Abstract

Sexual violence against children is a global problem that has serious impacts on their physical, psychological, and social development. One preventative measure is to increase children's literacy regarding bodily privacy from an early age. This community service activity aims to increase children's knowledge about bodily privacy through storytelling. The activity was conducted in Jeumpeut Ajun Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency, targeting elementary school-aged children. The methods used were educational counseling using storytelling media, illustrated posters, interactive discussions, and evaluation using a pre-test and post-test design. A total of 15 children participated in this activity. The analysis showed that the average knowledge score of the children before the intervention was 49.33 and increased to 84.67 after the intervention. The paired sample t-test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores. These results indicate that the storytelling method is effective in increasing children's understanding of bodily privacy as a preventative measure for child sexual violence.

Abstract

Cigarette consumption remains a significant global public health problem, impacting not only health but also household economic conditions. Objective: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of education regarding the impact of cigarettes on increasing public awareness of the health and economic aspects of families. Method: This study used a descriptive approach through education-based community service activities conducted in Lamblang Manyang Village, Aceh Besar. The intervention was carried out through lectures, interactive discussions, and simulations of calculating cigarette expenditures. Results: The results showed an increase in public understanding of the dangers of cigarettes and their impact on family finances. Economic simulations were the most effective component in increasing participant awareness. Conclusion: Community-based education is effective in increasing health and economic awareness and has the potential to encourage behavioral change.

Abstract

Teacher professional competence and student learning motivation are important factors influencing learning outcomes. However, some students still do not achieve the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), indicating the need for further investigation. This study aims to analyze the effect of teacher professional competence and student learning motivation on learning outcomes in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) among class X students at MA Al Mahrusiyah Lirboyo. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey design. The population consisted of 279 students, with a sample of 74 selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation, and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that teacher professional competence significantly influences learning outcomes (R² = 0.710; sig. 0.001), as does student learning motivation (R² = 0.676; sig. 0.001). Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect learning outcomes (R² = 0.747; sig. 0.002). In conclusion, both partially and simultaneously, teacher professional competence and student learning motivation have a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes

Abstract

The shooting of Palestinian medical volunteer Razan Al-Najjar on June 1, 2018 in Khan Younis, Gaza Strip, by Israeli forces constitutes a serious allegation of violation of International Humanitarian Law (IHL). This research explicitly aims to examine (i) the legal status and scope of protection afforded to medical personnel under IHL, and (ii) the forms of legal accountability applicable to the shooting of Razan Al-Najjar through a case-based normative legal analysis grounded in treaty law and authoritative interpretations. Using a normative juridical method with statute, conceptual, and case approaches, this study analyzes the 1949 Geneva Conventions, the 1977 Additional Protocols, the Rome Statute, and relevant UN fact-finding reports. The study finds that the incident reflects a systemic breach of the IHL principles of distinction and special protection of medical personnel, corroborated by recurring patterns of attacks against health workers in Gaza. The novelty of this research lies in identifying the shooting as a legally cognizable form of individual criminal responsibility for war crimes specifically willful killing and intentionally targeting medical personnel as well as exploring the dual-layer accountability involving state responsibility and command responsibility. Furthermore, instead of framing “sanctions” simplistically, this research clarifies that enforcement may occur through mechanisms of international accountability, including referrals to the International Criminal Court, targeted measures under UN mechanisms, and obligations of third states to ensure respect for IHL under Common Article 1 of the Geneva Conventions. This study concludes that the shooting of Razan Al-Najjar meets the legal threshold of an IHL violation with potential war crime implications, and emphasizes the urgent need to strengthen international enforcement pathways to address persistent impunity in attacks on medical personnel

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the neutrality of civil servants (ASN) within the framework of bureaucratic meritocracy in regional head elections (pilkada), with a particular focus on identifying structural and institutional factors that influence violations of neutrality. This research employs a normative legal method using statutory and conceptual approaches. Legal materials are classified into primary sources, including laws and regulations governing ASN neutrality, secondary sources such as books and scholarly articles, and tertiary sources including legal dictionaries. The analysis is conducted through qualitative and interpretative techniques to examine the consistency between legal norms and their implementation in practice. The findings reveal that the persistence of neutrality violations among civil servants is not primarily caused by the absence of legal regulation, but rather by weak implementation of the merit system, ineffective bureaucratic oversight, and inconsistent law enforcement. Supervision mechanisms tend to be reactive rather than preventive, while enforcement institutions face fragmentation of authority and lack of coordination. Furthermore, the legal culture within bureaucracy still tolerates political intervention, which undermines the principle of professionalism. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that ensuring ASN neutrality requires not only adequate regulatory frameworks but also institutional strengthening, integrated supervision systems, and consistent enforcement mechanisms. These findings contribute theoretically to the development of administrative law by emphasizing the importance of institutional capacity and legal culture and practically provide policy implications for improving bureaucratic governance and safeguarding democratic integrity in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of work motivation and work discipline on employee performance at Saera Home Living. This research employs a quantitative method with an associative approach, involving 53 employees selected through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression, including validity, reliability, classical assumption, and hypothesis testing. The results reveal that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, indicating that motivational factors play a dominant role in improving employee outcomes. In contrast, work discipline does not have a significant partial effect, suggesting that formal compliance alone is insufficient to enhance performance without internal motivation. However, both variables simultaneously influence employee performance, with a contribution of 47%, while the remaining 53% is explained by other factors. This study contributes to the literature by highlighting a contextual finding where work discipline does not significantly affect performance in a project-based interior industry setting. It emphasizes that employee performance is more strongly driven by psychological factors rather than administrative control, offering both theoretical insight and practical implications for human resource management strategies.

