Abstract

Minuman fungsional berbahan lokal seperti jamu memiliki potensi besar sebagai produk kesehatan dan peluang bisnis. Namun, pemanfaatannya masih terbatas akibat kurangnya inovasi dan literasi digital. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa SMK Trunojoyo Jember tentang jamu modern sebagai minuman fungsional, memperkenalkan teknologi smart packaging berbasis QR code, dan mengembangkan keterampilan kewirausahaan berbasis teknologi. Kegiatan ini melibatkan sebanyak 98 peserta. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini mencakup sosialisasi interaktif, pelatihan pembuatan QR code, dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Hasil post-test menunjukkan 70% peserta mencapai kategori sangat paham (nilai 90-100); 16,7% paham (80-89); dan 13,3% cukup hingga kurang (< 80) dengan 85% peserta aktif terlibat dalam diskusi. Kegiatan ini berhasil memperkuat literasi kesehatan, keterampilan teknologi, dan minat kewirausahaan berbasis bahan lokal. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan integratif antara pengetahuan tradisional dan teknologi digital efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dengan rekomendasi untuk pendampingan berkelanjutan dan pengembangan kurikulum terpadu.

Abstract

The drive for digital transformation and the need to enhance governance efficiency in religious educational institutions provided the backdrop for this community service program, which implemented artificial intelligence (AI) technology at an Islamic boarding school in Jombang. This program aimed to enhance the management competencies of Islamic boarding schools in Jombang by applying AI technology. The activities included socialization and training sessions on AI-based applications such as facial recognition, attendance systems, and student nutrition management tools. A one-group pretest–posttest design was employed to evaluate management competence before and after the training. The analysis showed a significant increase in participants’ scores from the pretest (23.86 ± 3.34) to the posttest (45.06 ± 1.56), with Z = –6.166 and p < 0.001. This improvement contributed to more efficient student attendance tracking, optimized data-based nutrition management, and motivated participants to integrate technology into pesantren administration. The practical implication of this program is the need for continuous training to expand further the adoption of artificial intelligence in other Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to analyze the level of knowledge and identify strategies for introducing organic farming and natural dye production technologies for ikat weaving among the Dayak community in Ensaid Panjang Village, Sintang, West Kalimantan. The program employed an action research method with a problem-based learning approach. The activities began with a community needs assessment, followed by the delivery of materials and information through lectures, simulations, demonstrations, and training sessions. A total of 52 participants took part in the program. Among them, several informants were selected based on their knowledge and expertise. The key informants included the head of Ensaid Panjang Village, the Betang customary elders, and representatives from the Ensaid Panjang community. The results showed that three leading indicators demonstrated significant improvement in participants’ understanding. These included enhanced community skills in producing natural dyes from local plants for ikat weaving, the ability to process organic fertilizers from household waste, garbage, and animal manure, as well as the strengthening of institutional roles that support the production and marketing of woven fabrics. The substantial increase in understanding indicated that this program successfully improved participants’ knowledge and skills. Overall, the average increase in community understanding and achievement was 11%, with a notable 51% increase in knowledge of composting specifically.

Abstract

Digital marketing has become a preferred strategy for business owners to promote their products and services. In practice, however, they face a significant challenge—the need for creativity and the ability to craft effective messages when using social media marketing platforms. At the same time, business owners come from diverse educational and skill backgrounds. This community service program was conducted by a facilitator team targeting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Kapanewon (District), Kalasan—the program aimed to enhance participants’ capabilities to remain competitive in the digital marketing era. Assistance was provided through training on how to compose communication messages using digital copywriting formulas. The methods used included lectures and group-based practice sessions. The results showed that participants were able to develop promotional messages using three formula approaches and effectively deliver these messages verbally before an audience, consistent with the written narrative style they had created. This activity successfully improved participants’ knowledge and skills in product promotion.

Abstract

The habit of consuming snacks among elementary school students can pose serious health risks due to the use of hazardous food additives such as borax, formalin, saccharin, and Rhodamine B. The lack of students’ understanding regarding the dangers of these substances prompted the implementation of an educational program at Al-Azhar 11 Islamic Elementary School in Surabaya on October 26, 2024. The educational session was delivered through a lecture combined with comic-based media and attended by 110 students from grades 3 to 6. To evaluate the program’s effectiveness, students were given pre-tests and post-tests. The analysis showed an increase in students’ understanding from 39.72% to 60.27%, indicating that the applied educational method was effective. Despite the limited duration, students’ enthusiasm and the school’s support contributed to the smooth execution of the activity. This initiative highlights the importance of early education in food safety as a preventive measure to promote healthier eating habits and reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses associated with unsafe snacks in school environments.

