Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Qur'an memorization (tahfizh) in improving Arabic language skills and learning motivation among Indonesian students through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The increasing number of tahfizh educational institutions in Indonesia necessitates a critical evaluation of whether memorization activities actually contribute to Arabic language acquisition. Data were collected from scientific articles published between 2020-2024 in the Google Scholar, Garuda, and SINTA databases, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The literature synthesis results indicate that tahfizh plays a positive role in strengthening phonological aspects, reading fluency, and mastery of Arabic vocabulary. Tahfizh also has the potential to increase learning motivation by strengthening religious orientation, self-regulation, and persistence. However, the effect of tahfizh on grammatical skills and language productivity depends on intermediary factors such as understanding verse meanings, muraja'ah intensity, and a supportive Arabic learning environment. These findings confirm that tahfizh does not automatically improve all aspects of Arabic without the support of language practice and habituation. The theoretical implication is the need for an integrated model between tahfizh programs and systematic Arabic language instruction.

Abstract

Terorisme sebagai kejahatan luar biasa (extraordinary crime) menuntut penanganan represif yang luar biasa pula, salah satunya melalui pidana mati. Namun, pemberlakuan Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana Nasional (UU No. 1 Tahun 2023) telah menggeser status pidana mati menjadi pidana alternatif dengan masa percobaan 10 (sepuluh) tahun, yang berpotensi menciptakan kesenjangan antara kebutuhan keamanan nasional dan perlindungan hak asasi manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak pemberlakuan hukuman mati bagi pelaku tindak pidana terorisme di Indonesia serta mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala yuridis dan operasional dalam penerapannya di tengah perubahan regulasi. Menggunakan metode yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan (statute approach) dan pendekatan kasus (case approach), penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pidana mati berdampak ambivalen: di satu sisi efektif memutus rantai komando jaringan teror, namun di sisi lain berisiko memicu glorifikasi kemartiran dan transformasi modus operandi menjadi aksi lone wolf yang sporadis. Kendala utama penerapan pidana mati terletak pada kerentanan mekanisme masa percobaan 10 tahun terhadap manipulasi melalui taktik taqiyah (disimulasi) akibat ketiadaan indikator penilaian objektif dalam regulasi, serta kelemahan struktural sistem pemasyarakatan dan prosedur upaya hukum luar biasa yang tidak terbatas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa transisi paradigma dalam KUHP Nasional berpotensi melemahkan fungsi represif pidana mati. Oleh karena itu, direkomendasikan agar pembuat kebijakan dan aparat penegak hukum segera menyusun Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) dengan indikator asesmen psikologis yang rigid dan berlapis untuk menilai kelakuan baik terpidana terorisme secara akurat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep work-life balance dalam Surah Al-Jumu'ah ayat 9-10 melalui pendekatan komparatif (muq?ran) terhadap Tafsir Ibnu Katsir dan Tafsir Al-Misbah karya M. Quraish Shihab. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis isi (content analysis) terhadap kedua tafsir sebagai sumber primer, didukung literatur sekunder berupa tafsir klasik dan kontemporer, hadis, serta artikel ilmiah yang relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan memahami bagaimana dua mufassir dari periode yang berbeda memaknai perintah meninggalkan aktivitas ekonomi demi ibadah dalam ayat 9, serta perintah kembali bekerja dan mengingat Allah dalam ayat 10, dan bagaimana kedua penafsiran tersebut membentuk konsep keseimbangan antara kehidupan material dan spiritual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun Ibnu Katsir dan Shihab hidup dalam konteks zaman yang sangat berbeda, keduanya konsisten mengajarkan bahwa Islam tidak mempertentangkan kehidupan duniawi dengan kewajiban spiritual, melainkan mengaturnya dalam satu pola hidup yang seimbang dan bermakna. Ibnu Katsir menekankan pendekatan struktural dengan menetapkan batas hukum yang tegas antara waktu ibadah dan waktu bekerja, sementara Shihab menekankan pendekatan integratif bahwa dzikrullah dan kerja bukan dua aktivitas yang terpisah melainkan dua dimensi dari satu kehidupan yang utuh. Terdapat persamaan mendasar antara keduanya dalam memandang falah sebagai kesuksesan yang hanya bisa dicapai ketika seseorang mampu produktif secara duniawi sekaligus menjaga hubungan spiritualnya dengan Allah, serta perbedaan dalam metode penafsiran dan tingkat responsivitas terhadap perubahan sosial. Secara keseluruhan, ayat 9-10 Surah Al-Jumu'ah membentuk kerangka hidup yang holistik, di mana kerja keras dan ketaatan kepada Allah bukan dua hal yang saling meniadakan melainkan dua aspek yang saling menguatkan dalam kehidupan seorang Muslim.

