Artikel yang dimuat pada Jurnal Pusat Inovasi Masyarakat (JPIM) berhubungan dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi deskripsi inovasi, praktik, dan perubahan kondisi masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa karya ilmiah yang berisi penerapan hasil penelitian dan atau pengembangan IPTEKS (inovasi). Klasifikasi hasil penelitian yang dapat diterapkan langsung dan dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat pengguna, berupa: 1) Pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dalam rangka memberdayakan masyarakat; 2) Teknologi tepat guna yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam rangka meningkatkan taraf hidup dan kesejahteraan masyarakat; 3)Model penyelesaian masalah, rekayasa sosial, dan/atau rekomendasi kebijakan yang dapat diterapkan langsung oleh masyarakat, dunia usaha, industri, dan/atau Pemerintah; atau 4) Hak kekayaan intelektual (HKI) yang berorientasi pada pengembangan komunitas.

Abstract

Boundaries of the village is the boundary of government administration between villages which is a series of coordinate points that are on the surface of the earth can be signs of nature such as mountains, rivers or artificial elements (roads, railroads, channels Irrigation, and boundary pillars) in the form of maps. The process of mapping the RW scale landuse in Cikesik village is done in two stages, namely the observation phase and map making stage. The observation phase is conducted for three days starting from 7 – 10 June 2019, observation is done to ensure the boundaries and potential of village in Ciagic village. The map making phase was conducted on 11 – 20 June 2019. The area of Ciagic village with scale mapping method Ciagic village is dominated by rice fields. The area covered as a tree of 47.15 hectares, a residential area of 18.95 ha, and a paddy field area of 56.73 ha differs from the area of Ciarate village, which is calculated through the RW scale mapping calculation method. The village scale mapping method gained an area of 697.31 hectares for trees, 79.72 hectares for settlements, and 572.05 ha for paddy fields. Abstract

The Community Service program is a form of concern from institutions, especially the Bogor Agriculture Institute, for the people of Indonesia. The concentration of IPB in general is in the development of the agricultural sector especially Agribusiness for Sumedang Regency. Therefore, in 2019 one of the community service programs was carried out in the Paseh Kidul Village, which was expected to show the contribution of students in empowering local resources in increasing the potential of agriculture, the economy, animal husbandry, and existing human resources. This activity aims to optimize the economic potential, human resources, and natural resources, especially in the development of agribusiness-based Micro Small and Medium Enterprises. The products that have been produced will later be able to develop into MSMEs, so that hopes for the future can create jobs and can improve people's welfare. Abstract

Agricultural waste can be in the form of unused waste material and waste material from processing. Gunturmekar Village, Sumedang Regency is a village that mostly earns a living as a farmer. Many people, especially rice processors, do not make optimal use of rice husks. Therefore, this husk processing activity intends to utilize the husk into something of high value so that it can be reused for agriculture including being used as a planting medium. The target of this activity is rice processors with the aim of increasing the value of rice husks, increasing the income of rice processors and improving the community's economy, especially rice processors. The results of this activity are the creation of new products, namely husk charcoal used for soil softening, compost-making material, bokashi fertilizer, planting media, and nursery media. The benefits of husk charcoal stimulate the growth of microorganisms, regulate soil pH, retain moisture, and suppress pathogenic microbes. Based on the evaluation, the whole husk processing activities went well. This activity can increase the added value of the husk product. However, there are several obstacles in its processing, namely the tools used in making husk charcoal are still very simple and produce enough smoke so that it can cause air pollution that can disturb the surrounding environment. Therefore, the tools used to make husk charcoal need to be improved. In addition, this husk processing activity has only been carried out in two hamlets, so it is necessary to introduce this husk processing to people who are in other hamlets in Gunturmekar Village. Abstract

House decreases more and more especially in urban areas and there are even houses that do not have a house. Though the yard is very beneficial for nature and society. One way to use the yard is to make a vertical garden. Vertical garden is an agricultural method that utilizes vertical space. Vertical space is a potential land when horizontal space (land) is increasingly limited. The vertical garden training program in Padaasih Village is a socialization and training program for making vertical gardens using home yards. The vertical garden training activity aims to increase public knowledge, especially housewives, in the making and benefits of vertical gardens. Aimed at housewives because it is the right target to find out how to manufacture and benefit from verticalgarden. This dedication activity can increase the knowledge of Padaasih Village community about the importance of using the yard through a vertical garden training program. The program ran smoothly because the number of PKK attendees was 15 and represented each hamlet and the program was completed in accordance with the planned time. Judging from the post-test that was distributed from those who initially did not know how to make a vertical garden into a tofu and 2 residents had applied it in their respective homes. Abstract

