Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains siswa dan mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada materi zat aditif di kelas VIII Negeri 40 Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, metode tes, dan metode angket. Observasi berupa data keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, tes berupa data pretest dan posttest, angket berupa respon siswa. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-F dan VIII-G SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya yang berjumlah masing-masing kelas 30 siswa. Berdasarkan pengamatan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada kelas VIII-F dan VIII-G memperoleh skor rata-rata yang sama, pada pertemuan pertama skor rata-rata sebesar 3,8,  pertemuan kedua skor rata-rata sebesar 3,9 dan keduanya masuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Keterampilan proses sains siswa mengalami peningkatan terbukti dari hasil pretest dan posttest yang meningkat. Berdasarkan persentase N-Gain peningkatan keterampilan proses sains kelas VIII-F dan VIII-G memperoleh hasil yang sama sebesar 66,7% termasuk kriteria tinggi dan 33,3% termasuk kriteria sedang. Siswa kelas VIII-F dan VIII-G memberikan respon sangat baik sebesar 85% terhadap pembelajaran berbasis masalah pada materi zat aditif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini pada penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya.   Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Keterampilan Proses Sains Siswa, Zat Aditif.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada sub materi pencemaran air untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 3 Sidoarjo pada kelas VIII-J dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 32. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang dibatasi sampai pada tahap develop (Pengembangan). Hasil penelitian keefektifan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dapat ditinjau dari hasil analisis pre-test dan post-test siswa. Analisis hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 13 siswa memperoleh nilai n-gain dalam kategori tinggi dan 19 siswa memperoleh n-gain dengan kategori sedang. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbingpada sub materi pencemaran air dinyatakan layak digunakan berdasarkan aspek kelayakan efektivitas.   Kata Kunci: KeefektifanLKS, Inkuiri Terbimbing, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis.

Abstract

This study aimed to produced an educational game media called Molydo of Temperature and Heat (MTH) on the heat and heat transfer material to improve student learning outcomes. The effectiveness of MTH-game was assessed in terms of the improvement of students’learning outcomes. The research method used was Research and Development with the One Group Pretest-Posttest trial design. MTH-game was trialed on 32 grade VII students at SMPN 1 Madiun. Data collection techniques used in this study weretests consisting of a pretest and a posttest. The average of students’ pretest results before learning and using MTH-game was 52.75. For the posttest results, students obtained an average score of 84.50 with a percentage of completeness of 90.60%. In addition,the average N-Gain score for 32 students was 0.69 which was in the medium category. So, MTH-game waseffective in improved student learning outcomes. Keywords: MTH-game, learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the Effectiveness of Student Worksheet Based on Guided Inquiry Learning to Facilitate Student’s Higher Order Thinking Skills. The data collection method was obtained from the test method with the type of one group pretest-posttest design research. The subject was conducted in class VIII C SMP Negeri 3 Burneh with 25 students. The effectiveness to Facilitate Student’s Higher Order Thinking Skills showed by N-gain score and student’s activities. The result of the average score of students in the pre-test 26.16 while the post-test 74.66 with n-Gain 0.65 in the medium category then the results of observations of student's activities showed that the relevant activities were more dominant in each successive meeting by 94,51%, 95,29%, 98,25%,. The conclusion of this research is the Student Worksheet Based on the Guided Inquiry Learning to Facilitate Student’s Higher Order Thinking Skills declared feasible in terms of effectiveness. Abstract