Abstract

Aesthetic surgery is an increasingly significant sector in health tourism, offering strong potential to boost Indonesia’s economic growth. With abundant natural resources, skilled medical professionals, and cost-effective healthcare, Indonesia is well-positioned as a medical tourism destination in Asia. However, the lack of comprehensive policies on international patient safety, absence of globally recognized clinical accreditation, and limited government-led promotion hinder full market potential. This research adopts a literature review approach guided by the PCC (Population, Concept, Context) framework to define scope and selection criteria. Sources were obtained from Google Scholar, Scopus, BMC, Sage Publications, and other credible databases, and screened collaboratively by the authors to ensure thematic relevance. The review highlights key opportunities for Indonesia’s aesthetic surgery sector, including market growth potential and increasing global demand, while identifying critical gaps in accreditation systems, standardized service protocols, patient safety measures, and coordinated promotional strategies. Strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness requires integrated collaboration between health, tourism, and regulatory sectors. Implementing robust policy frameworks, aligning with global standards, and investing in targeted international marketing will be crucial to positioning Indonesia as a safe, high-quality, and competitive destination within Southeast Asia’s health tourism landscape.

Abstract

The pace of digital transformation in higher education also promotes universities to incorporate digital Human Resource Management (HRM) systems, such as AI-aided recruitment, digital performance management, and online learning platforms. But technological adoption is not enough to induce employees to create more innovation and better performance. This research investigated AI readiness as a strategic human capital capability that provides the organizational framework through which digital infrastructure and psychological climate are linked to innovative work outcomes among university lecturers. Based on the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capability Theory, the research assesses the associations between Digital HRM Capability, Digital Psychological Safety Climate, AI Readiness, and Innovative Work Performance. Data was obtained through a cross-sectional survey of Indonesian lecturers, using a quantitative explanatory design, and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings suggest that the positive relationships between the two factors of Digital HRM Capability and Digital Psychological Safety Climate in predicting AI Readiness will greatly boost Innovative Work Performance. In addition, AI Readiness mediates antecedent effects on Innovative Work Performance. These results suggest that successful university digital transformation is not merely about the deployment of technological platforms, but also the preparedness of staff to utilize AI and an environment that is psychologically supportive of digital experimentation.

