Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity of the solar system animation learning media used in STAD learning. The subject of this research is the animation media that includes material for the junior high school solar system. The validity of the animation media is determined based on the validation results sheet which is assessed by experts. Analysis of the results of the validation was carried out using a quantitative descriptive method by giving an assessment by experts who were then known to score mode and media criteria. Animation media has several aspects to be assessed, namely general aspects, material aspects, audio-visual aspects, and technical aspects. The assessment from the experts shows that the validation sheet of the solar system animation media in STAD learning has a score of 4 which shows very valid criteria. This shows that the Solar System animation media is appropriate to be used in STAD learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This research aims to develop innovative media in the learning of the students in form of ethnoscience booklet in the region of Ponorogo for junior high school students in sub material of sound wave. Ethnoscience media booklet is one of the learning support materials of students that associate the sound wave material with tone alignment technique on traditional music instruments of gong, boning, and saron in Ponorogo. Type of research used is R&D (Research and Development), namely potential analysis and problem stage, data collection, booklet design, media validation, and media revision. Instrument validation of media ethnoscience booklet uses material validation sheets and media validation sheets of ethnoscience booklet. The material validation sheets of ethnoscience booklet is assessed of content feasibility, linguistic, presentation technique, and ethnoscience orientation. For a while, the media validation is composed of cover design and content design. The validation result shows the cover design gets 95%, content design gets 96%, content feasibility aspect gets 98%, linguistic 91%, presentation technique 92%, and ethnoscience orientation gets 96%. In this study, it can be concluded that the ethnoscience booklet based on assessment of material expert and media expert with the tendency of criteria is very feasible to be used as learning media.

Abstract

The research that has been conducted aims to describe the validity of context-based inquiry learning tools in enhancing the ability of students to understand the concept of light The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The research data was obtained from the results of validation conducted by two science lecturers and one junior high school science teacher. In the RPP containing 12 aspects of validity, a score 4 mode was obtained with valid criteria and in the LKS which contained aspects of content, language aspects, presentation aspects and suitability aspects. learning models get a score mode of 5 with very valid criteria. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the validity of the context-based inquiry learning tool is valid in improving students' ability to understand the concept of light.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the validation of the Truth and Dare card game for seventh grade junior high school students on environmental pollution material. The media created are used to improve the learning outcomes of the remaining junior high schools based on validity, practicality and effectiveness. This research is a research development using the Research and Development (R&D) method which consists of five stages namely determination of potential and problems, information gathering, product design, review and revision, and validation. The data generated in the form of the results of the study sheet and the results of the validation sheet with 4 criteria namely linguistic criteria, presentation criteria, content criteria, and criteria for game functions. The Truth and Dare card game media review sheet aims to find things that are considered inappropriate for the Truth and Dare card game media. The results of the review sheets that have been reviewed are the linguistic criteria to reproduce the questions containing the C3 and C4 domains and the content criteria to adjust the game card points to the question domain. On the validation, sheet knows the validator's assessment of the level of eligibility or validity of the Truth and Dare card game media. In the validation sheet results obtained mode of 4 with a very decent category and a percentage of the validity of 97.6% with a very valid category. Then it can be concluded that the media of Truth and Dare card games as learning media on environmental pollution material is suitable for use in learning based on the results of studies and validation.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the enhancement of students' science process skills with the application of guided inquiry model. The design used in the study was pre-experimental design with a research draft of one group pre-test post-test. Research was carried out with the subject of two classes VIII at MTs Hasyim Ash'ari Sukodono, where the first class had 32 students, and the second class had 36 students. This research was conducted in MTs Hasyim Asy'ari Sukodono because there has been no research in the school before, with the different time allocations from other schools, that is 4x35 minutes, where the curriculum determines the allocation of learning time 5x40 minutes and has not been established learning science process skills. Data collection techniques in the form of a question description that corresponds to the science process skills indicator. The result is the submission of science process skills, the percentage of achievement of each aspect of science process skills, n-gain pre-test and post-test, and n-gain every aspect of science process skill. The results showed that there has been an enhancement in every aspect of the science process skills, increasing the achievement percentage of each aspect of science process skills, and increasing the n-gain of each aspect of science process skills in two classes of 0.59 with medium category and 0.64 with medium category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry model can enhance the students' science process skills, and can be applied to the pressure topic.