The research aims to identify the presentation of elements of basic science process skills and integrated science process skills in science textbooks for Class VII SMP on temperature and its changes. This study uses a qualitative description analysis. The object of research in this study was the Eksplorasi Ilmu Alam 1 book, IPA Terpadu Kelas VII book and Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Kurikulum 2013 book selected by judgment sampling. The instrument used to collect data in this study was to use an instrument of the elements of science process skills on the topic of temperature and its changes. The data collection technique used is literature study. Data analysis techniques in research using content analysis. The results showed that the elements of science process skills have been presented well even though there are elements that have not been fulfilled elements of defining operational variables. The element of SPS that appears the most is the element of observing which is the most basic skill in conducting an experiment. With this research, it is hoped that teachers will have many references in improving student KPS and not just referring to one book.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences in comic and science elements in educational comic books as an alternative to teaching materials in Gramedia Surabaya, Indonesia. This type of research is qualitative research. This study uses a comic content study approach (content analysis). The data sources studied in this study were four comic books with educational comic book types and had the same material, namely the material of the solar system. The four comic books are the Educomics Book: Space Britannica Education Series, Science Adventure Book: Earth and Space Vol 3. Sun, Earth, Moon and Stars, Planets in the Solar System, the Universe Science Adventure Comic Educomics Book, and the Science Book Comic: Why? Universe (Universe). The concept of the solar system that is studied is only on the sub-material components of the solar system. Based on the results obtained from this study, it is known that the Educomics Book of the Britannica Antariksa Education Series has elements of comics and science as alternative teaching materials, the Science Comic: Why? The Universe (Universe) also has elements of comics and science but has a slight flaw in the concept of Earth, while the other two comics lack some elements.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' responses to the application of guided inquiry learning models on heat material and its displacement. This research uses qualitative research using literature review method. The research instrument used a student response questionnaire distributed to 30 MTs students. The data collection techniques used were in the form of interview techniques and questionnaire techniques for student responses to the application of the guided inquiry learning model. The data obtained in this study will be analyzed by calculating the percentage results of each student response questionnaire result, so that the positive and negative responses of students are known. The results obtained showed more positive responses than students' negative responses to the application of the guided inquiry model, positive responses were almost obtained in every statement except in statement 8 regarding students having no difficulty when making hypotheses / assumptions while in books and student worksheets obtained a balanced response between positive response and negative response

Abstract

This study aims to describe effectiveness of creative thinking training in junior high school science learning through guided inquiry. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method by analyzing four training practices for creative thinking skills in science-based guided inquiry learning that had been carried out by previous researchers. Object of research in this study is an article or journal related to guided inquiry-based learning to improve creative thinking skills in junior high school science learning. Data collection technique used literature study. Data analysis technique in this study used content analysis techniques. Results obtained from this study are the research of Kurniati et al. (2018) dan Suhartini et al. (2016) more effective in training students' creative thinking in science learning based on guided inquiry, by practicing all aspects of creative thinking which are then aligned with the guided inquiry stage. Meanwhile, the two other studies have shortcomings because the creative thinking aspect is not trained as a whole and there are aspects of creative thinking that are not in line with the guided inquiry stage.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the design and implementation of diagnostic assessments in 3 junior high schools based on school quality categories. The research design used a qualitative descriptive. Subjects in this study were teachers in natural science subjects at 3 junior high schools in Menganti, Gresik. The selection of this school was based on the school quality category, namely SMP Negeri 29 Gresik with A accreditation, SMP Sunan Giri Menganti with A accreditation, and MTs Salafiyah Menganti Gresik with B accreditation. This research method used a qualitative descriptive method using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. on google form media. The data analysis technique in this study used namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results in this study are that all-Natural Science subject teachers in all these schools have implemented a diagnostic assessment before the learning process during the Covid -19pandemic and are in accordance with the rules of the Ministry of Education and Culture 2020. The design of diagnostic assessment carried out by teacher is in the form of test sheets and interviews. to students. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation and diagnostic design are not based on good quality schools, but depend on the teacher's understanding the importance of this assessment which makes science teachers in the 3 schools implement diagnostic assessments with the aim of helping students better understand the material and support achievement. learning objectives during the Covid -19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes by using scientific skill process on student worksheet. The research design uses in this study was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research is test to student on IX class at JHS 3 Tuban with total 32 students in one class. The data collection method uses in this research is the test method. The knowledge test is pretest to determine the initial ability of student and posttest to determine the final ability of student after being given treatment. The skill test is in the form of integrated scientific skill process in terms of 7 aspects. The learning outcomes of knowledge are classified as medium N-Gain, namely 0,36. The learning outcomes of knowledge are obtained by 24 students who experinced an increase in learning outcomes, 5 students did not change learning outcomes, and 3 students experinced a decrease in learning outcomes. Learning outcomes of integrated scientific skill process show better result than learning outcomes of knowledge. Learning outcomes of integrated scientific skill process, namely 85,04 are included in the very good criteria. This is due to the enthusiasm and motivation of student when participating in practical learning. The conclusion of this study is scientific skill process on student worksheet is able to improve learning outcomes in the knowledge dimension and learning outcomes in the dimensions of integrated scientific skill process.
