Abstract

The study adopted a quasi-experimental research design. The population of the study was 942 Senior Secondary public-school II students in Kaura, Kaduna State. 187 Economics students were sampled from the population. Two research questions and hypotheses guided the study. Data was collected using a Multiple-Choice economic Achievement Test. The instrument was subjected to face and content validation by three experts. The instrument was trial tested on SSS II students in Government Secondary School Kagoro, Kaduna State. The reliability was determined using the Kuder Richardson (K-R20) formula to establish the internal consistency of the instrument, which yielded a reliability index of 0.85. The collected data were analyzed using the mean and standard deviation to answer the research questions, while the Analysis of Covariance was used to test the hypotheses. The study revealed that using an internet-based instructional strategy has increasing positive effects on students' academic achievement in Economics and that gender is not a significant factor in students' academic achievement in Economics. The study recommends, amongst other things, that Economics teachers should use internet-based instructional strategies in teaching Economics and that teachers and students should be counseled on the need to embrace the internet-based instructional approach.

A contextual learning methodology can assist students in integrating Islamic moderation values, which is one of the learning objectives of Islamic education. Using a qualitative methodology, this inquiry was conducted. Researchers should be able to understand, observe, and perform studies regarding in-depth Islamic moderation learning through contextual model learning more correctly with the use of a qualitative technique. The study's findings suggest that: 1) Implementing Islamic education can improve students' cognitive comprehension of Islamic moderation principles. 2) Implementing Islamic education can improve students' affective features to understand moderation in Islam by using contextual learning methods. 3) By using contextual learning techniques in Islamic education, students can absorb moderate Islamic views.

Abstract

This article examines the impact of the implementation of moral aqidah learning outcomes on student discipline. The problem in this paper is: how is the subject of Aqidah Akhlak taught at MTs Daarul Qur'an Pajalele, Tellusiatinge District, Bone Regency? How is the discipline in the class of students at MTs Daarul Qur'an Pajalele, Tellusiatinge District, Bone Regency? And how are the results of moral learning implemented in the formation of discipline in the class of students at MTs Daarul Qur'an Pajalele, Tellusiatinge District, Bone Regency? To answer these problems, researchers conducted qualitative research with educational, psychological, and sociological approaches. The data collection methods are in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out in inductive, deductive, and comparative forms. The results of the research show that the implementation of Aqidah Akhlak learning outcomes in the formation of discipline in the class of students at MTs Daarul Qur'an Pajalele, Tellusiatinge District, Bone Regency, is not significant. Because student discipline in class is still lacking, for example, arriving late, still talking when the teacher explains, and there are still students who are late entering when the bell rings. Meanwhile, one of the objectives of learning Aqidah Akhlak is to form the character of students who are obedient and respectful to teachers.

Abstract

The development of science and technology follows the pace of the development of muamalah activities, especially cash transfer activities via BRILink. The transactions carried out by several BRILink agents gave rise to problems that were outlined in the problem formulation, namely how to determine cash transfer rates for BRILink agents in Pakkanna Village, Tanasitolo District, Wajo Regency, as well as the perspective of Sharia economic law on determining cash transfer rates at BRILink. Therefore, this research aims to determine the mechanism for setting rates and whether the rates set by each agent are under Sharia economic law. This research uses a qualitative research method where data collection is carried out employing observation, visual analysis, and interviews with all BRILink agents in Pakkanna Village, Tanasitolo District, Wajo Regency. Based on the research results, it is known that transactions carried out between BRILink agents and customers use a wage-reward system. The tariff-setting system used by BRILink agents is a system set by the agent himself. According to the research conducted by the author, this wage system contract is legally permissible and valid because it is in line with Sharia economic law.

Abstract

This article evaluates and optimizes the implementation of teaching workshops aimed at improving the competencies of Islamic Education (PAI) lecturers in using digital technology at the Islamic Institute of As'adiyah Sengkang. The study focuses on understanding how workshops can enhance PAI lecturers' digital technology skills and identifying strategies to optimize the workshops for more effective technology adoption. A descriptive qualitative method, including interviews and observations, was used for data collection. The hermeneutic approach provided insights into the lecturers' experiences regarding the workshops and the integration of technology in teaching. Findings indicate that although the workshop materials were relevant, additional practice time and simplified content are necessary to improve lecturers' understanding. While there was a noticeable increase in competencies, technical challenges still exist, requiring continuous support. Optimizing the workshops involves adding more practice sessions, simplifying content, and offering mentorship to build lecturers' confidence in implementing digital technology effectively. This research provides valuable insights for enhancing the development of digital competencies among PAI lecturers.

Abstract

This study explores the role of dakwah-based educational strategies in improving community understanding of agricultural zakat in Belawa District, Wajo Regency. The research aims to identify the existing dakwah-based educational strategies, assess the community’s knowledge of agricultural zakat, and examine the challenges faced in enhancing this understanding. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the study incorporates theological-normative, sociological, and psychological approaches. Data were gathered from primary sources, including religious leaders, government officials, and community leaders, as well as secondary sources through relevant documentation. Instruments such as observation guidelines, interview protocols, and documentation were employed for data collection. The analysis involved data reduction, presentation, verification, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the community's understanding of agricultural zakat remains limited, with many believing that donating an unspecified amount of money after harvest at the mosque constitutes agricultural zakat. The study highlights the importance of dakwah-based educational strategies in improving this understanding, as current socialization efforts by relevant authorities have been inadequate. These findings emphasize the need for a more effective approach in educating the community about agricultural zakat to strengthen religious and social awareness.
