Abstract

This study aims to describe the condition of student learning motivation, examine the utilization of digital technology, and identify various factors influencing learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for eighth-grade students at MTs Muhammadiyah Tanjungsari, Sumedang Regency,West Java, amidst the era of digital transformation. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with eight students and two teachers, then analyzed using open coding, axial coding, and selective coding stages. The results show that student motivation in PAI learning is diverse. Some students have strong intrinsic motivation arising from religious awareness and the need to understand religious teachings. Others are influenced by external factors such as the role of teachers, parental support, and peer environment. On the other hand, amotivation was also found in some students. The use of digital technology can increase student engagement and interest in learning. However, its effectiveness is highly influenced by the availability of facilities and the teacher's ability to integrate technology appropriately into the learning process. Nevertheless, students still view direct explanations from teachers as the primary source for understanding material. Thus, technology functions as a support, not a replacement for pedagogical interaction. This study concludes that optimizing PAI learning motivation in the digital era requires alignment between students' internal drive, innovative learning strategies by teachers, social environmental support, and technological infrastructure readiness.

Abstract

Understanding the concept of teacher-student etiquette in the Islamic tradition cannot be separated from the historical and socio-scholarly backgrounds of each figure. From an Islamic perspective, etiquette is not merely a matter of manners, but rather the spiritual foundation of scholarship. Classical scholars emphasize that etiquette is a prerequisite for knowledge to bring blessings rather than harm. This article conducts an in-depth comparative analysis of the concept of teacher-student etiquette from the perspectives of three prominent scholars: Imam al-Zarnuji, Imam Ibn Jama’ah, and K.H. Hasyim Asy’ari, with a focus on the close connection between their educational philosophies and the historical and socio-intellectual contexts of their respective eras. The objective of this study is to elucidate how the dynamics of the educational environment—ranging from the personal Halaqah system, formal madrasah institutions, to Pesantren under colonial pressure—gave rise to distinct characteristics in the focus and scope of Adab.  This study used Library Research approach. The Data were analyzed descriptively and comparatively.  The findings of this study were : al-Zarnuji’s emphasis on individual student behavior, Ibn Jama‘ah’s focus on the balance of rights and obligations within an institutional context, and Hasyim Asy‘ari’s most systematic and community-oriented elaboration. The implications for modern Indonesian education are that the revitalization of Adab involves strengthening ethical codes, integrating humanistic and spiritual values, and applying gradual and interactive methods. The main commonalities among the three include sincere intention, the duty to honor and obey the teacher, patience and gentleness, not overburdening students, repetition of material, moral supervision, teacher fairness, and student patience toward the teacher. This research is beneficial theoretically, practically, and culturally by bridging universal Islamic traditions and the local wisdom of the Nusantara, making the works of these scholars a highly relevant legacy for the ethical challenges of education today.

Abstract

The importance of using learning media that is appropriate to the developmental characteristics of early childhood, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Children aged 4–5 years are in the preoperational development stage which is easier to understand concepts through visual media and concrete experiences. However, in practice, PAI learning is often still dominated by verbal methods so that it is less interesting and less optimal in increasing child engagement. Therefore, the use of flashcards is an alternative learning media that can help children understand PAI material in a more interesting and interactive way. This study aims to describe the implementation of the use of flashcards in Islamic Religious Education learning for children aged 4–5 years at Syuhada Kindergarten. The focus of the research includes planning the use of flashcards, implementing the use of flashcards in the learning process, evaluating the use of flashcards, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, including children's responses and involvement during learning activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a field research type. The research subjects include class teachers of the 4–5 year old age group and the principal of Syuhada Kindergarten as supporting informants. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that the use of flashcards at Syuhada Kindergarten was planned in the learning program and implemented interactively through games that increased children's activity, enthusiasm, and engagement. Flashcards also helped improve children's understanding and retention of the material, particularly the hijaiyah letters, due to their concrete and engaging nature. Despite challenges in discipline and differences in children's abilities, flashcards were generally effective in creating more engaging, active, and meaningful learning

