Abstract

Research on the use of simple games as modifications in basketball materials aims to make it easier for students to practice basketball at Mi plus Raudlatul Muta'allimin. The available methods are very limited with the number of students, as many as 35 people in class V, making learning with basketball materials a little difficult. The data collection method used is the questionnaire method. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the results of data analysis shows that there is a decrease in student academic achievement in learning basketball by -6.58%. So it can be said that there is no effect of modified basketball game on student achievement in basketball learning. In addition, the results of hypothesis testing show that the value of Sig = 1.019 ≥ α = 0.05. This means that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, so that there is no effect of the modified basketball game on the academic achievement of the fifth-grade students of MI Plus Raudlatul Muta'allimin. As a suggestion, further research is needed on the effect of modified basketball games on academic achievement in basketball learning.

Abstract

At the SMK level, mastery of English content involves four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students frequently struggle with the four language skills mentioned above when learning English. Up to 75% of students at SMK Maarif NU Doro Vocational School continue to perform below KKM. The author decided to explain the subject of the analysis of the student's abilities to produce personal letter texts since it really caught his or her attention. The goal to be achieved in this research is to improve students' ability to compose a personal letter text. The technique used in this research is to make observations and test student performance in the form of an online written test. The student scores from the evaluation of the written test in the first cycle were 15 students (62.5%) who had reached the KKM. In the assessment of product results in the form of writing a personal letter and then sending it via a Padlet, 23 students (95.8%) met the KKM. At the end of the cycle, on the summative test, as many as 20 (80.2%) students passed the summative test without doing any remedial. As suggested, the implementation of online learning activities using the Padlet link to improve students' ability to write texts in the form of personal letters.

The techniques used are observation technique and test technique. The assessment instrument uses a test sheet and an observation sheet. The results showed that in cycle 1, the average score of 75-80 students can be compared significantly in cycle 2 with an increase in the average score of 80-90. Likewise, cycle 3 shows an increase in value of 90-100. In general, it can be concluded that there is an increase in English learning outcomes for students at SMPN 2 Karawang Barat after learning is carried out through the use of problem-based learning models. Abstract

This study focuses on determining whether or not students at MTs As'adiyah Putra 1 Sengkang's first year can expand their vocabulary through the use of mobile smartphones. The pre-experimental design was used by the researcher. First-year students at MTs As'adiyah Putra 1 Sengkang during the academic year 2020–2021 made up the population of this study. The class of 34 students served as the sample for the purposive sampling technique. The pretest and posttest were used to collect the data. The results of the student's test scores were determined by utilizing SPSS 24 to evaluate the test's data. According to the researcher's findings, the pre-test mean score was bad (49.00), but the post-test mean score was extremely high (79.24), with a standard deviation of 15.47 and 10.95, respectively. Therefore, the researcher came to the conclusion that employing a mobile smartphone was efficient for increasing vocabulary in first-year MTs Putra 1 As'adiyah Sengkang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not using the directed reading thinking activity approach can enhance first-year MTs As'adiyah Putra 2 Sengkang students' reading comprehension of narrative texts. With an experimental class, this study used a pre-experimental design. Pre-test and post-testing were done as part of the data collection process. The first year of MTs As'adiyah Putra 2 Sengkang in the academic year 2020–2021 made up the population of this study. 32 students from the VII B class were used in the purposive sampling strategy to collect the sample. The research used multiple choice, true/false, and matching word questions as its instruments. The outcome of the data analysis revealed a substantial difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of the students. It was demonstrated by the statistical analysis's finding that the post-test score was higher than the pre-test (0.000 < 0.05), which was significant at the level of 0.05. The researcher draws the conclusion that using the directed reading thought activity strategy helps students' reading comprehension of narrative texts based on the analysis's findings.

Abstract

This study examines whether or not interactional feedback has a considerable positive impact on first-year MA Nurul As'adiyah Callacu students' grammatical awareness. The pre-experimental research method was used in the study. 38 grade X A students made up the sample. The research's pre- and post-test grammatical data were collected, and the t-test in SPSS was used to assess it. The study's findings showed a substantial difference between the students' levels of grammatical awareness on the pretest and posttest. The fact that the mean posttest score was greater than the mean pretest score (91.32 > 59.08) served as evidence. These mean scores were different in a statistically significant way. The probability value is lower than the significant level (0.00 < 0.05), which was based on the t-test value at the significant level of 0.05. Based on the result analysis, it can be said that interactional feedback significantly improved grammatical awareness in the first year of MA Nurul As'adiyah Callacu because it promoted learners' intellectual operations and thought processes, which led them to reflect on ideas, particularly in grammar learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether teaching students fables in pairs of students during their second year of MA Nurul As'adiyah Callacu improved their vocabulary achievement. A pre-experimental methodology was used in this study's research in order to meet its goal. The academic year 2020–2021 was when the population was in its second year under MA Nurul As'adiyah Callacu. Purposive sampling was employed to obtain the sample. There were 17 students in the class that was selected from the X-A class with the most samples. According to the data analysis's findings, students' post-test mean scores (52.52) were higher than their pretest mean scores (32.23), and (52.52 – 32.23) was the gain score (20.29). The researcher used t-test statistical analysis for paired samples. The analysis of the data revealed that the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted since the significance of the t value (0.000) was larger than the level of significance (0.05) and the degree of freedom (df) = 16. It can be inferred that using a fable in pair work can help students learn more vocabulary.
