Abstract

This study aims to produce student worksheet based on effective human respiratory system material literacy. The subjects of this study were 33 grade VIII students of SMPN 3 Sidoarjo. This type of research was a quantitative descriptive study, One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Effectiveness was determined by the results of the pretest, posttest and N-gain. The results showed that learning using student worksheet based on literacy is effective and can improve student learning outcomes. Effectiveness was reviewed from the learning outcomes obtained based on an increase in n-gain of 0.73 with a high category. The effectiveness results showed that 54.54% of students gained high n-gain score and 45.45% received medium n-gain score. For summing up, student worksheet based on scientific literacy is said to be effective and can improve learning outcomes and can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of STEM-based student worksheets to improve critical thinking. The research method using the ADDIE development model include Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, and Evaluation stages. Research design uses One Group Pretest-Postest. Research subjects were 33 students of VII-L class at Junior High School 21 Surabaya. Pretest and posttest analyzed using N-gain scores. The results obtained are the validity of student worksheets get score 5 with very valid criteria. Practicality Student worksheets in implementation of PjBL-STEM learning overall get score 5 with very well criteria, and the highest percentage of 24.30% in designing, making, and simple project experiments Wind -Up Car. The effectiveness of student worksheets in pretest results get average of 41.09 and the posttest results get average of 73.51 with average N-gain score of 0.56 (medium category). The percentage of N-gain with high category was 24.24% and the medium category was 75.76%. Students' critical thinking skills have increased in each indicator, the highest increase in Advanced clarification is 50.76%, Elementary clarification is 22.28%, Basic support is 1.36%, Inference is 45.15%, and Strategies and tactics is 40.15%. The average results of responses to student worksheets obtained 88.49% with a very well category. The conclusion of the study is STEM-based student worksheets are declared feasible to improve critical thinking skills. STEM student worksheets that implemented with the suitable learning model become one of the learning alternatives to support the activeness of students and improve critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The research aimed to describe the improvement of students learning outcomes through the application of interactive multimedia on human excretion system material. The research design used in this study was One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted in class VIII A and VIII D at SMPN 6 Gresik by involving 50 students. The method used in this study is the test method. The N-gain score obtained by class VIII A was 16% of students categorized as medium and 84% of students categorized as high, whereas the N-gain results obtained by class VIII D of students who were categorized as moderate by 12% and students categorized as high by 88%. The significance probability obtained by class VIII A and VIII D is 0,000 which indicates a significant increase in pretest and posttest. The average skills assessment obtained by class VIII A was 88.57 for the first meeting and 90 for the second meeting. In class VIII D the first meeting the average assessment of skills was 85.57 and 89.28 in the second meeting. Based on the results of the research, it concluded that the application of interactive multimedia on human excretion system material improved students learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the feasibility of the STEM-approached Worksheets to improve student learning outcomes on liquid pressure material. The feasibility of the worksheet is evaluated by the aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This worksheet was developed by using the ADDIE model. The subjects of this study were 30 students of class VIII-B of Junior High School 1 Wonosalam. The results of the validity aspects showed that the worksheet validation score was 4 with very valid criteria. The result of the practicality aspects shows the implementation of learning by using STEM-approached worksheets obtaining mode 4 with very good categories and very good student activities. The highest percentage of student activity is 26.77%, which is doing worksheets by conducting experimental activities and making STEM products in the form of Bottle Raft. The results of the effectiveness aspects based on an increase in student learning outcomes showed an average N-Gain score of 0.71 with a high category. Based on the posttest score, there was 83% of students completed and 17% of students did not complete. Students respond very well to STEM-approached worksheets. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the STEM-approached Worksheets are feasible to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity of a pocketbook (handout) using the barcode in environmental pollution to train the digital literacy for seventh-grade junior high school student. The feasibility of reviewed based on three aspects, that are validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity aspect is through the validation of two science lecturers and a science teacher. The practicality aspect is through the observation method of learning implementation and the student questionnaire response method. The effectiveness aspect with pretest-posstest based on digital literacy. The result of pocketbook (handout) using barcode validation show a very good category with 5 tendencies. The practical aspects of the learning process showed very good results for each meeting, while overall student response show of 97.5% with a category very good. The effectiveness in training digital literacy is through increasing N-Gain each student and every indicator of digital literacy. Relatively the average score of students in the pre-test was 39.06 while the post-test was 85.31 with N-Gain 0.66 in the medium category. The conclusion of this research produces a pocketbook (handout) using barcode feasible to train students' digital literacy on environmental pollution material.Keywords: pocket books, handouts, digital literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development of disaster mitigation students worksheets through the role playing method to train disaster management as well as the validity and practicality of the worksheets. This research was conducted based on the ADDIE development model with class VII K students in the 2019/2020 school year SMPN 21 Surabaya as research subjects. The research data was obtained through observation, interviews, and expert validation methods. The results of the validation assessment found that LKPD of disaster mitigation through role playing methods to train disaster management get very valid results where the content suitability aspect gets a mode 4 value, the presentation suitability aspect gets a mode 4 value, the language suitability aspect gets a mode 3 value, and the suitability aspect the learning method gets mode value 4. The results of the practicality assessment are based on the percentage of learning accomplishments and students activity where at the first meeting the value is 92.8% and the second meeting is 96.8% also the students activitiy reaches an overall average of all phasesis 92,3%. So that the disaster mitigation LKPD through role playing methods to train disaster management is considered very practical for applied during learning.Keywords: validity, practicality, role playing

