Abstract

Marital infidelity is one of the main causes of the increasing divorce rate in Indonesia. Despite being a religious society, the high number of cases of marital betrayal in Indonesia indicates a moral crisis and a weakening awareness of Islamic values. This study uses Stuart Hall's approach to media representation to analyse the film Ipar Adalah Maut as an Islamic da'wah medium representing the problem of infidelity, in relation to the da'wah communication concepts of bil hal, bil hikmah and bil lisan. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through documentation, a literature study and non-participatory observation. Qualitative analysis was conducted using semiotic and interpretative approaches. The results showed that the film conveys moral and religious messages through three representational strategies: reflective, intentional and constructionist. The scenes convey da'wah messages symbolically and emotionally, illustrating the destructive impact of infidelity and the importance of maintaining social boundaries in Islam. Da'wah bil hal is exemplified by an Islamic family, da'wah bil hikmah by a moving storyline, and da'wah bil lisan by the dialogue and prayers of the protagonist. Overall, this film successfully conveys Islamic da'wah values in a contextual manner, establishing it as a relevant and effective modern medium for da'wah communication.

Abstract

The accelerating demands for environmental accountability, operational transparency, and resource efficiency have placed maritime ports at the center of a critical transition. Traditionally governed by linear logistics and fragmented governance structures, port ecosystems face increasing pressure to align with global sustainability targets such as the European Green Deal and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This paper introduces the Blockchain-enabled Circular Port Management (BCPM) framework—a novel, systems-based approach to digitally transform maritime port operations through blockchain technology. By embedding circular economy principles within blockchain-enabled data architectures, BCPM fosters transparency, trust, and lifecycle accountability across diverse port stakeholders. Drawing on a mixed-methods research design that includes case analysis, stakeholder interviews, and system modeling, the study demonstrates the empirical viability of the BCPM framework in enhancing material traceability, reducing transactional friction, and optimizing port circularity metrics. The findings offer both theoretical advancement and actionable guidance for port authorities, regulators, and supply chain actors seeking to operationalize sustainability through digital innovation. The paper concludes with a roadmap for implementation and identifies key areas for future research, including governance interoperability, real-time monitoring, and incentive alignment within port-centric blockchain ecosystems.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of profitability (ROA), liquidity (Current Ratio), growth potential, and managerial ownership on dividend policy in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020–2024. A quantitative research approach was applied using panel data from annual financial reports. The dependent variable, dividend policy, is proxied by Dividend per Share (DPS), while the independent variables include ROA, CR, growth potential, and managerial ownership. The data analysis method employed is multiple linear regression using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The findings reveal that profitability and managerial ownership significantly affect dividend policy, indicating that companies with higher profitability and greater ownership by management are more likely to distribute dividends. On the other hand, liquidity and growth potential do not show a significant relationship with dividend policy. These results suggest that internal financial strength and the alignment of interests between management and shareholders are key determinants of dividend decisions in the energy sector. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of dividend policy determinants and offers practical implications for investors, company executives, and policymakers.

Abstract

Religious tolerance constitutes an essential foundation for maintaining the unity and cohesion of Indonesia’s pluralistic society. This study provides an in-depth examination of the nature of interreligious tolerance, its relevance to religious, cultural, humanitarian, social, historical, and ethical values, as well as the current challenges in its implementation within society. In Indonesia, religious diversity is not merely a social reality but also a constitutional mandate that affirms freedom of religion as a fundamental right of every citizen. The teachings of Islam and other religions position mutual respect as a fundamental principle in social interactions. However, various incidents of intolerance indicate that there remains a gap between ideal norms and everyday practices. Through a comprehensive understanding of the concept of tasamuh (tolerance), cultural values, and historical exemplars, this research underscores the importance of strengthening religious moderation as a strategy to foster social harmony. Religious moderation is viewed as a collective endeavor involving the government, religious leaders, and the broader community to instill mutual respect without compromising each individual’s core beliefs. Thus, tolerance is not merely a passive compromise but an active effort to build sustainable social harmony in pursuit of a sovereign, just, and civilized nation.

Abstract

The Mecca Park in Pasuruan City is a religious tourism destination with strategic potential but faces the problem of a lack of adequate visual information systems. This study aims to design a comprehensive and effective Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) as an information medium to improve the quality of visual services and tourist experiences. The research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the Sugiyono model simplified into 7 stages. The research subjects consisted of 10 respondents for the small-scale trial and 82 respondents for the large-scale trial. The design concept developed is "Islamic Heritage & Spiritual Elegance" which is in line with the religious characteristics of the destination. The EGD system includes five main components: directional signs, informational signs, regulatory signs, orientation signs, and identification signs using a black-gold-white color scheme, League Spartan and DM Sans typography, and weather-resistant Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) material. The results of the validation test by media experts and material experts showed a score of 93% with a "very feasible" category. The trial resulted in a feasibility level of 95% on a small scale and 89.2% on a large scale, both in the "very feasible" category. The implementation of EGD has successfully addressed the visual information issues in accordance with the Regulation of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism No. 3 of 2018, and has contributed to improving the tourist experience and developing religious tourism destinations based on religious and cultural values.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly changed people's communication patterns, especially among Gen Z, known as the digital native generation. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of social media utilization on the communication patterns of students in the Digital Communication and Media Study Program, IPB Vocational School. The research approach used was quantitative with a survey method of 179 respondents. Data collection techniques were carried out through online questionnaires, while data analysis techniques included descriptive statistical tests, multiple linear regression tests, and hypothesis testing to examine the influence of independent variables on communication patterns. The results of the study indicate that social media utilization has a significant influence on student communication patterns, especially in aspects of interactivity, accelerating information dissemination, and expanding communication reach. Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube play an important role in supporting students to interact more effectively in the digital era. Individual characteristics such as age, gender, and pocket money do not have a significant influence on student communication patterns. Based on the results of the regression test, the variable of social media utilization has a significance value <0.05, which indicates a real influence on students' digital communication patterns. This study concludes that social media contributes positively in facilitating communication in the digital era, especially for digital communication and media students. Optimizing the wise use of social media is expected to improve the effectiveness of academic and social communication. Research recommendations suggest that students utilize social media productively and educational institutions integrate digital platforms into the learning process to support more interactive and efficient academic interactions.