Abstract

Hyperthyroidism is one of the endocrine health problems whose prevalence tends to increase in various countries, including Indonesia. Hyperthyroidism is characterized by an increase in thyroid hormones in the body that can cause metabolic, cardiovascular, and emotional and cognitive disorders. In Islamic boarding schools, this issue often goes unnoticed due to the lack of access to health information and low awareness of hyperthyroid symptoms and effects. This condition increases the risk of delayed diagnosis and treatment. Therefore, a promotive and preventive approach through health counseling is one of the effective strategies to increase students’ understanding of this disease. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of health counseling on increasing students’ knowledge and attitudes about hyperthyroidism at Darul Inayah Islamic Boarding School. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest approach. A total of 40 students aged 15–18 years. Counseling was conducted using visual media and interactive lecture methods. The results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and attitude scores of students after counseling. This finding suggests that health counselling can serve as an effective educational intervention to improve health literacy among adolescents in pesantren settings.

Abstract

Gabungan Kelompok Tani Bantur Berkah Mandiri (BBM) merupakan mitra komunitas petani yang ingin mengembangkan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) sebagai bahan pengembangan tanaman organik di Desa Bantur dan sekitarnya. Teknologi pengembangan POC ini adalah penerapan teknik mikrobiologi menggunakan biodekomposer PGPR (Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria) yang memanfaatkan bonggol pisang, limbah ternak, sisa sayuran yang tersedia sebagai bahan pupuk organik cair terutama dalam optimasi formulasi POC dan standarisasinya. Program pendampingan Poltekkes Putra Indonesia Malang ini bertujuan melakukan edukasi dan pendampingan mitra dalam standarisasi dan optimasi formulasi POC. Urgensinya untuk meningkatkan level keberdayaan mitra dari aspek produksi dan manajemen. Metode pendekatannya menggunakan metode ABCD (Asset Based Community Development), yaitu dengan cara membantu mitra untuk mengembangkan potensi yang sudah ada dengan target memberikan hasil peningkatan produksi dan pendapatan serta bertambahnya kebutuhan tenaga kerja di wilayah sekitar. Tahapan yang sistematis ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan produk POC yang lebih efektif, bernilai jual tinggi, dan mendukung pertanian dan ketahanan pangan disekitarnya. Permasalahan yang dihadapi Mitra pada aspek produksi, manajemen dan pemasaran dalam optimasi dan standarisasi POC ini akan meningkatkan kualitas pertanian dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani serta keberlanjutan lingkungan. Target luaran, pada aspek produksi dapat memahami optimasi dan standarisasi pupuk organik, sedangkan aspek manajemen dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mitra  yang merupakan kelompok masyarakat produktif dalam pengolahan pupuk organik cair, dan aspek pemasaran dapat memasarkan produk pupuk organik atau bahkan sebagai unit usaha yang bekerjasama dengan Pemerintah setempat dan instansi terkait untuk memasok pengadaan pupuk organik cair dalam produksi pangan sehat yang mendukung Ketahanan Pangan Nasional.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi membuka peluang besar bagi pengembangan pembelajaran matematika berbasis digital di Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Kota Batu, meskipun masih terdapat kesenjangan keterampilan teknologi di kalangan guru dan resistensi terhadap perubahan metode. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, Tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) 2025 Departemen Matematika Universitas Brawijaya, yang terdiri atas lima dosen dan lima mahasiswa, menyelenggarakan pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) DeepSeek dan aplikasi Canva sebagai media pembelajaran. Kegiatan berlangsung pada Jumat, 1 Agustus 2025 di MAN Batu dengan peserta 18 guru matematika MA dan MTs. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi koordinasi, penyebaran kuesioner, penyampaian materi, praktik pembuatan bahan ajar digital, diskusi interaktif, pendampingan kelompok, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru, yaitu sebesar 8,66% pada penggunaan DeepSeek dan 14,7% pada Canva. Analisis statistik dengan paired t-test menegaskan bahwa peningkatan tersebut signifikan pada kedua materi, sehingga pelatihan terbukti efektif. Selain itu, suasana pelatihan yang aktif dan partisipatif mendorong motivasi guru untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Monitoring dan evaluasi mengindikasikan bahwa program ini tidak hanya memperluas literasi digital, tetapi juga memperkuat kemampuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran matematika yang inovatif, interaktif, dan berbasis teknologi digital. Disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan ini efektif meningkatkan kompetensi guru, meskipun diperlukan program lanjutan dengan durasi lebih panjang dan pendampingan berkelanjutan agar manfaatnya lebih optimal serta dapat diimplementasikan secara konsisten dalam praktik pembelajaran.