Abstract

Issues of gender, disability, and social inclusion are important dimensions in the development of equitable, sustainable, and rights-based education. In the context of Islamic education in Indonesia, these three issues have not been fully integrated into systemic policies, curricula, and institutional practices. This article aims to map structural-social challenges as well as offer transformative strategies based on theological, sociological, and public policy approaches to realize inclusive Islamic education. Through a critical literature review of national policies such as the GEDSI KOMPAK and SKALA Strategies, as well as an intersectional approach in gender and disability analysis, it was found that Islamic education still faces various obstacles such as social stigma, curative approaches to disability, and patriarchal bias in religious interpretation. This article offers transformative strategies, including: reformulation of the maqāṣid al-shari'ah-based curriculum, inclusion training for educators, institutional affirmation in the 3T area, and integration of GEDSI-based disaggregated data. The concept of Islam as a religion of rahmatan lil 'alamin is a solid theological basis in order to form an Islamic education system that is just, humane, and responsive to the diversity of student needs.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis integrasi nilai kearifan lokal dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dan implikasinya terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kajian kepustakaan, menelaah literatur, artikel ilmiah, dan sumber akademik terkait untuk memahami konsep, strategi, dan penerapan nilai lokal dalam kurikulum PAI. Kajian ini menekankan pentingnya memadukan nilai-nilai lokal dengan prinsip-prinsip Qur’ani agar pembelajaran menjadi lebih kontekstual, aplikatif, dan bermakna bagi kehidupan siswa. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kearifan lokal membantu siswa menginternalisasi nilai moral, sosial, dan budaya secara nyata, serta membentuk karakter yang religius, berbudaya, bertanggung jawab, dan adaptif terhadap lingkungan sosial dan budaya. Pendekatan ini membuat pembelajaran PAI lebih relevan, partisipatif, dan meningkatkan motivasi serta keterlibatan siswa. Keberhasilan implementasi integrasi nilai lokal memerlukan perencanaan yang matang, kapasitas guru yang memadai, dukungan sumber belajar, serta kerja sama aktif antara sekolah, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, integrasi kearifan lokal dalam PAI tidak hanya membekali siswa dengan pengetahuan agama, tetapi juga membentuk generasi yang berkarakter, memiliki identitas budaya yang kuat, dan siap menghadapi perubahan zaman tanpa kehilangan nilai moral dan spiritual.

Abstract

Gender inequality in Islamic societies often stems from patriarchal interpretations of religious texts. This research aims to analyze and compare the gender liberation theology of two prominent Muslim intellectuals, Fatimah Mernissi and Mansour Fakih. Utilizing a literature study method with comparative and critical analysis approaches, this study explores how both figures deconstruct the roots of gender inequality. The findings reveal that Fatimah Mernissi emphasizes her struggle on epistemological and historical-philological critiques of misogynistic hadiths, which she identifies as products of "Political/Cultural Islam," in order to restore the egalitarian essence of "Message Islam" (Islam Risalah). Meanwhile, Mansour Fakih focuses his analysis on sociological-structural aspects through the "Theology of the Oppressed" (Teologi Kaum Tertindas). The theological reconstruction offered by Mernissi and Fakih shifts from rigid jurisprudence (fiqh) toward justice-oriented interpretation, positioning human equality as a fundamental principle of Islam

Abstract

The development of contemporary Islamic economics demonstrates significant growth both institutionally and regulatorily. However, amid this expansion, criticism has emerged that Islamic economics tends to be trapped within a formal-legalistic approach that emphasizes legal compliance, while the dimensions of ethics and social justice have not been adequately integrated. This article aims to reconstruct the paradigm of contemporary Islamic economics through a conceptual analysis that integrates normative texts, Islamic ethics, and social realities within the framework of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. This study employs a qualitative approach, specifically library research, combined with a conceptual approach through the analysis of contemporary Islamic economics and Islamic studies literature. The findings indicate that the dominance of the formal-legal paradigm has led to the marginalization of Islamic ethics and weakened the transformative capacity of Islamic economics. Furthermore, there exists a tension between the idealism of Islamic normative texts, which are oriented toward justice, and the reality of Islamic economic practices, which tend to be less inclusive. This article proposes a reconstruction of an integrative Islamic economics paradigm that positions Islamic economics as both an ethical system and a social practice oriented toward public welfare (maṣlaḥah). Within this integrative paradigm, Islamic economics is understood not merely as a system of legal compliance, but as an instrument of social transformation that is responsive to contemporary challenges.
