Abstract

This study examines the synergistic effects of health center service quality and patient knowledge on patient satisfaction at a community health center (Puskesmas) in Cimahi City, West Java, Indonesia. A quantitative methods was employed with data collected from purposively selected adult respondents residing in the Cimahi Tengah Sub-district who had utilized Puskesmas services within the preceding six months. Service quality was operationalized using the SERVQUAL instrument covering five dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. Patient knowledge and patient satisfaction were each measured using validated instruments adapted from established references. All instruments demonstrated satisfactory internal consistency. Path analysis using LISREL software was employed to assess direct and causal relationships among variables. Results indicated that service quality exerted a significant direct positive effect on patient satisfaction, as did patient knowledge. Simultaneously, both variables jointly explained a substantial proportion of the variance in patient satisfaction, confirming the synergistic contribution of the two predictors. These findings underscore the importance of a dual strategy combining continuous service delivery improvement and systematic patient health-literacy programs to achieve higher patient satisfaction in Indonesian primary healthcare settings

Abstract

This quantitative research aims to examine the influence of job boredom, cyberloafing, and perceived organizational justice on performance of generation Y and Z, with the mediation of organizational commitment in the logistics sector of warehousing and land transportation in Indonesia. The cross-sectional approach was used in data collection with purposive sampling, by distributing questionnaires to employees, working in 8 logistics companies in Jakarta during October until November 2024, with 1014 respondents involved, 623 generation Y and 391 generation Z. Data analysis is using Structural Equation Modeling. The results of the hypothesis test show there is no direct influence of cyberloafing or through the mediation of organizational commitment on employee performance, but there is mediation of organizational commitment in the influence of job boredom and perceived organizational justice on employee performance. This study contributes to the enrichment of literature on the work behavior of generation Y and generation Z regarding job boredom, perceived organizational justice, cyberloafing, and organizational commitment in association with performance. Companies need to strive on strengthening organizational values and culture that can inspire employees, as well as creating policies and activities that can strengthen organizational commitment, so that they can mitigate the negative impact of job boredom and increase the positive influence of perceived organizational justice on employee performance. Future research should study the frequency of cyberloafing and longitudinal test that can lead to more comprehensive analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate how meme marketing content influences social media fatigue and subsequent purchase intentions among Generation Z TikTok users in Indonesia. Utilizing a quantitative approach within a causal research design, data were gathered via a web-based questionnaire from 137 sampled individuals aged 17 to 25. The empirical data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) within the SmartPLS software environment. The findings revealed that meme marketing content exerts a significant negative effect on social media fatigue (β = −0.258, t = 3.832, p < 0.001), indicating that humorous marketing material effectively mitigates users' cognitive exhaustion. Furthermore, meme marketing content demonstrated a significant positive effect on purchase intention (β = 0.459, t = 5.318, p < 0.001). Conversely, social media fatigue showed neither a significant direct effect on purchase intention (β = −0.120, t = 1.532, p = 0.126) nor a significant mediating role between meme marketing content and purchase intention (β = 0.031, t = 1.267, p = 0.205). These findings suggest that meme marketing is an effective strategy to reduce digital fatigue while simultaneously driving purchase intentions among Generation Z consumers on TikTok

Abstract

National Strategic Projects (NSPs) in the electricity sector play an important role in supporting national energy needs and economic growth. However, the implementation of these projects frequently causes damage to forest ecosystems, resulting in environmental degradation and disruption of forest ecological functions. This study aims to analyze the forms of criminal liability in the electricity sector for forest ecosystem damage arising from the implementation of NSPs. The research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings indicate that criminal liability may be imposed on both corporations and individuals through the application of the principles of strict liability and vicarious liability, particularly in cases involving violations of environmental and forestry regulations. Criminal law enforcement still faces several obstacles, including regulatory disharmony, difficulties in proving causality, and the justification of actions in the name of national development. Therefore, regulatory harmonization and stronger law enforcement oriented toward sustainable development principles are necessary to ensure effective protection of forest ecosystems.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the harmonization of regional regulations in the development and protection of island tourism in Indramayu Regency from the perspective of State Administrative Law. The focus of the research includes the identification of regional regulatory forms, the regulation of regional government authority, and the mechanism of regulatory harmonization to support the sustainable management of tourist islands. The research method uses a qualitative approach with juridical-normative and descriptive-analytical methods thru the study of regional regulation documents, interviews with Indramayu Regency Dispara officials, and regulatory synchronization analysis. The research results show that regional regulations, including Regional Regulation No. 1/2018, Regional Regulation No. 6/2024, and Regional Regulation on Spatial Planning (RTRW) No. 1/2012, provide a clear normative framework for tourism management, but the effectiveness of implementation is influenced by administrative capacity and fiscal resources. Regulatory harmonization is carried out by aligning the RIPPARKAB with provincial and national regulations, in accordance with the principles of legal harmonization and the general principles of good governance (AUPB), thereby enabling sustainable and accountable island tourism management. This research provides theoretical and practical contributions to strengthening regional tourism governance, bridging the gap between legal norms and policy implementation, and emphasizing the importance of local government administrative capacity.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has fundamentally transformed consumer behaviour within e-commerce ecosystems, particularly regarding the adoption of mobile-based shopping platforms. Despite growing scholarly interest, the combined influence of brand image and electronic word of mouth (eWOM) on platform-specific usage decisions remains insufficiently synthesized in the existing literature. This study aims to map and analyze the roles of brand image and eWOM in shaping consumer decisions to use Shopee, one of Southeast Asia's most dominant e-commerce platforms. Employing a literature review methodology, this research identifies, evaluates, and critically synthesizes empirical and conceptual studies published in reputable national and international journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and Sinta. A total of 42 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 were included in the final corpus. The findings reveal that brand image exerts a significant positive effect on consumer usage decisions, whereby a strong, credible, and consistent brand perception substantially elevates consumer trust and platform adoption intent. Concurrently, eWOM—operationalized through online reviews, star ratings, and peer recommendations disseminated via digital channels—demonstrates a robust and measurable impact on consumer decision-making by reducing perceived risk and amplifying purchase confidence. Notably, the synergistic interaction between brand image and eWOM produces a compounding effect on consumers' sustained intention to select and continuously engage with Shopee as their primary shopping platform. A key novel finding of this review is that eWOM does not merely act as a parallel influence alongside brand image; rather, it functions as a dynamic antecedent that actively shapes and reinforces brand image formation over time, creating a self-reinforcing cycle of positive consumer influence. These findings advance digital marketing theory by integrating brand equity and information adoption frameworks within the e-commerce context, while offering actionable strategic implications for platform managers in optimizing brand communication and user-generated content ecosystems.

