Abstract

Generally politics and education have their own roles and have no relation, or probably weak relation. Finding a phenomenon that in Blitar Town there is a policy relating education interests the research to know more about the policy, the background, the implementation, and relate the policy implementation to the students religious commitment developments, which consists of five aspects, they are knowledge, belief, practice, experience, and consequence. This study is undertaken by collecting data from the government, the regional education official, the LPTQ, PAI teacher of pubic senior high schools of Blitar Town, and the students, by using interview, observation, and documentation. There are four public senior high schools of BlitarTown, they are SMAN 1 Kota Blitar, SMAN 2 Kota Blitar, SMAN 3 Kota Blitar, and SMAN 4 Kota Blitar. The study is focused only on public schools because the systems of schools are administrated by the government. The result of the study shows that the implementation of the policy give contribution to the students’ religious commitment, whether every students get different feeling, development or increasing of their religious life after they join and pass the competence test.

Abstract

Pesantren is an educational institution after the recitation of the Qur'an in the entire territory of Indonesia. Pesantren distinctive shape and varied makes its presence continues to grow, but a significant development came after an intercourse with the school system or also known as the madrasa system. The growth of Islamic madrasah education is a response to the school system that has been the policy of the Dutch government within the framework of ethical politics. Growth and development of madrasas in the early 20th century is part of the Islamic reform movement in Indonesia, which has a fairly intensive contacts with the reform movement in the Middle East. One form of the dynamics and development of the earliest schools is the mixing between the boarding school system with madrasa system. Both institutions, initially stood alone. Model of teaching at a boarding school in the classical delivered in the mosque or surau with sorogan method, while teaching models delivered modern madrassa in the class room with a varied methods. Marriages between boarding school with this madrasah, has brought a lot of progress in the world of boarding schools. Model Integration madrasah/boarding school is divided into four, namely: Full Integration, Integration Selective, Instrumental Integration, and Integration Minimal. The meeting point of the integration of schools with madrassas, Islamic schools and Islamic Universities with Pesantren or vice versa is equally Aiming internalization of Islamic values, independence, sincerity and simplicity and personality formation holistic: an individual can find the identity, purpose and meaning in life through relation to society, spiritual values that can address the challenges and needs of the times.

Abstract

Empathic accuracy is a person's ability to properly understand the thoughts, feelings and intentions or desires of others. High empathic accuracy allows a person to succeed in various fields. Improving empathic accuracy can be done by providing a range of experiences. One of them is experiential learning. The study aims to test the effectiveness of empathy training accuracy by using experiential models for vocational students, Department of Nursing. The methods used in this study were within the group or individual design and research design used was equivalent time series. Wilcoxon signed rank test was used to analyze the data. The results showed that empathic accuracy training using experiential learning models effectively improvesempathic accuracy of vocational students of Department of Nursing.

Abstract

The development of a Learning Management System (LMS)-based application with the research objective of analyzing the impact of the brainstorming method by substantially sparking student learning interest in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at the junior high school level in Bandar Lampung City. The LMS application named BRAIN.PAI is expected to facilitate a more interactive and effective learning process, while the analysis of the impact of brainstorming aims to understand how this method can increase student engagement and interest in learning. This study adopted a structured Research and Development (R&D) approach, with the ADDIE development model as its main framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The main objectives are to create a functional LMS application and assess the effect of brainstorming in increasing student interest and engagement. In the analysis phase, LMS and brainstorming needs are identified. The design phase includes designing the LMS structure and brainstorming flow. Development involves building an application with brainstorming features. Implementation trials of the LMS with eighth-grade students, followed by evaluation of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness through validation, questionnaires, tests, and observations. The results of the study indicate that the developed LMS is feasible, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This article examines the role of learning strategy objects and digital media in calculus instruction within Islamic higher education institutions. The main problem addressed is the low level of student engagement in understanding abstract calculus concepts and the suboptimal use of contextual and interactive learning objects. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically to explore the function of media, learning objects, and technological innovations in facilitating students' comprehension of limits, derivatives, and integrals. The findings reveal that using instructional objects integrated with technology-based media, such as interactive simulations, concept visualizations through calculus applications, and contextual approaches grounded in Islamic values, enhances students’ conceptual understanding, active engagement, and learning motivation. The study recommends the development of calculus learning media tailored to the context of Muslim learners and the integration of spiritual values into instructional content and methods as part of a progressive Islamic education paradigm.

