DIDAKTIKA Religia is published bi-annually in June and December by Postgraduate Program, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Kediri. Abstract

Seorang politisi senior yang tengah memperjuangkan agar partai politiknya berhasil masuk kembali ke parlemen dalam Pemilihan Umum 2014 menyatakan “Indonesia memiliki semua modal untuk menjadi negara yang kuat. Kekayaan alam melimpah ruah dan faktor demografi yang produktif merupakan modal yang bisa diandalkan. Namun yang terjadi saat ini justru sebaliknya. Hampir di semua sektror kondisi Indonesia terpuruk.†Demikian ungkapan M.S. Kaban, selaku Ketua Umum Partai Bulan Bintang (PBB) dalam wawancara dengan Kompas, 28 Januari 2014. Dia juga menegaskan masih perlu perjuangan keras agar Indonesia bisa menjadi negara kuat, ditopang kepastian hukum guna mewujudkan keadilan bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia.

Abstract

This study will examine the internalization of character values at the Tarbiyah Department of STAIN Ponorogo. It has been found out that STAIN Ponorogo, in particular the Tarbiyah Department, has made efforts to undertake character education to the students through three patterns: during the learning process, during process of academic administrative services, and during extracurricular and intraccurricular activities followed by students at STAIN Ponorogo. The characters to be internalized are honesty, discipline, religiousity, creativity, self-reliance, responsibility, tolerance, communication and responsibility

Abstract

This study tries to answer the following questions: 1) How is the implementation of character education in self-reliance and discipline to build students character in MTsN Kanigoro, Kras District, Kediri; 2) What factors that influence the implementation of character education in self reliance and discipline to build students character in MTsN Kanigoro Kras District. Kediri. This study uses a qualitative approach with case study method. The results reveal that character education is implemented through planning, integrated implementation through instruction, character building through self-development, while factors influencing the implementation are classified into two: internal and external factors.

Abstract

This study will examine how moral habituation in children with some intellectualimpediments takes place. The location of the study is SMPLB Kanigoro, Kras,Kediri. This study uses a qualitative research method by using interviews,observation and documentation. The results show that the method (habituation)could be a means of forming moral habit for children with limited intelligencedevelopment. With these characteristics, the education provided must adapt to thesituation of children with some intellectual impediment.

Abstract

This study will analyze the implementation of amal saleh at the pesantren alUrwatul Wutsqo, Bulurejo, Diwek, Jombang. The approach in this study is aqualitative case study. The data collection methods were observation, interviewand documentation. To check the validity of the data I will use extension study,perseverance observation and triangulation. The analysis comes up with someconclusions that: 1). Amal saleh planning: determining what should be done,division of tasks, the determination of a group of amal saleh, preparation ofreports 2). The purpose of amal saleh is to enhance dhikr, sincerity, constancy,discipline, and ridlo. 3). Evaluation of charitable activities: Evaluation focused onthe two things: physically: regular report, deposit book activities, monitoring andsupervision. Moderate mental evaluation: tajribah method (testing). Pupils arecontinuously tested for his sincerity. 4). Pupils spiritual intelligence: constancyand not desperate, sincere, God’s intention for the blessing, no wasting time,being responsible, dare to risk, and readiness for mutual assistance.

Abstract

This article aims at analyzing and comparing education system of Islamic boardingSchool and Islamic university. There are the same goals between those bothinstitutions, that is to create Ulama’. However, the outputs of both institutionsare quite different, even in giving the scholar’s degree. For the graduates of theIslamic boarding school are called Kyai, on the other hands, the graduates of theIslamic University are known as religious scholars. But the two terms refer to thesame meaning, Ulama’. The graduates of the Islamic boarding school are usuallymore proficient in mastering classical texts. So they tend to be more textual orscriptural in handlingsome particular problems. On the contrary, the graduatesof Islamic university tend to think contextually and critically.Nevertheless, unlikethe graduates of the Islamic boarding schools, most of them are not well qualifiedinundertaking the classical resources dealing with religious law or theology ingeneral. So there has been an apparent discrepancy between the two sides. Howcould we overcome this discrepancy?

Abstract

This study tries to examine the transformation of education in Islamic BoardingSchool of Hasan Jufri, Sangkapura, Bawean, Gresik. The results of this study revealthat the role of Kiai’s leadership is very significant in education transformation.To respond to the contemporary challenges, Kiai conducts the process oftransformation by establishing a formal education institution. In addition, theprocess of transformation also requires the transformation of educational systemsamong such as redefining goals, curriculum, methods, as well as providing thenecessary facilities. However, the educational transformation held in IslamicBoarding School of Hasan Jufri also brings about some implications, both negativeand positive. The positive implication is that the quality of education has increasedsignificantly, while its negative implication is that some students tend to behaveunfavorably, such as undermining some religious norms and imitating urban lifestyles.

Abstract

This article aims at analyzing and comparing thoughts of KH. Ahmad Dahlan andKH. Hasyim Asyari on the reform of Islamic education as well as their correlationwith the current education system. This issue will be examined by using libraryresearch. The analysis uses historical, sociological and anthropological approaches.The results of the research suggest that the concept of Islamic education reformof KH. Ahmad Dahlan and KH. Hasyim Asy’ari are similar, namely: the aim ofIslamic education is to form insan kāmil, educational materials in Islam is anintegral material between religion and science, educational methods were varied,and the development of educational institutions in the form of Islamic Senior HighSchool. The difference in the concept of Islamic education reform between the twois the direction and orientation of education. For KH. Ahmad Dahlan, the aimof Islamic education leads to increas economic and political life, and to enhancesocial welfare through modernism in education. For KH. Hasyim Ash’ari, the goalof education is to improve the moral quality of the people through maintainingtraditionalist Islamic culture, by using classical books as an important materialto be studied in developing religious knowledge.

Abstract

This paper deals with the available resources and strategies used to improve thequality of learning at excellent schools. The study was conducted at MI DarulMuta'alimin Patianrowo Nganjuk, MI Muhammadiyah 1 Pare and Catholicelementary Frateran 1 Kediri. Concurrent parallel design was used. It was foundout that excellent schools are not identical with expensive schools. Excellentschools improve their instructional quality through the organization of learningstrategies, delivery of instructional materials, and learning management strategy.

Abstract

This study is meant to examine the level of efficacy of mathematicsteachers for junior high schools in implementing scientific approach. Italso examines the difference of efficacy of the mathematics teachers ofjunior high school in implementing scientific approach based on genderand teaching experience. The method used in this research is quantitativemethod. The sample size includes 44 junior high school mathematicsteachers, comprising of 17 male teachers and 27 female teachers. Theselected area is Tabalong district, South Kalimantan. Data has beencollected by using a Likert scale instrument (1-4) with 5 items. Respondentsare junior mathematics teacher who attended the LPMP Lesson Study.The results of this study indicate that: (1) as much as 40% of the teacherswere not sure about their ability (low efficacy levels) in implementingthe scientific approach, (2) there is a significant difference in the teacherefficacy between new and senior teachers (p = 0.003 <0.05), and (3) thereis a significant difference in the teacher efficacy between male and femaleteachers (p = 0.007 <0.05).