Abstract

This study investigates how AI is accepted within human communication, using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a guiding framework. While TAM has been widely applied in fields such as e-commerce and healthcare, its application in AI-mediated communication (AI-MC) remains limited. This research aims to synthesize current research, identify dominant variables, and examine conceptual and methodological gaps in TAM’s use within AI communication contexts. Specifically, it seeks to explore how TAM has been applied to explain user interaction with AI as a communicative agent, rather than merely as a functional tool. Methods: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA 2020, which ensured a transparent and structured review process. A total of 158 eligible articles published between 2015 and 2024 were analyzed using narrative synthesis and bibliometric mapping. The findings show that TAM’s core constructs perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention remain dominant but are often insufficient to explain the social, emotional, and ethical dimensions of AI as a communicative partner. The results highlight the growing importance of additional factors such as trust in AI, perceived agency, transparency, and emotional appropriateness. The review also reveals an over-reliance on quantitative methods, with limited integration of communication theory. Conclusion: As a result, a new conceptual framework is proposed that integrates TAM with human communication concepts, emphasizing co-constructed meaning, social presence, and ethical interaction. This study concludes that understanding AI acceptance in communication requires an interdisciplinary model that goes beyond technical functionality to consider human-AI relational dynamics.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of organizational factors and parental engagement on pediatric nurse caring behavior and perceived hospital performance in Indonesian private hospitals. Despite global improvements in healthcare quality, challenges persist in maintaining high standards of nursing care, particularly in pediatrics, where parental involvement significantly affects patient outcomes. The research aims to identify how managerial support, nurse-nurse collaboration, doctor-nurse relationships, promotion of patient safety, and staffing/resources impact nurses’ caring behavior, mediated by parents’ education and involvement. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted with 104 pediatric nurses from five private hospitals, and data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate reliability, validity, and hypothesized relationships. Results indicate that pediatric nurse caring behavior is primarily influenced by parental involvement, which is enhanced by the promotion of patient safety and parental education. Managerial support, nurse-nurse collaboration, and doctor-nurse relationships showed limited direct effects on parental engagement. The findings highlight that structural and process factors, such as resource allocation and patient safety initiatives, indirectly improve hospital performance through increased parental participation and nurse caring behavior. The study concludes that hospital management should prioritize strategies fostering parental involvement, support nurses’ caring practices, and promote patient safety to enhance both perceived hospital performance and overall quality of pediatric care.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the integration of Islamic values, including akhlakul karimah, at-tasamuh, ar-rahmah, and al-adl, in learning as an effort to prevent bullying among junior high school students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at Muhammadiyah Imam Syuhodo Polokarto Junior High School. The research subjects consisted of the principal, Islamic religious education teachers, guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, and eighth-grade students. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis used an interactive analysis model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the phenomenon of bullying among students generally occurs in the forms of verbal and physical bullying triggered by excessive joking, peer pressure, and lack of emotional control. The integration of Islamic values in learning is carried out through the habituation of Islamic behavior, strengthening moral values in learning materials, and character-building activities at school. The implementation of the values of akhlakul karimah (good character), at-tasamuh (tolerance), ar-rahmah (mercy), and al-adl (justice) has been proven to shape students’ character to become more tolerant, empathetic, and respectful of others, thereby reducing the potential for bullying. This research demonstrates that integrating Islamic values into learning can be an effective character education strategy in creating a safe and conducive school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the governance and effectiveness of FAC preparedness at Airline X in Indonesia by focusing on three operational dimensions: spatial configuration, communication strategies, and support facilities. This research used a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with airline personnel, government agencies, emergency service providers, and trained FAC personnel, supported by focus group discussions and document review. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis based on Miles and Huberman’s framework, while spatial syntax analysis was applied to examine the layout, accessibility, and functional suitability of proposed FAC locations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Findings: The findings show that FAC readiness is shaped by the suitability of physical space, integrated multi-stakeholder communication, and adequate support infrastructure to ensure privacy, emotional care, family briefing, registration, information delivery, and logistical coordination. The study also found that Airline X’s FAC preparedness remains stronger at the planning and documentation level than at the operational capability level, particularly due to limited recurrent training, simulation, and practical experience in large-scale aviation emergency response. These findings are consistent with emergency management and organizational resilience perspectives, which emphasize that effective preparedness requires not only formal procedures but also trained personnel, coordinated roles, reliable communication systems, and operationally ready infrastructure. This study concludes that FAC governance should be institutionalized as an integral part of airline Emergency Response Plans through clearer procedures, regular exercises, defined coordination mechanisms, and facility standards aligned with family assistance principles.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses internalisasi nilai-nilai dasar BerAKHLAK dalam membentuk perilaku profesional Aparatur Sipil Negara (ASN) di Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Maluku Tengah. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya disiplin kerja ASN yang memicu diterbitkannya Surat Edaran Bupati Nomor 800/20/SE/2025 sebagai langkah penegakan disiplin. Penelitian bertujuan mengeksplorasi bagaimana ASN memahami, menerapkan, dan mewujudkan nilai BerAKHLAK dalam perilaku profesional, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat proses internalisasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus tunggal, menggunakan teknik triangulasi data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi untuk memperoleh data yang kredibel dan komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses internalisasi berlangsung melalui tiga tahapan utama: transformasi nilai, transaksi nilai, dan transinternalisasi nilai, yang menghasilkan tingkat perilaku profesional yang beragam antar unit kerja. Faktor pendukung mencakup keteladanan pimpinan, habituasi rutin, iklim organisasi yang harmonis, sistem kerja terstruktur, serta pelatihan dan pengembangan kompetensi. Hambatan mencakup perbedaan pemahaman kognitif, keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana, kendala anggaran, dan tantangan geografis. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa internalisasi nilai BerAKHLAK secara signifikan meningkatkan perilaku profesional ASN ketika nilai tersebut melekat sebagai standar moral pribadi, sehingga penguatan aspek afektif sangat penting untuk tercapainya profesionalisme yang berkelanjutan.