Abstract

Digitalization has changed the marketing landscape of the food and beverage industry, including in the context of industrial cafes. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital marketing and product quality on purchasing decisions, with purchase intention as a mediating variable. This study answers four main questions: (1) to what extent does digital marketing influence purchase intention, (2) how does product quality influence purchase intention, (3) does purchase intention influence purchasing decisions, and (4) does purchase intention act as a mediator in the relationship between external stimuli and purchasing decisions. This study uses a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares analysis and PROCESS Macro modeling techniques. The results show that digital marketing and product quality significantly increase purchase intention, with indirect effects of 0.2222 and 0.2257, respectively. Purchase intention was also found to significantly influence purchase decisions (β = 0.347, p < 0.001). Mediation analysis showed that purchase intention acted as a partial mediator. These findings confirm the validity of the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) Model in the consumer behavior of industrial cafes. The researchers suggest that cafe owners integrate attractive digital promotions with product quality improvements to maximize purchase conversion

Abstract

This study aims to provide empirical understanding of the effect of financial performance, particularly profitability (ROA) and liquidity (CR), on stock prices, with company size as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative method with an associative causal approach. The research population includes transportation sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and through purposive sampling, 15 companies were selected with a total of 45 observations during the 2022–2024 period. Data analysis was performed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with a Random Effect model and processed using STATA 17 software. The results showed that Return on Assets (ROA) had no significant effect on stock prices with a probability value of 0.644, while Current Ratio (CR) also showed no significant effect with a probability value of 0.351. Simultaneously, ROA and CR did not significantly affect stock prices, indicated by a Wald chi² probability value of 0.6132. However, company size significantly moderated the relationship between ROA and stock prices in a strengthening direction (p-value = 0.007), while company size weakened the effect of CR on stock prices (p-value = 0.000). These findings indicate that larger companies tend to strengthen investor confidence in profitability performance, whereas excessive liquidity in large firms may be perceived as inefficient asset management. This study shows that transportation companies need to optimize asset management efficiency and adjust liquidity strategies according to company characteristics to maintain stock value and increase investor confidence

Abstract

This study aims to identify and understand the effectiveness of legal protection for prospective Hajj pilgrims who are victims of illegal visa use within the jurisdiction of the South Sulawesi Regional Police. This study employs an empirical legal research method (socio-legal research) with an empirical juridical approach that emphasizes the application of law in practice (law in action). Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis involving law enforcement officials, relevant agencies, community leaders, and victims. The results indicate that the effectiveness of legal protection is influenced by five factors according to Soerjono Soekanto’s theory: legal factors, law enforcement, infrastructure, society, and culture. All of these factors remain in the “less effective” category, with percentages of 54.11% for legal factors, 52.94% for law enforcement, 56.48% for facilities and infrastructure, 58.82% for society, and 51.77% for culture. This study recommends strengthening inter-agency coordination, improving legal education for the public, enforcing the law firmly and consistently, and optimizing surveillance facilities and technology to prevent the use of illegal visas in the administration of the Hajj

