Abstract

Horticultural Commodity Plants are crop commodities consisting of vegetables, fruits, medicines, and spices. The advantages and disadvantages of horticultural commodity crops are one of the challenges that need to be considered in meeting the needs of the food and pharmaceutical industries which are increasingly out of control in terms of demand. One solution that can be given to researchers in the field of biotechnology in helping farmers to accelerate the process of plant propagation is through tissue culture techniques. The advantage of this method is that the plants produced are genetically the same and in harmony with their parents. The research method used is to collect data sources from the results of previous studies. The results of the review obtained that horticultural commodity plants propagated through tissue culture methods have prospects in the food and pharmaceutical fields. The conclusion in this review is that the tissue culture technique of horticultural commodity plants is a halal biotechnology method in vitro plant propagation to meet the interests of the food industry such as nutrition or nutriceuticals and pharmaceuticals such as cosmetics, herbal medicines, and phytopharmaceuticals. Several horticultural commodity plants with various problems through tissue culture techniques include vanilla, pepper, and tobacco. Purwoceng (Pimpinella pruatjan). Temu the princess (Curcuma petiolata). Puar (Elettaria sumatrana). Pulepandak (Rauwolfia serpentina). Pulai (Alstonia scholaris). Bidara upas (Merremia mammosa). Inggu (Ruta angustifolia). This is an example of a part of a horticultural commodity plant that has been successfully stored through tissue culture techniques as an in vitro germplasm collection.

Abstract

The majority of Indonesia's population is Muslim. Halal product testing needs to be tested for its tipping point, especially those made from microbes. Microbial products have been determined by the critical point procedure. The critical point of the idolatry of a food product is a stage of food production where a product allows it to become haram status. Identification of testing the critical point of a microbial product can go through several stages, namely food sources, microbial media, and processing procedures. Based on MUI, halal products are produced from animals or materials that are included in the halal category. The use of microbes in producing products is a rapid step in the food production process. Things that need to be considered in its processing include materials and growth media.

Defective products after using the seven tools can be seen the types of defects that exist such as peeling, corrosion of steel bones, deflection, hollow and porous The secondary causes are due to environmental factors, humans, methods, materials, machines. The secondary causes are significant, namely, the environment is dusty and dirty, dirty air, noisy, and high temperature. Human factors are lack of discipline, tired eyes, lack of thorough, fatigue of workers. On the material, corrosion (rusting) occurs on the reinforcement, the mixture of materials changes in volume, evaporation of water in the concrete mixture, the thickness of the concrete blanket is too large. Applying 5S, improving work position, monitoring temperature during production, checking and cleaning tools after use, checking the machine every week by the maintenance division Conclusion: the cause of the occurrence note products are due to primary and secondary factors as well as halal awareness factors in the scope of work and work processes, it is very possible to create superior performance based on halal knowledge (halal knowledge), so that the seven tools can be equipped with Halal awareness factors as factors that affect performance towards zero product notes on the concrete product
