Abstract

With UAV (Unmaned Aerial Vehicle) technology, surveillance functions that are usually carried out by humans are simply replaced with cameras mounted on the UAV. The results can be seen on the display control station on the GCS (Ground Control Station) system. To transmit data from the drone to the GCS, a good wireless network is required. To get a good wireless network, it is necessary to choose the right device. One of the important devices used in a network is a router. So knowledge about router performance is needed in order to determine a good router to be used on UAV and on GCS. The router that was tested for its performance in this study was the RB 3011 UiAS-RM with RB 450 Gx4. The tests were carried out using the no-load and with-load bandwidth testing methods using the traffic generator feature. From the test results, it can be concluded that the RB 3011 UiAS-RM and 450 Gx4 routers have performance that is not much different. This can be seen from the results of the no-load bandwidth test. The RB 3011 UiAS-RM router has a better uplink than the RB 450 Gx4. While the RB 450 Gx4 router has a better downlink than the RB 3011 UiAS-RM. However, when viewed from the load in the test, the RB 3011 UiAS-RM is better (CPU Load=52%) than the RB 450 Gx4 (CPU Load=25%).

Abstract

In general, the design of the young coconut peeler machine is to use an induction motor that still uses a manual system to turn the tool on and off, so it is not efficient in the production process of peeling young coconut. The speed of the induction motor can be adjusted by changing the frequency, therefore a Variable Speed ​​Drive (VSD) is needed which aims to regulate the rotational speed of the induction motor. As the controller of the Variable Speed ​​Drive (VSD), the compiler uses a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). From the description of the background above, a young coconut peeler based on PLC and HMI was designed. This system uses PLC control as a control for variations in the rotation speed of the motor, so that the rotation of the induction motor can be controlled as needed, in this tool an HMI system is applied which functions as an interface display from the operator to the peeler. In this study using 4 stages, namely (1) a needs survey, (2) designing (3) prototypes, (4) testing prototypes. In the trial results, the simulation of the coconut peeler design went well by using low, medium, high speed variations using the human marchine interface as the display of the variable speed button, while the PLC as the control machine.)

Abstract

The Indonesian region, which has a tropical climate and has a wide sea, is one of the factors that make the population a fisherman. Fishermen from Pasuruan Regency, especially Lekok Village, are one of the producers of high quality marine products so that production reaches foreign exports. This study aims to develop the productivity of marine products in Lekok District, Pasuruan Regency which is constrained by the process of drying fish. Using research methods of literature and empirical studies, an automatic fish drying machine is designed by utilizing a hot air blower which is controlled by a thermistor and accompanied by a rotating system so that the results resemble manual drying using solar radiation. From the results of data analysis and system testing, it shows that the quality of fish that is dried with a rotary system is more effective than drying machines in general, such as the rack type because the results of drying fish are more even. The test results for the drying process require a temperature setting of 45-50 degrees within 220 minutes to reach a moisture content of 0.38% with a drying machine capacity of 32.5 kilograms.

Abstract

The reliability of the electric power system is very important in the continuity of the supply of electrical energy to the load. One of the important parts in the electric power system is the transformer. Maintaining the reliability of the transformer is an effort to make electrical energy channeled properly. For this reason, efforts are needed to evaluate whether the transformer is in good condition or not by using the Weibull distribution. By looking at the average failure rate, the MTTF value is used as a benchmark for reliability. It is based on the number of disturbances that cause the transformer to fail to operate. The results of the reliability analysis with the Weibull distribution on distribution transformers in the Rungkut ULP area during the time span from 2019, 2020, 2021 obtained an average failure rate of 18.321894% per year, with an MTTF value of 0.054579 per year, so the value reliability obtained 0.981. So according to Croanbach alpha, this value belongs to a very reliable level.

Abstract

A furnace is a tool for heating materials, oil, and so on, which usually uses gas, coal, and oil as fuel. Temperature is the main parameter that needs to be controlled in order to remain stable, precise, and of course improve fuel efficiency. As technology develops, there are several methods that can be used to control temperatures that are more reliable than conventional controls. The technology is Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller. PID controllers have been proven to be the best controllers and are widely used in industry. But to determine the gain from the PID value is still not accurate and can affect temperature stability, the response is also still slow to reach the desired set point. Therefore, this paper is to simulate a better PID gain value by using the artificial intelligence tuning method. The artificial intelligence method is Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). The simulation results and discussion show that the best design is PID-ACO with 0.0081 overshot, no undershot, and the fastest settling time is 35 seconds

