Abstract

This paper tries to propose some ways to incorporate Islamic values in Englishteaching in Indonesian pesantrens. Among others things these values include:optimizing the use of instructional materials containing Islamic messages andpreparing teachers with multiple qualifications. By so doing, the santris canmaintain their Islamic identity and are not easily contaminated by Westernvalues and, at the same time, they will have English competence as a means toface their future.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine and describe YayasanPondok Pesantren Raudlatul Ulum Kencong Pare (YPPRUK) which isintended to take care of elderly. There are three aspects to consider amongelderly population. They are biological, economic and social aspects. Byusing qualitative approach in the form of case study, the research revealsthe following findings. Firstly, YPPRUK is a forum for elderly people todeepen their religious knowledge, or so-called facilitators. Secondly, itaims at motivating senior citizens in the village Kencong to raise charitywith emphasis on worship in order to draw closer to Allah SWT. Thirdly,Uswah hasanah as the method employed as the learning strategies isactually a method that has been familiar among schools.Key words: Elderly people, Education, Islam, YPPRUK

Abstract

In addition to having the same concept of the importance of family and schoolin shaping the character, Thomas Lickona and Abdullā Nas ḥ hih Ulwā n alsohave different thoughts and concepts theoretically and practically. AccordingLickona, the important values that should be developed in character educationamong others, include the value of the trust, trustworthy (trusworthines), respect,responsibility, fairness both t o themselves and others, caring, honesty, andcitizenship. On the otherhand, ‘Abdullā Nas ḥ hih Ulwā n provide a completeguide for the realization of perfect parenting. In addition to referring to the textsof the Qur’an and Hadith shohih , he also equip it with scientific and rationalevidences. In his discussion Ulwā n not only reveal how education should be basedupon the phases of growth, but he is more general ranging from how to educatechildren from birth until the age of school. Abstract

The study is intended to exmine if the materials match the themes inthe student book of Pendiddikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti SD Kelas I,and to examine the implementation of scientific approach in the student book ofPendiddikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti SD Kelas I. The results obtained inthis study can be concluded that of the 32 sub-theme material conformity with thetheme seen from the suitability of the curriculum, 0.03% is not fulfilled, from thesuitability of KI and KD 0.09% is not fulfilled, from the suitability of the learningobjectives 0.28% is not fulfilled, from the appropriateness of the contents of eachcolumn 0.37% is partially fulfilled. Then from the application of the scientificapproach of the 32 sub-themes there 26 sub themes using the scientific approachwhile six sub-themes do not use scientific approach with images, 0.5% partiallyfulfilled and there are 0.07% is not fulfilled.

Abstract

The paper describes the use of Hadith is a course book for junior high schools.As we know that Hadith is the second source of Islamic teachings after the Koran,therefore the study of Hadith especially Hadith Ahadis very important. ExaminingHadith is an effort to avoid the use of arguments that do not really come fromthe Prophet Muhammad. So it is necessary to know the technical analysis of thequality of Hadith, where the sadhuses the opinion of al-Shafi’i and the al-jarḥwa al-ta‘dīl uses the opinion of Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Ashqalāniy.The number of Hadithused the book Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti 2013 Curriculum forjunior high schools Class VII written by Mustahdi and Sumiyati is 19 Hadith; andthere are 105 references. Of 19 Hadith, 8 hadith are ṣaḥīḥ li dhātihi, 6 Hadith areḥasan li dhātihi, and 5 Hadith are ḍa‘īf. We can use ṣaḥīḥ li dhātihi dan ḥasan lidhātihias arguments, but not ḍa‘īf.

Abstract

The study is intended to examine the level of intelligence spiritual studentsof SMAN I Kediri, the self-Control of students having high and low spiritualintelligence, and the different self-control among them. This study used amixed method approach. The data collection was conducted by questionnaire,documentation, interviews and observation. The population of this research isclass XII students of SMAN I Kediri. The results showed that there is a significantdifference between self-control of students who have high spiritual intelligenceand lower in class XII SMAN I Kediri, with the ratio of the average score of132.05: 116.65 15.40 difference. Independent t-test revealed that self-control ofstudents who have high spiritual intelligence is different from the students whohave low spiritual intelligenceof class XII SMAN I Kediri year 2013/2014.

Abstract

Istighathah, on the day before UN, has been a religious culture in SMAN 1 Mojo.This istighathah is supported by various parties ranging from the school, the viceprincipal, the teachers, the UN committee and all UN participants. This existence,for Sufi Psychology, which contains dhikir (remembrance) reading and prayer cannormalize function of neural network systems, cells and organs throughout thebody. In the world of Sufism, istighathah with remembrance has an importantposition in an effort to draw closer to Allah SWT. And this istighathah has becomeroutine annually before the administration of UN. This is because istighathah ashield that can provide encouragement for every human being to be serious intrying and praying and not easily discouraged when facing failure in UN. Theresults of this study are, first, istighathah at SMAN 1 Mojo has become routinebefore UN, either daily or collectively. There is a belief possessed by most studentsof SMAN 1 Mojo that can reduce the anxieties in which the result can producecalmness physically and mentally when they are facing UN.

Abstract

The study is intended to improve the students’ achievement of class XI TKJ 2 SMKN1 Kras by implementing mind mapping in PAI teaching. It was intentionallyselected since it could activate the left and the right brain simultaneously so thatstudents could achieve the PAI teaching objectives including knowing, doing andpracticing in daily life. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR). Theresult of the study showed that the implementation of mind mapping method inIslamic education (PAI) learning in class XI TKJ 2 SMKN 1 Kras conducted intwo cycles could improve students’ achievement in both cognitive and affectivescores.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of educational levels, training and teachingexperiences towards professionalism of teachers at MTs Negeri Kediri 2. Byusing quantitative approach, the study revealed the following results. Firstly, thelevel of education of teachers at MTsN Kediri 2 is high. Secondly, the teachertraining followed by teachers at MTsN Kediri 2 can be classified as moderate.Thirdly, the teaching experience of teachers at MTsN Kediri 2 can also beclassified as moderate. Fourthly, the professionalism of teachers at MTsN Kediri2 can be classified as moderate. Fifthly, the educational level of teachers at MTsNKediri 2 affects the professionalism of teachers by 21.6 %. Sixthly, the teachertraining affects the professionalism of teachers by 21.6 %. Seventhly, the teachingexperience affects the professionalism of teachers by 13.3 %. Finally, the levelof education , training and teaching experience affect the professionalism ofteachers by 34.5 %.

Abstract

This paper discusses the thoughts of Rene Descartes and the relevance towardsIslamic education. The great thesis of Rene Descartes is cogito ergo sum (I think,therefore I exist), has spawned a revolution of thought in philosophy. Descartesemphatically proclaimed that only reason or ratio alone can be the basis that canbe trusted, and not faith or revelation as always restrained in mid-century. Withthe method of doubt, Descartes treading philosophical thought to doubt everythingin order to achieve an ultimate certainty he always longed for. Despite eventuallyhe realized that nothing is true, except uncertainty itself. In the area of education(especially Islamic education), Descartes certainly gave a new foundation for thestudy and communication of doctrine not only as a process doctrine, but giving alarger portion to the role of reason itself.