Abstract

This study aims to describe validity of Student Worksheets based on guided inquiry learning on vibration and wave material to train junior high school student’s critical thinking skills. This student worksheets was developed using ADDIE model. The results was obtained from validation by two science expert lecturer and a science teacher of junior high school which obtained mode score of 4 with valid criteria at all aspect i.e. Content suitability, presentment suitability, terms suitability, and student worksheets based on guided inquiry suitability. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that validity of student worksheets based on guided inquiry valid to train student critical thinking skills.Keywords : Student Worksheets, Guided Inquiry, and Critical Thinking Skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran siklus 5E pada materi pemanasan global untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada penelitian ini diperoleh modus 4 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 32 siswa Kelas VII-A dan 32 Kelas VII-B SMP Negeri 1 Karangbinangun. Hasil penelitian ini berupa hasil belajar kompetensi pengetahuan dan kompetensi keterampilan. Hasil belajar kompetensi pengetahuan diperoleh dari hasil uji N-Gain yang menunjukkan bahwa 78% siswa memperoleh skor dalam kriteria tinggi pada Kelas VII-A. Pada Kelas VII-B 62,5% siswa memperoleh skor dalam kriteria tinggi. Hasil belajar kompetensi pengetahuan siswa diketahui dari nilai pretest dan posttest siswa. Hasil posttest siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran siklus 5E. Hasil belajar kompetensi keterampilan pada Kelas VII-A diperoleh nilai rata-rata 72 dengan kriteria baik pada pertemuan 1 dan 86 dengan kriteria sangat baik pada pertemuan 2. Pada Kelas VII-B diperoleh nilai rata-rata 71 dengan kriteria baik pada pertemuan 1 dan 83 dengan kriteria sangat baik pada pertemuan 2. Penelitian ini mendapatkan respons positif dari siswa Kelas VII-A dan VII-B. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran siklus 5E pada materi pemanasan global dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa SMP.Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran siklus 5E, hasil belajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran guided discovery. Model pembelajaran yang diterapkan digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa SMP pada materi getaran dan gelombang.. Penelitian dilakukan pada 32 siswa kelas VIII-F dan 32 siswa kelas VIII-G SMP Negeri 2 Buduran dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa, pada kelas VIII-F setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran guided discovery dengan memperoleh N-gain rata-rata sebesar 0,54 dengan kategori sedang dan pada kelas VIII-G memperoleh N-gain rata-rata sebesar 0,60 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan pemaparan di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran guided discovery sebagai model pembelajaran mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa SMP.Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Guided Discovery, Pemahaman Konsep Siswa

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kevalidan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi tekanan zat cair. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 15 Surabaya pada kelas VIII. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan R&D (Research and Development) dan penelitian ini telah sampai pada tahap ke-5. Tahapan tersebut meliputi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi produk, dan revisi produk. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar validasi LKS untuk mengukur kevalidan. Dari hasil penilaian yang didapatkan melalui proses validasi oleh validator dosen ahli dan guru mata pelajaran IPA didapatkan rata-rata nilai validitas pada aspek identitas LKS sebesar 94,66% dan 93,33%, aspek syarat didaktik sebesar 90,66%, aspek syarat konstruksi sebesar 96,66% dan 95,00%, pada aspek sayarat teknis sebesar 95,55% dan 91,10%. Simpulan penelitian LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains pada materi tekanan zat cair berkategori valid.Kata Kunci: Validitas, LKS, Inkuiri Terbimbing, Tekanan Zat Cair