Abstract

communication skills on the material of the human excretion system. The type of research refers to the One Group Pretest Posttest Design research design. The subjects in this study were 16 VIII A students at Al Falah Ketintang Junior High School. The results of the feasibility of the game media based on effectiveness can be seen from the n-gain scores obtained and achievements on each indicator. There are 5 indicators used in measuring communication skills. The indicator expresses an opinion and answers the question logically with the right concept has an n gain score of 0.85, the indicator expresses an opinion with a good choice of words and has an n gain score of 1.00, the indicator expresses an opinion and answers questions using sound articulation a good one has an n gain score of 0.89, indicators express opinions and answer questions using good body gestures have n gain scores of 0.67, and indicators express opinions and answer questions smoothly and confidently have n gain scores of 0.75. The average indicator improvement of students' communication skills on natural science subjects in the human excretion system is 0.83 with high criteria. The conclusion of this research is the exsys quartet game media to practice communication skills on the material of the human excretion system, which is feasible to use in the learning process from the aspect of effectiveness

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement in student learning outcomes by applying the STAD type cooperative learning model in global warming material. This type of research is “The Static Group Pretest-Posttest Design” using one experimental class and one control class. The subjects of this study consisted of 32 students of class VII-C and VII-D of Junior High School 18 Surabaya, with class VII-C as an experimental class using cooperative learning type STAD and VII-D as a control class using daily learning at school. Data collection techniques using the test method (pretest and posttest). The results of this study indicate the completeness of learning outcomes in aspects of knowledge in class VII-C by applying the STAD type cooperative learning model by 100% with an increase in student learning outcomes using the n-gain test analysis of 0.75. The high category with an increase in N-gain in class VII-C by 75% with a high category of 32 students as many as 24 students, while students in the medium category by 25% as many as 8 students and those in the low category did not exist. The conclusion is that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model in global warming material can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the achievements of students in improving science process skills after learning the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model on vibration and wave material. The research design used is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with one experimental class and one replication class. The sample of this study were students of class VIII F and VIII J in one junior high school in East Java. Student pretest-posttest data were analyzed with the ¬N-Gain Score test and paired t-test. The results showed that the science process skills of students increased. Class VIII F and VIII J obtained ¬N-Gain Score of 0.8 with a high category. Paired t-test results in class VIII F and VIII J obtain a probability value of 0,000 with a decision if the probability value is less than 0.05 then there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest. Based on the results of research conducted, it can be concluded that the application of the Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) learning model on vibration and wave material can improve students' science process skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the use of a Project-Based Learning worksheet for grade VII students in order to facilitate practising problem-solving skills. The research design of this study was one group pretest-posttest design. The worksheet was distributed to 30 students at Junior High School 18 Surabaya. The research method used the test method that is a pretest-posttest, in the form of essays that include indicators of problem-solving skills. Based on the results of research from the students' pretest and posttest scores, the average value of the increase in N-gain of all students was 0.67 with the medium category. Meanwhile, based on the results of the average value of the increase in N-gain of all indicators of students' problem-solving skills obtained results of 0.67 with a high category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that develop worksheet Project-Based Learning for students to practice problem-solving skills was effective.

Abstract

The research aimed to describes the effectivity of Tic Tac Toe game based on in terms of increasing students' understanding towards of concepts human excretory system. The type of research used was Research and Development (R & D) design within which it had been limited to pilot project. The pilot project involved 30 students at SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya level of grade 8th. The instruments used in this research is conceptual understanding test sheets. The understanding of test results was analyzed using the N-gain formula. The results of the effectiveness study of the developed Tic Tac Toe game can be reviewed from the results of the students' pretest and posttest analysis. Analysis of students' pretest and posttest results showed that the acquisition of an N-gain score of 0.71 with high criteria. It can be concluded that the Tic Tac Toe game developed is very suitable to be used as a learning medium and is able to increase students' understanding of concepts.
