Abstract

Sub-district leadership plays a crucial role in improving employee performance to improve the quality of public services at the sub-district level. This study aims to analyze the strategy for optimizing sub-district leadership in improving employee performance at the Kinali Sub-district Office, West Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that optimizing sub-district leadership is carried out through increasing supervision, providing motivation, and strengthening coordination between employees and the community. Factors that support leadership optimization include clear administrative authority and adequate resource support, while the main obstacles faced are lack of employee discipline and limited access to relevant training. The conclusion of this study confirms that effective sub-district leadership contributes significantly to improving employee performance and the quality of public services. Recommendations proposed include improving the performance evaluation system, technology-based employee training, and strengthening transparency in the public service process.

Abstract

: The implementation of public transportation policies in Medan City, particularly through the introduction of electric buses, aims to tackle the increasing problem of traffic congestion. This study evaluates the execution of this policy and its effects on traffic flow. The results show that the policy encompasses the establishment of infrastructure, including dedicated bus lanes and charging stations; however, challenges persist regarding coordination among agencies and efforts to engage the public. Electric buses have considerable potential to alleviate congestion due to their greater passenger capacity compared to private vehicles. The effectiveness of this policy is also affected by factors such as population density and travel behaviors. Consequently, it is essential to improve public awareness of the advantages of eco-friendly transportation. In summary, this policy requires enhanced support from the government, community, and private sector to positively influence mobility and environmental outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of price and lifestyle on iPhone purchasing decisions among Faculty of Medicine students. iPhone products are known for their premium quality which is a symbol of social status, so they are chosen by many students who prioritize a modern lifestyle. This research used a quantitative method with a survey approach, where data was obtained through questionnaires distributed to 96 students from the Faculty of Medicine. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression to determine the influence of price and lifestyle on iPhone purchasing decisions. The research results show that these two variables, price in accordance with product quality and lifestyle that supports social status, have a significant influence on purchasing decisions. These findings provide a deeper understanding of the factors that influence premium product purchasing decisions, especially among students.

Abstract

Inventory management plays a vital role in ensuring product availability and customer satisfaction, particularly in the electrical distribution industry, where demand tends to be dynamic. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of inventory management systems at PT XYZ, which has implemented an ERP system integrated with e-Kanban, yet still faces challenges in fulfilling customer demand on time. A key issue identified is the high rate of delivery delays, reaching 61%, primarily caused by manual buffer stock management and inconsistent forecasting accuracy. The analysis methods employed include the calculation of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Safety Stock (SS), Reorder Point (ROP), and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) to measure forecasting accuracy. The results show that EOQ ranges from 102 to 207 units per order, with significant potential for reducing ordering costs. However, 62.5% of products have actual Safety Stock below optimal levels, increasing the risk of stockouts. The current ROP has not effectively triggered timely reorder due to a lack of consideration for weekly demand fluctuations. The average MAPE value of 14.19% indicates sufficient forecast accuracy, though several products exceed 30%, reflecting notable discrepancies between forecasted and actual demand. In conclusion, the current inventory system at PT XYZ requires improvement, especially in the adjustment of SS and ROP based on real-time data and the automation of buffer stock management. These measures are expected to reduce the risk of stockouts, improve inventory cost efficiency, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the challenges faced by Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and recommend solutions to ensure the sustainability of this oldest educational institution. This research employs a descriptive approach through qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The sample consists of 210 respondents, including 66 students, 101 parents, and 43 teachers and administrators from the Baitul Hikmah Foundation in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java Province. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive analysis with an empathy map. The results indicate that the main challenges are related to high education costs, lack of extracurricular activities, service quality, curriculum and teaching systems, and the overall quality of the pesantren. To address these issues, the pesantren requires strategic solutions, such as establishing business units to support stronger and more independent funding, offering more varied extracurricular activities, improving service quality, reviewing the curriculum and teaching systems, and implementing strategies to enhance the quality of the pesantren.This study has limitations, as it only sampled 210 internal respondents from one pesantren. Future research should expand the sample size across multiple pesantren and include other stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial report quality and information transparency on regional financial performance, considering fiscal capacity as a control variable. Using a quantitative approach and multiple linear regression analysis, this study involves data from 10 major provinces in Indonesia during the 2020-2024 period. The results show that financial report quality, public information transparency, and fiscal capacity significantly affect regional financial performance. The regression model explains 92.4% of the variation in regional financial performance (R² = 0.924), making this model very strong statistically and empirically. These findings strengthen the importance of transparent and accountable regional financial governance and consider fiscal capacity as a strategic factor in improving performance.

