyalty by increasing brand awareness and reinforcing brand trust. This study contributes to the marketing and healthcare literature by integrating these constructs into a comprehensive conceptual model specifically tailored to pharmacy services. The framework also provides practical insights for pharmacy managers seeking to improve long-term customer relationships through socially responsible business practices and offers directions for future empirical research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of accounting digitalization and e-commerce on increasing the income of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Palopo City. This research is motivated by the still low implementation of digital-based financial management and limited marketing reach that affect the increase in MSME income. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of 107 MSMEs selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 22, after first conducting instrument validity and reliability tests. The results of the study indicate that accounting digitalization and e-commerce, both partially and simultaneously, have a positive and significant effect on increasing the income of MSME entrepreneurs in Palopo City. The e-commerce variable has a more dominant influence than accounting digitalization, while the research model is able to explain 69.8% of the variation in MSME income increase, with the remainder influenced by other factors outside the research model. The research findings indicate that the implementation of accounting digitalization and e-commerce is an effective strategy in improving financial management efficiency, expanding market reach, and increasing income and sustainability of MSME businesses in the digital era.

Abstract

Despite reaching more than 724,000 followers, the official TikTok account of SKIN1004 Indonesia (@skin1004_indonesia) shows a persistent gap between video views and audience interaction, with some uploads generating engagement rates below 0.1 percent. This gap raises the empirical question of whether digital communication content quality explains the low level of follower engagement, a relationship that remains underexamined for South Korean skincare brands operating in the Indonesian TikTok market. This study aims to examine the influence of SKIN1004's digital communication content quality on brand engagement among the followers of its TikTok account. A quantitative explanatory survey method was employed, with a sample of 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling and the Slovin formula (10 percent margin of error) from a population of 724,668 followers. Content quality was measured across five dimensions (relevance, originality, interaction, consistency, and emotionality), while brand engagement was measured across three dimensions (cognitive, emotional, and behavioral). Simple linear regression showed that content quality significantly and positively predicted brand engagement (Y = 5.421 + 0.517X; t = 15.720 > t-table 1.984; p < .001), with a very strong correlation (r = 0.846) and 71.6 percent explained variance (R² = 0.716). Originality emerged as the weakest content dimension, while behavioral engagement was the weakest engagement dimension, pointing to specific, actionable priorities for skincare brands seeking to convert passive viewership into deeper follower engagement on TikTok.

Abstract

The development of social commerce in Indonesia, particularly the TikTok Shop platform, has transformed how fashion businesses market their products through live streaming features (pp. 1, 14). This study aims to analyze the effect of live streaming on purchasing decisions, both directly and indirectly through purchase intention as a mediating variable for fashion products on TikTok Shop (pp. 1, 20). The research method used is a quantitative approach with descriptive and verification methods (p. 7). Data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to TikTok Shop users in Indonesia (pp. 7, 11). The data analysis technique employed in this study is Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test the structural relationships between variables (p. 7). Descriptive analysis results are used to determine the general overview of live streaming, purchase intention, and purchasing decision variables (pp. 7, 20). Through outer model and inner model analysis, this study evaluates validity, reliability, and both direct and indirect effects between variables (pp. 8-9). The hypothesis testing results are expected to prove the significant contribution of live streaming in stimulating consumer purchase intention, which ultimately drives the actual action of making a purchasing decision for fashion products (pp. 8, 19). This study provides practical contributions for TikTok Shop sellers in designing more effective interactive digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Vehicle interior cleanliness affects travel comfort, particularly when a car is used by families or multiple passengers. This study developed and tested an ergonomic car trash-bin prototype using Design Thinking and Quality Function Deployment through the House of Quality (HoQ). The study used archived product-development evidence, including aggregate questionnaire charts, an empathy map, existing-product observations, brainstorming records, HoQ, hand sketches, fabrication videos, static-fit photographs, and prototype-testing documentation. Because respondent-level questionnaire data were not retained, the analysis was descriptive and did not use inferential statistics. Three user needs were prioritised: easy reach, no interference with passenger movement, and prevention of waste scattering. The documented initial under-seat concept measured 440 x 450 x 200 mm and did not fit the selected vehicle space. After cardboard trials at the highest and lowest seat positions, the revised under-seat design measured 280 x 250 x 100 mm and achieved documented static fit. An initial door-trim trial was blocked by the cavity geometry; a custom door-pocket configuration of 160 x 65 x 130 mm was subsequently documented in static placement. The 2 mm black-acrylic prototype was assessed only for basic fit and intended use. The findings support vehicle-specific product development and identify the need for dynamic driving, usability, and cost-validation tests. For automotive-accessory designers and small manufacturers, this record offers a practical, replicable reference for translating cabin-cleanliness complaints into a vehicle-specific prototype before committing to tooling and mass production.