One form of effort that is possible to be done by housewives without is entrepreneurship in making chips. Chips that are often found among people are banana chips because they have good prospects and are very easy to find, especially in Indonesia. During this time, the community has not utilized the banana plant as a whole and only focused on the fruit. In fact, many are used from banana plants, one of which is banana peel. Banana peels only become organic waste that has a large amount. Through this community service, there will be a direct socialization and demonstration on the use of banana peels as a way of economic development in Padanaan Village, Paseh District, Sumedang Regency. This service in making processed chips from banana peels has a positive impact. In addition to increasing the economic value of banana weevil, it also provides benefits to partners, namely increasing the skills and knowledge of partners related to the production of processed products from banana trees, this activity gained positive enthusiasm in the activity and then made banana peel chips as a business opportunity for Padanaan Village. Abstract

Taro is one of the leading commodities in Situ Gede village. Situ Gede, an urban village, is one of Bogor City's villages, which has potential as an agrotourism region. The potential of Situ Gede village in support of the agrotourism program has never been documented, so the aim of this activity is to examine the potential of Situ Gede village in supporting agrotourism. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with quantitative instruments. Based on the study results, farmers are the principal livelihood of the Situ Gede area. With the population distribution at the productive age of 25-39 years, the area of land used for agriculture is 46.32 per cent. The sum of taro production in Situ Gede village gives total production in Bogor City of 34%. Keywords: agrotourism, Situ Gede Village, taro

Abstract

Covid-19 outbreak was present in the community in 2020 which brought serious attention to the government. The negative impact not only on health problems, but also affects the economy of the country and even the world. This topic will discuss village development planning related to the country's economy before and during the Covid-19 outbreak. The purpose of this study was to analyze community participation in the development planning of Cihideung Ilir Village during the Covid-19 outbreak. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by describing the phenomena and the existing literature. Many professions have been disturbed by the Covid-19 outbreak. The findings of this study suggest that awareness to community participation in promoting village development is the beginning of the community's economic prosperity during the Covid-19 outbreak. The factors that influence participation in the community include gender, age, educational level, employment and income, and the period of residency in an area. Abstract

Taro is one of the most cultivated plant in Bogor. One of the area that routinely producing taro is Situ Gede. There are two types of taro that commonly cultivated, belitung’s taro (Xanthosoma sagittifolium) and bogor’s taro (Colocasia esculenta L.). In Situ Gede, they only cultivating belitung’s taro (Xanthosoma sagittifolium). Planting and cultivating taro is not hard but the uncorrect way to cultivate taro can cause the yield not at its maximum. It still need a proper way of cultivation to gain maximum yield. This writing aims to know the cultivation technique and the characteristic of belitung taro (Xanthosoma dagittifolium) which is cultivated by the community of RW 01, Situ Gede village. This activity held in RW 01 Situ Gede on 19 of February 2020 to 3 of March 2020. The data’s taken with interviewing and observing the real situation. The data will be compared to literature with the same topic. The process of taro cultivation in Situ Gede village starts from the preparation of planting material which is propagated by itself from tubers, making beds, organic and inorganic fertilizing with different intervals, weeding and land disposal process for the purpose of production. Taro saplings are not discarded but are used for taro propagation. In general, the cultivation techniques applied in Situ Gede are in accordance with the literature and some taro farming practices in other areas. Abstract

Taro (Colocasia esculenta L.) is a plant that has many benefits for human life. Starting from the leaves to the tubers which are widely used as medicine and for food. It is undeniable that taro leaves have many benefits, but it is unfortunate that many farmers still lack the use of taro leaves due to pest damages. This study aims to determine the infestation of locust pests (Oxya spp.) on taro plants (Colocasia esculenta L.) in Situ Gede Village, West Bogor District, Bogor City, which is located in the land owned by Mr. Amran, one of the farmers there. The time of the research is 2 weeks, starting from 20 February 2020 until 3 March 2020. This research was conducted by survey method or by direct observation at the research location. The results of the study of the percentage of locust pest (Oxya spp.) on taro plants (Colocasia esculenta L.) in Situ Gede Sub-District, West Bogor District, Bogor City is 35.5%. Abstract

Yam bean is important product in Bogor for fresh consumption and fermented food. However, evaluation on yam bean production is rare in Bogor. The application of good cultivation techniques is important in order to produce optimal yield to meet market demands. The study aimed to evaluate the cultivation system applied by farmers in Situgede Village, Bogor, West Java. Data were collected through interviews, field observations, and literature review. Based on interviews and field observations, there were variation among farmers in plant spacing, land area, type of fertilizer used, and productivity. Farmers still faced lack of skill on good cultivation techniques in order to obtain optimum productivity, as well as lack of information from experts in the field on cultivation method and plant diseases so that determined the effectiveness in yam cultivation.
