Abstract

This study investigates the borrowing and financial behavior of microbusiness owners in Barangay Batinguel, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Philippines, focusing on sari-sari store owners. The research aims to determine their demographic profile, borrowing behavior, financial behavior, and the relationship between their demographic profile and financial and borrowing behavior. A descriptive method was employed, utilizing a self-made questionnaire to collect data from 19 registered sari-sari store owners selected through purposive sampling. Results revealed that the majority of respondents were aged 41 years or older, predominantly female, with family incomes of PHP 10,000 or less. Borrowing behavior varied, with most borrowing 1-2 times per year, and loan amounts ranging from PHP 3,000 to above PHP 10,000. Financial behavior assessments showed that respondents demonstrated a moderate level of financial literacy. The analysis indicated that demographic factors, such as age, sex, family income, educational attainment, years of operation, and monthly sales, influenced the financial behavior of the respondents. The study recommends increased access to financial literacy programs for microbusiness owners and the development of tailored financial support policies by financial institutions and government agencies. Future research should explore other factors affecting borrowing and financial behavior and expand the scope of the study to other regions in the Philippines.

Abstract

Stock market bubbles are times when valuation dynamics are momentarily explosive. Stock bubbles can be interpreted as a deviation of stock prices from their fundamental value. LPPLS is one of model to calculate bubble, which assuming that an asset's observed price trend during a bubble era differs from its intrinsic fundamental value. This research is qualitative study or descriptive research to review the LPPLS as a model to calculate bubbles in stock. This study uses secondary data sourced from articles which published in Scopus Indexed International Journal. The conclusion of the research that the LPPLS model can calculate, predict and identify accurately bubbles related  historical event such as the black Monday, dot com, and subprime crisis periods. The LPPLS model has the advantage, including construct end of bubble signals accurately.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop intervention program based on teachers’ level of difficulty in developing school-based Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) among thirty-eight teachers of Glan-Padidu National High School, SY 2020-2021. It utilized correlational quantitative and qualitative research designs. Results revealed that respondents have difficulty in developing school-based SLMs in content with 2.228 composite mean: variation of teaching methods and learning activities with 1.763 weighted mean; presentation with 2.535; assessment with 2.544; and language with 2.579. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between educational attainment and language with negative correlation – the lower the educational attainment of teachers, the higher the level of difficulty experienced. Hence, teachers are encouraged to pursue graduate studies. The I’m Assertive, Motivated to Focus Guro Development (iAM-FGD) Program was conducted to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitude among teachers who experienced difficulties in developing school-based SLMs. Focused group discussion by learning area was held. Teachers prepared a lesson plan from their developed school-based SLMS. They presented and defended why they used such teaching strategies and learning activities. Technical assistance was provided by instructional coaches.  Fellow teachers shared insights on: “What specific learning activity and teaching strategy is worth emulating?”.

Abstract

Today, energy is at the forefront of issues that are critical to all governments. The ever increasing global population, along with expanding industry, has resulted in an inevitable increase in energy demand. Nowadays, in order to get desired benefits while using less energy, the issue of insulation has arisen, and thus the necessity of insulation has increased. Foamed concrete has properties such as a high strength-to-weight ratio and a low density. The use of foamed concrete minimizes dead loads on the structure and foundation, aids to energy saving, and saves construction labour costs. In this study the mechanical properties of foamed concrete was analyzed and the strength prediction of compressive was determined with the help of MATLAB. Interaction terms such as cement, flyash, marble sludge powder, water and foaming agent  within a volume were inferred as a input and compressive strength is the output with training of 3 hidden layers were used to improve the efficacy of the predictive modeling of the foam concrete.

This study uses the literature review research method which is a very appropriate method used in articles related to regional autonomy and poverty in Indonesia. This is because this method can assist in obtaining a more comprehensive understanding of the concept of regional autonomy and poverty, including theories, concepts and research results related to the topic of regional autonomy and poverty. The results of this study are that regional autonomy has the potential to reduce poverty in Indonesia, especially through improving public services and economic opportunities for people at the local level. However, the successful implementation of the regional autonomy policy in reducing poverty in Indonesia still depends on factors such as the quality of human resources, the availability of financial and technological resources, and an effective governance system. Abstract

Christian University of Technology Solo produces quite a large amount of waste, which in 1 day produces around 7 kg of waste resulting from the activities of 2 canteen units, dry leaf waste on the UKTS campus yard, and waste from the activities of students, staff and lecturers at Solo Christian University of Technology. This method uses biopore infiltration holes located in the yard of Solo Christian University of Technology, where organic waste is divided into two groups, namely kitchen waste and dry leaves. Kitchen waste is mixed into one consisting of leftover rice, vegetables, chicken bones, fried leftovers and dry leaves which are cut and crushed into leaf powder. The waste is put in the biopori infiltration hole and given water to keep it moist. Humidity was measured every week and water was added. The results of this study were that from 5 biopori infiltration holes with 4.88 kg of dry leaf waste, 1.48 kg of compost was produced with a decomposition process time of 57 days, while the 6th biopori infiltration hole had the amount of waste. a 6.5 kg kitchen produces 1.3 kg of compost with a decomposition time of 30 days