Abstract

Indomaret's business strategy in entering the global market must rely on a holistic approach that includes market analysis, product adaptation, strategic partnerships, digital innovation, brand development, and adherence to sustainability principles. The purpose of this study is to identify the internal and external factors that influence Indomaret’s readiness to expand into the global market, determine the business strategies that can be applied for competition and adaptation in international markets, and understand the role of innovation, partnerships, and local cultural adaptation in supporting Indomaret’s global expansion success. The method used is literature study. The results of this study indicate that Indomaret's success in expanding into global markets is largely determined by the synergy between innovation, strategic partnerships, and adaptation to local cultures. Innovation enables Indomaret to remain relevant and competitive amid changing trends and international consumer needs, particularly through the use of technology, appropriate product development, and digitalized services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze brand positioning strategies to enhance brand awarenessof Koto Batu, a local handmade jewelry brand using natural gemstones and pure silver, craftedby local artisans. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through participant observation, indepth interviews, and literature review, the research explores how Koto Batu builds a distinctivebrand identity through healing benefits, ethnic-modern aesthetics, and social value such aswomen's empowerment and environmental awareness. SWOT analysis indicates that Koto Batu’sstrengths lie in product differentiation, emotional value, and unique design, but challengesremain in limited digital exposure and weak visual identity. Opportunities arise from thegrowing trends of wellness, while threats come from emerging local competitors with similarpositioning. A strong and consistent brand positioning strategy can reinforce brand perception,improve consumer awareness, and expand Koto Batu’s market reach.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi komunikasi interpersonal orangtua dalam mencegah perilaku seksual pranikah remaja di Kecamatan Medan Satria, Kota Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus tunggal instrumental. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan informan yang dipilih secara purposive dan snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga kategori strategi komunikasi interpersonal yang dilakukan orangtua: pengawasan, pengendalian sosial, dan pendidikan seksual. Strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan meliputi pendekatan persuasif, informatif, instruktif, hingga koersif. Faktor pendukung komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif meliputi empati, keterbukaan, dukungan, kesetaraan, dan sikap positif. Sebaliknya, hambatan komunikasi interpersonal antara lain kecemasan, kurangnya keterbukaan, hambatan semantik, serta status sosial. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya komunikasi interpersonal yang intensif dan terbuka dalam keluarga untuk mencegah perilaku seksual pranikah pada remaja.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan implementasi strategi customer relationship management Credit Union Likku Aba dalam meningkatkan loyalitas anggota. Pengetahuan pelanggan terhadap manfaat produk dan layanan dapat mempengaruhi keputusan pelanggan loyal terhadap perusahaan. Dalam konteks credit union, loyalitas anggota dapat diamati melalui partisipasi aktif dalam credit dan dalam komunikasi organisasi. Pendidikan dasar merupakan sumber informasi akurat bagi anggota untuk memahami organisasi dan pengelolaan credit union. Anggota yang sudah mendapatkan pendidikan dasar sekitar 12.24%. Di dalam pendidikan dasar terjadi penyampaian informasi tentang prinsip, nilai dan operasional credit union. Pelaksanaan pendidikan dasar disesuaikan dengan kesediaan waktu anggota juga. Agar menghindari terjadinya misinformasi tentang credit union, CU Likku Aba melakukan program pemberdayaan melalui kelompok-kelompok basis. CU Likku Aba juga melakukan hubungan jangka panjang dengan anggota dalam kelompok. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan pihak staf diklat dan pemberdayaan dan dokumentasi terkait topik obyek penelitian. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CU Likku Aba melakukan tahapan-tahapan dalam penerapan strategi CRM berupa identifikasi, segmentasi, interaksi dengan anggota, dan penyesuasian layanan. Penyesuaian tidak hanya terjadi pada layanan CU tetapi juga pada usaha pengembangan SDM anggota CU Likku Aba melalui kegiatan pemberdayaan.