Abstract

Often electronic equipment is damaged due to a sudden power outage. This often happens due to uncertain natural conditions, forcing PLN to carry out maintenance on its electricity distribution equipment. In addition, many electrical equipment can be damaged by sudden power outages. To be able to overcome this, people usually use generator to overcome supply failures manually. Based on this background, the author created an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) – Automatic Main Faillure (AMF) based on the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller which is applied to generators when there is a power outage. The ATS – AMF device is made using Relays, PZEM004T Voltage Sensors, magnetic contactors, Miniature Circuit Breakers, stepdown circuits, LCD TFT and STM32F103C8T6 as control systems. This system uses the Fault Tolerance method so that the system can continue to run even if there is damage to the main battery by adding a backup battery as a backup. The results of this study, the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) circuit found that the average time needed for the generator to start is 2.5 seconds and the time needed for the generator to produce a stable voltage is 5.7 seconds, thus this time is used as the author's reference in determining the right time to switch the load on the microcontroller so that the load is not damaged due to unstable generator voltage. Whereas in the Automatic Main Failure (AMF) it was found that the Stepdown circuit used to detect whether or not PLN electricity was very responsive because the stepdown circuit was installed in parallel at the PLN source and can be proven by the results in the Arduino application.

Abstract

In the event of a short circuit interruption it is still very worrying where there are still many problems with protection equipment that does not work properly. In field conditions, the transformer at GIS Karangpilang often fails to disconnect the feeder. Based on this incident, it will be discussed how to coordinate the relay between incoming and Lakarsantri feeders. The calculation results from the working time of the relay feeder are 0.3 seconds with the working time on the incoming part being 0.68 seconds. Based on data from GIS Karangpilang, the working time of the relay in the feeder section was 0.41 seconds and 0.69 seconds in the incoming section with a fault current of 4.5 kA showing good results. In the short circuit simulation results, the manual calculation data and the data obtained from the Karangpilang GIS are not much different, where the working time of the relay feeder is 0.11 seconds faster than the incoming working time, with a time of 0.7 seconds which is in accordance with the relay settings.

Abstract

This Android-Based Solar Panel Current and Voltage Monitoring System is intended to be implemented properly by companies or factories where the monitoring system can be carried out in real time and anywhere using Android. This prototype is made using a 30WP solar panel and uses a buck converter as a voltage reducer that enters from the panel which then the current and voltage will be read by the INA219 sensor which is then processed by Arduino so that it can be displayed by Blynk on Android which is of course connected to each other by the internet. This design is also designed when there is an overvoltage there will be a danger alarm notification via a buzzer that sounds. This test is carried out when in charge and discharge conditions which will later be displayed on the blynk when the battery voltage is low or the battery is full so that the charge and discharge process can be carried out by pressing the on or off button on the blynk so that the load will be in two conditions, namely on and off. The battery is in low condition if the voltage is less than 12.3 volts then there will be a notification tone on the blynk, while the battery is in full condition, namely at a voltage of 13.5 volts it will also display a notification which can be displayed by the blynk.

Abstract

Abstract - The rooftop of the University of Muhammadiyah Surabaya Integrated Laboratory building which has an area of ​​210 m2 can be used as a solar power plant (PLTS). Installing PLTS in buildings has several advantages, namely as a long-term energy investment and easy to integrate with the grid electrical system. PLTS is designed to save electricity consumption. In addition, if PLTS is connected to a battery, it can meet some of the energy needs at night. To design a PLTS installation in the Integrated Laboratory building, this research uses technical and economic analysis methods. Technical analysis is carried out to determine the capacity and number of PV mini-grid components required for installation. While the economic analysis aims to calculate the investment costs and the length of time for the return on investment compared to buildings without PV mini-grid installations. Based on this research, the results show that the amount of energy required for the Integrated Laboratory building is 482.148 kWh, while the planned PLTS is able to provide energy of 216,128 kWh. The PLTS design requires an initial investment of Rp. 927,700,894,-. So by using the Payback Period (PP) method, it can be concluded that the planned design is feasible, because the comparison of the cost of return on investment is 9.13 years faster than the project age that has been determined previously, which is 20 years.

Abstract

Technological developments have penetrated various fields, including motor vehicle safety. The manufacturer's standard locking system is deemed insufficient to protect motorized vehicles from theft. A combination of software and hardware is required to create an additional security system. The purpose of this research is to design and build a motorcycle safety device using IoT-based GPS. The system is designed when a forced vibration occurs in the ignition zone, a warning message is sent via the Blynk application and the horn sounds. To turn on the machine, you can via the widget in the Blynk application, the Contacts button is ON, then press the Machine ON to turn off the machine by pressing the Contacts OFF button in the Blynk application. To detect the location of a smartphone-controlled motorcycle with the Blynk application. The design of this tool uses several components, namely the SW-420 vibration sensor as an engine warning indicator sensor, the Neo6mv2 GPS sensor as a coordinate sensor, using the NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller to process data and communicate with a WiFi modem and use a relay as a control button to turn on and off the engine, turn on horn. All components require a 5V supply voltage from a 12V motor battery, this voltage is reduced to 5V with the LM2596 module.