Abstract

The phenomenon of regional elections with a single candidate in Indonesia continues to increase and raises serious problems for the quality of local democracy. The Constitutional Court Decision Number 100/PUU-XIII/2015 has provided constitutional legitimacy for "empty boxes" as a legitimate choice of voters, which was then accommodated in Law Number 10 of 2016. However, the recognition has not been followed by adequate administrative arrangements. In contrast to candidate pairs who have complete legal and institutional tools, blank boxes do not have the status of formal legal subjects, thus creating a void in arrangements related to representation, facilitation, supervision, funding, legal protection, and dispute resolution. This condition creates inequality of contestation and weakens the principle of level playing field in the single-candidate Regional Elections. This research is normative legal research with legislative, case, conceptual, and historical approaches. Legal materials are analyzed qualitatively through the identification of legal gaps, regulatory gaps, and implementation gaps, and using electoral law justice theories which are built on three main dimensions: legal certainty, equality of contestation, and protection of political rights. This study examines the legal position of empty boxes after the Constitutional Court Decision Number 100/PUU-XIII/2015, the impact of regulatory voids on electoral justice, and the model of restructuring its arrangements. The results of the study show that the main problem no longer lies in the legality of empty boxes, but in the incompleteness of the regulatory design. The void causes legal uncertainty and inequality between a single candidate supported by a full institutional apparatus and an empty box that is only present as a symbol on the ballot. Therefore, this study offers a reconstruction model based on limited administrative representation for the support group of empty boxes through multi-level arrangements in the Regional Election Law, KPU Regulations, Bawaslu Regulations, and technical guidelines for implementation. This reconstruction includes the facilitation of neutral information, limited recognition of support groups, funding accountability, supervision, legal protection, and limited objection and dispute mechanisms. The model is expected to strengthen legal certainty, maintain the integrity of local democracy, and realize electoral justice in single-candidate elections

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the presence of the modern retailer Alfamart on the profit and loss conditions of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) using a qualitative approach and observation instruments. The data used are entirely secondary data obtained from scientific journals, books, research reports, and official documents related to modern retail and MSMEs. The results of the study indicate that the presence of Alfamart generally has an impact on decreasing the turnover and profits of MSMEs, especially for small businesses that sell similar products and are located close to modern retail outlets. The decline in turnover that is not offset by a reduction in fixed costs causes a narrowing of profit margins and in many cases leads to losses and the threat of business closure. This impact is not uniform, because it is influenced by internal factors, external factors, and relational factors. The findings of the literature study also indicate a dual impact, namely Alfamart simultaneously poses a threat and an opportunity for MSMEs, depending on the adaptability of business actors and the design of policies that regulate the relationship between modern retail and MSMEs

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Auditor Competence and Internal Control System on Audit Quality at the Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) of Cirebon and the Inspectorate of Cirebon City. The population comprised 45 internal auditors and employees directly involved in the audit process, and a census sampling technique was employed so that all members of the population were included as the study sample. This research adopted an associative quantitative approach, grounded in Agency Theory. Data were collected through questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS. The results of the normality test produced an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.062 (>0.05), confirming that the data were normally distributed. The multicollinearity test yielded Tolerance = 0.427 and VIF = 2.339, indicating no multicollinearity among the independent variables. The regression equation was formulated as Y = 11.862 + 0.098X1 + 0.508X2. Auditor competence (X1) had a positive and significant effect on audit quality (t = 3.725, sig. < 0.001, β = 0.098). The internal control system (X2) also had a positive and highly significant effect and constituted the most dominant factor (t = 27.921, sig. < 0.001, β = 0.508). Simultaneously, both variables had a positive and significant effect on audit quality (F = 1112.098, sig. < 0.001), with an Adjusted R² of 0.981, indicating that 98.1% of the variation in audit quality is explained by these two variables, while the remaining 1.9% is attributed to other factors. The conclusion of this study confirms that the Cirebon Regional-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) and the Cirebon City Inspectorate need to prioritize strengthening the internal control system and the ongoing development of auditor competencies to improve audit quality, as these two factors complement each other in supporting the realization of professional, independent, and high-quality internal audits.

Abstract

This study aims to test the professionalism of MNCTV reporters in covering and writing news, focusing on knowledge, skills, and work ethics. The theory used in this study is the establishment of a media agenda to further criticize the editorial policy on reporting assignments to reporters. The research method used is a qualitative case study. The results of the study show that MNCTV reporters are quite professional in covering and writing news, although there are some things that deserve to be criticized. The news presented still contains many ceremonial activities related to regional elections, such as visits to the community and the dissemination of campaign promises. News that criticizes the weaknesses of regional candidates is still less prominent. In fact, news like this is very important for viewers to know so that it can be a reference material in choosing the best regional head candidate. Every contestant in a campaign always tends to spread promises. Ideally, MNCTV reporters criticize such promises as balanced social control when covering and writing news