Abstract

Limited access to formal financing remains a major constraint on the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly in regional areas. Through the People's Business Credit (KUR) program, the government seeks to address this constraint by providing accessible, low-interest financing. However, the effectiveness of KUR in promoting MSME development at the local level still requires empirical verification. Therefore, this study explicitly addresses the following research question: Does the People's Business Credit (KUR) distributed by Bank Sulselbar have a significant effect on MSME development in Masamba District? Based on this question, the research hypothesis states that KUR has a positive and significant effect on MSME development. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey of MSME owners who had received KUR in Masamba District. The data were analyzed using simple linear regression to examine the relationship between People's Business Credit and MSME development, as measured by revenue growth, increased assets, and employment creation. By formulating a clear research question and hypothesis, this study is expected to provide a strong empirical basis for assessing the role of KUR as an inclusive financing instrument for MSME development at the local level.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Total Quality Management (TQM) practices on operational performance at PT So Good Food. The study employed a quantitative survey design involving 30 employees selected through purposive sampling. The respondents were employees who had worked at the company for at least one year and were considered to have sufficient experience and understanding of the company’s quality-management practices and operational processes. TQM was represented by customer satisfaction, employee empowerment, continuous quality improvement, and fact-based management, while operational performance served as the dependent variable. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, partial t-tests, and a simultaneous F-test. The findings indicate that the TQM dimensions simultaneously have a significant effect on operational performance. Partially, employee empowerment, continuous quality improvement, and fact-based management have positive and significant effects on operational performance, whereas customer satisfaction does not have a significant partial effect. These findings suggest that internal quality-management practices, particularly employee involvement, continuous process improvement, and data-based decision-making, play an important role in supporting operational effectiveness. The study is limited to a small sample from a single organization; therefore, the findings should be interpreted and generalized cautiously.

Abstract

Internal control has become increasingly important as organizations integrate governance, enterprise risk management, and digital transformation into organizational decision making. The COSO Integrated Framework establishes internal control as the foundation of governance and risk management, while digital transformation has fundamentally reshaped organizational processes and control systems (COSO, 2013 ; Vial, 2019). This study maps the global development of internal control research using a bibliometric approach based on Scopus-indexed publications from 2022 to 2025. Data were analyzed using Biblioshiny after a systematic screening process that resulted in 934 eligible articles in the Business, Management and Accounting subject area. The analysis examined publication growth, influential authors, source journals, country collaboration, citation performance, and keyword evolution. The findings reveal a substantial increase in global research productivity during the study period, accompanied by stronger international collaboration and the emergence of new thematic areas. China emerged as the leading contributor to global internal control research, while corporate governance, digital transformation, risk management, audit quality, environmental, social and governance (ESG), and artificial intelligence emerged as the dominant research themes. The bibliometric evidence further demonstrates a clear shift from conventional internal control systems toward digitally enabled governance and intelligent control mechanisms. This study contributes by providing a comprehensive knowledge map of recent internal control research, identifying emerging research directions, and offering practical references for researchers interested in governance, auditing, and organizational control systems.