Abstract

Cybercrime in credit card transactions inflicts severe financial damage, with extreme class imbalances often biasing conventional models toward high false positive rates. This study compares and optimizes tree-ensemble algorithms XGBoost and LightGBM to develop a Fraud Detection model that is statistically accurate, computationally efficient, and minimizes real banking financial losses. Utilizing a dataset of 23,769 transactions with a 270:1 imbalance ratio, both models were optimized via the Tree-structured Parzen Estimator and validated using 5-Fold Stratified Cross-Validation. Performance was evaluated through classification metrics, computational efficiency, and the Expected Cost of Misclassification, while Explainable AI via SHAP values ensured model transparency. Results demonstrate LightGBM’s superiority, achieving perfect precision (1.000) and an F1-Score of 0.9714, effectively minimizing financial losses to Rp5,000,000. Although XGBoost trained faster, LightGBM’s 60-millisecond latency meets real-time standards, providing a robust, transparent risk mitigation system for banking operations. The implementation of this architecture significantly enhances the competitiveness of IT efficiency and banking risk governance in the digital era

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of female board directors in influencing audit fees. Furthermore, it also examines the effect of company performance on the influence of female board directors on audit fees. To examine the problem, this study uses upper-echelon theory as a theoretical basis. The sample used in the study was 23 publicly listed mining companies in Indonesia for the 2020-2024 period, comprising both state-owned and private companies, with 115 years of observation data using a purposive sampling method. The research method employed quantitative methods using panel data regression. The research data used were secondary data derived from the companies' annual reports. The results showed that the greater the composition of female directors in a company, a significant positive effect on audit fees (coef = 0.58707; p = 0.078; R2 =0.203). Meanwhile, company performance as a moderating variable had no effect on this relationship (coef = -4.82214; p = 0.340; R2 =0.230). The results of this study can provide input for both state-owned and private companies, suggesting that women are more conservative and cautious in running their companies

Abstract

This research investigates the key drivers of student loyalty within private higher education institutions in Medan, emphasizing institutional commitment, socioeconomic status, and brand trust. A quantitative design was applied through Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), utilizing data from 450 active students proportionally drawn from universities, institutes, colleges, and polytechnics in the region. The study employed a structured questionnaire developed from validated indicators and assessed using a five-point Likert scale. The findings reveal that all three constructs exert a significant and positive influence on student loyalty. Among them, brand trust emerged as the most influential factor, with a path coefficient of 0.426, t-value of 7.582, and p-value of 0.000. Institutional commitment followed, with a path coefficient of 0.287, t-value of 4.926, and p-value of 0.000, while socioeconomic background also demonstrated a notable effect (path coefficient 0.218, t-value 3.714, p-value 0.000). The R² value of 0.624 indicates that these variables collectively explain 62.4% of the variance in student loyalty, leaving 37.6% attributable to other factors beyond the model. Overall, the study underscores that student loyalty is shaped not only by academic services but also by institutional credibility, reliability in fulfilling commitments, and sensitivity to students’ socioeconomic realities. From a theoretical standpoint, the research enriches existing scholarship by integrating institutional, socioeconomic, and trust-based dimensions into a unified loyalty framework. Practically, the results suggest that private higher education institutions in Medan should prioritize strengthening brand trust, sustaining institutional commitment, and designing inclusive services to foster student loyalty and enhance competitiveness