Abstract

Fluid mechanics is a discipline of applied mechanics that deals with the behavior of liquids and gases at rest or in motion and gases at rest or in motion. The aim of the current research is to get an in-depth picture of the science pre-service teachers’ (PST) logical thinking skill and the lecture profile in fluid mechanics. The subjects were selected from both the students and lecturer in Fluid Mechanics Course (FMC) in one of the science education departments at a state university in the city of Pekanbaru. Conducted through qualitative-descriptive methods, the data were collected through test, observation, interview and documentation. Research instruments include the logical thinking skill test (LTST) adapted from Edunitas, observation sheets, interview questions list, and question checklist. The LTST as quantitative data processed using descriptive statistics with the help of SPSS 26.0 and the qualitative data processed using Miles and Huberman method. Based on the results, the mean score of LTST is 47,36. It can conclude that students' logical thinking is still low. Supported by observations and interviews, it disclosed that lectures still use the lecture method assisted by PhET simulation media while students only listen. Based on the question checklist, the mid-term exam already encompasses to critical thinking skill but the examples and practice questions are still at cognitive level C3 according to Bloom’s Taxonomy. Thus, the current fluid mechanics has not been able to train students' critical thinking skills. Innovation is crucial needed in fluid mechanics learning to improve students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and students’ perceptions of using Rebus Story media in Arabic language learning at SD NU Insan Cendekia. The research background arises from the low interest and comprehension of students in Arabic vocabulary due to conventional methods that lack visual and contextual engagement. This study employed a mixed methods approach using a convergent parallel design, combining quantitative data from pretest–posttest results and qualitative data from classroom observations and interviews. Statistical analysis revealed that the use of Rebus Story significantly improved students’ learning outcomes, with the mean pretest score of 68.5 rising to 93.25 in the posttest, and a paired-sample t-test result of t(19) = 20.012 (p < 0.001), indicating a highly significant effect. The qualitative findings further showed that students responded positively to the use of this media because it made learning more enjoyable, contextual, and interactive. These results support Mayer’s Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning and Paivio’s Dual Coding Theory, emphasizing the importance of combining visual and verbal elements in language learning. The study concludes that Rebus Story is effective in enhancing students’ understanding and motivation in learning Arabic, while also fostering a communicative and collaborative classroom atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the behavioristic–structuralist approach through the peer tutoring method in teaching Arabic morphology (maharah shorof) to students of the Arabic Language Education Department at UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri. The research was motivated by students’ low mastery of Arabic morphological patterns due to teacher-centered traditional learning methods. Using a mixed-methods approach with an Explanatory Sequential Design, quantitative data were collected through pre-test and post-test, followed by qualitative data from classroom observations and interviews. The participants consisted of 19 undergraduate students (Class C) and graduate students as tutors. Findings revealed an increase in students’ mean scores from 77.11 to 85.79, with a p-value of 0.0079 (<0.05), indicating a statistically significant improvement. Qualitative findings showed that the integration of behavioristic reinforcement and structuralist analysis through peer tutoring encouraged more active, collaborative, and analytical learning behaviors. The study concludes that the behavioristic–structuralist approach effectively enhances Arabic morphology learning outcomes by combining behavioral conditioning and systemic linguistic understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and effectiveness of the Cooperative-Reflective Approach through the Process-Based Writing (PBW) model in teaching maharah kitabah (Arabic writing skills) among students of the Arabic Language Education Department at UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri. The research employed a mixed-methods approach using an Explanatory Sequential Design, where quantitative data were first collected through pre-test and post-test to measure writing improvement, followed by qualitative data collection through observation, interviews, and reflective journals to elaborate on the results. The participants consisted of 28 undergraduate students from Class D and one postgraduate tutor. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the average score from 38.21 to 74.82, with a gain of 36.61 points and an effect size of 2.90, indicating a very large influence of the intervention on students’ writing performance. Qualitative results showed that the Cooperative-Reflective approach enhanced students’ active participation, individual responsibility, and reflective awareness in the writing process. Students became more collaborative, critical, and confident in producing coherent and communicative Arabic texts. The study concludes that integrating cooperative and reflective approaches through the PBW model is not only effective in improving maharah kitabah but also contributes to developing a process-based and self-aware Arabic language learning model that aligns with 21st-century higher education demands.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media in the form of a serious game based on Finite State Machine (FSM) and guided inquiry approach to improve student engagement and understanding of Islamic Education material, especially the exemplary story of Ashabul Kahfi. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The game was developed with enemy characters based on Finite State Machine (FSM), consisting of three main conditions: patrol, pursuit, and return to the path, to create dynamics and challenges in educational games. Fourth-grade elementary school students were the main subjects in testing the effectiveness of the media, which involved pre-tests and post-tests to measure learning outcome improvement, as well as validation by subject matter and media experts. The results showed that the developed media met the feasibility criteria with a subject matter expert validation score of 3.5 and a media expert validation score of 4.0, as well as an N-Gain value of 0.53, which is in the moderate category. These findings indicate that the combination of FSM and guided inquiry methods in serious games can create an interactive, enjoyable, and effective learning experience that increases student engagement and critical thinking skills in PAI material. The research results recommend this media as an alternative for interactive digital learning at the elementary school level.
