Abstract

Based on reports from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, hepatitis-related mortality remains high, with hepatitis B accounting for 51,000 deaths and hepatitis C for 5,942 deaths. Hepatitis is an inflammatory disease of the liver that, if not treated promptly, can progress to serious complications such as liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. This community service activity was conducted among students at Sabilul Wafaa Islamic Boarding School as a preventive effort to reduce the spread of hepatitis. The activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge of hepatitis. A quasi-experimental Design was employed, involving a total of 26 participants. Knowledge levels were measured using a pretest and posttest questionnaire consisting of 10 items, and data were analyzed using a paired t-test to determine differences in mean scores. Following the educational intervention, a significant improvement in knowledge was observed, as evidenced by a posttest score increase from 4.69 ± 0.84 to 8.42 ± 1.14 (p < 0.001). Overall, the activity was effective in increasing students’ knowledge of hepatitis. This program is expected to encourage the dissemination of preventive information, the adoption of clean and healthy living behaviors, and the integration of continuous hepatitis education to assess knowledge retention and the consistency of participants’ preventive behaviors.

Abstract

Developing creative skills for the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) is one way to open business opportunities and increase household income. The purpose of this activity is to enhance the PKK group’s knowledge and skills and cultivate a desire to establish a Chunky Bag craft business. Community Service was carried out with the PKK group in Tlogomas Village, involving 16 participants. The activity was carried out using the Asset-Based Community Development approach through three main stages: preparation, implementation of the training program, and evaluation. The training was carried out through several sessions: an introduction to basic knitting techniques; an introduction to chunky bags; practice making chunky bags; and managing a small chunky bag business and its sales prospects. The activity was implemented successfully with high participant enthusiasm, exceeding the target by 106.67%. Prior to the training, most participants (68.75%) had no prior knitting experience, while 62.5% reported high familiarity with basic knitting techniques after the training. All participants successfully made chunky bags during the training, were satisfied with the results, and expressed interest in making and selling them, either individually or in groups. Thus, chunky bag craft training has a significant impact on the targets, including increased knowledge, enhanced skills, and a desire to become entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Digital transformation in rural areas drives micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adopt technology-focused marketing. This project enhances MSMEs’ digital marketing expertise in Gamping and Tegaren Villages, Trenggalek Regency, through focused, structured training. The methodology implements a training cycle: needs assessment, strategic planning, content development, delivery, and evaluation. The training covers digital marketing principles, affiliate marketing, and content marketing. Participants gained more substantial knowledge and hands-on skills in utilizing digital platforms for promotion, crafting persuasive content, and launching online business accounts. The evaluation revealed increased digital engagement, high participant motivation, and the formation of a collaborative digital marketing learning group. This project advances digital empowerment among rural MSMEs and exemplifies the innovative economy model in local development. These findings reinforce the need for flexible, context-specific training to support continuous digital transformation.
