Abstract

Based on the results of pre-observations, that the social skills of fifth grade students of SDN 2 Mekarasih in interacting, communicating, building teams / groups and solving problems are still low (lacking). This can affect student activity in the online learning process which is also a new challenge for teachers to be able to develop students' social skills. This study aims to determine the development of these four students 'social skills in online learning and to determine the contribution of online learning activities to the development of students' social skills. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a naturalistic approach, using questionnaires and interviews as data collection tools. The results showed that the social skills of fifth grade students of SDN 2 Mekarasih in these four aspects were included in the strong category with a total score of 76.47%, as for the contribution of online learning activities, the results obtained were able to assist teachers in developing students' social skills by based on learning activities carried out in groups can develop these four aspects of social skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of popup book media in mathematics learning. The participants were low-class students at Kp. Babakan Bungbulang which was held in a learning family. Desscriptive qualitative is used as a research method by collecting data using observations, questionnaires and wawancra. Triangulation of data used is 1) to see the analysis of media usage to learners whether it is classified as a good media used it is based on the results of interview tests and questionnaires, 2) The results showed that the learners greatly appreciated the popup book learning media applied in mathematics learning that has been carried out in the second observation. This shows that the results of this popup book media analysis research can help students in learning with increased learning ability, especially in mathematics learning

Abstract

Learning children's literature is an important part of the Indonesian language curriculum at elementary school level, aimed at developing appreciation for literary works and understanding everyday life through poetry. This research aims to analyze the intrinsic elements of children's poetry in the Anthology of Short Stories and Children's Poetry "The Balloon of Wishes" by Korrie Layun Rampan and its implications for learning in elementary schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through document content analysis. The results of the research show that theme, tone, feeling and message are the dominant intrinsic elements in this children's poetry. The themes of love for the homeland, humanity and patriotism, as well as variations in tone such as advising, inviting, criticizing and expressing pride, anxiety, admiration, happiness and gratitude are an integral part of these poems. The messages delivered revolved around the importance of loving one's homeland, caring for others, and preserving the environment. The implication of this analysis is to increase students' understanding of life values ​​through poetry learning, which is expected to become a model for future literary research and support the development of a literacy culture in society

Abstract

In today’s information age, the ability for creativity is one of the competencies that every student must have. However, science learning in elementary schools has not provided many opportunities for students to develop this ability. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to improve students' creative abilities, one of which is by using herbarium learning media. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of herbarium learning media in increasing students' creativity in science learning in elementary schools. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire, observation sheets, and interviews. The results of the questionnaire data processing show that the creativity of students when seen in general in science learning using herbarium learning media, as well as from each indicator, and the attitude scale of each individual shows creative interpretation with 70% of students getting the creative category and 30% of students getting the very category creative. Overall, the quality of herbarium learning media is very suitable to be used to support learning in increasing student creativity in science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated because some students still find it difficult to count, especially in multiplication, this has an impact on learning motivation, therefore researchers are interested in this study which aims to improve numeracy skills and student motivation in learning to count through learning with Jarimatika. This study involved 6 students consisting of 3 participants from class III and 3 participants from class IV. This research method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This data was obtained by means of tests, motivation questionnaires, and interviews. The data analysis technique in this study uses the process of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion / verification. As for the results of the research using Jarimatika in numeracy skills for class III, the learning activities are practicing Jarimatika, printing fingers and arranging puzzles with an average score of 8.77 and for grade IV the learning activities are matching pictures, pasting cards and the circumference of Nusantara with the average score. 8.66. Meanwhile, for the result of learning motivation for class III gets an interpretation value of 3.22 which is classified into the "Good" category, and for class IV gets an interpretation value of 3.36 belonging to the "Very Good" category.

Abstract

The focus in this research is trying to explain 1) the implementation of distance learning in terms of the teacher's teaching experience 2) the effectiveness of distance learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, the subject is elementary school teachers grades 4-6. Data collection was carried out by interviewing and documenting the resource persons. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that 1) the implementation of learning carried out by teachers was not optimal, this was due to planning related to learning objectives, as well as understanding and application of models, methods, techniques, media and evaluation tools that were carried out still feeling conventional without any innovations related to distance learning. far 2) the effectiveness of learning is said to have not been effective in its implementation because of several things such as a) students are not ready to carry out learning, b) less than optimal delivery of material c) student economic factors that affect the learning media used, and d) lack of student and parental responses related to teacher delivery.

Abstract

Reading comprehension skills are important for students' mastery, improvement, and knowledge. The purpose of this study 1) how the students' reading comprehension ability in grade V SD Negeri 1 Sukagalih 2) how the obstacles experienced by students in reading comprehension 3) how the efforts made by the teacher in improving reading comprehension skills. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method, where the subject is class V students. The research instrument uses tests and interviews. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that 1) the results of the fifth grade students' reading comprehension test at SDN 1 Sukagalih obtained an average score of 67 which was included in the sufficient category. 2) from the results of the interview, the factors that become obstacles in the ability to read comprehension are motivation and interests, habits, student self-conditions, environmental influences, and reading materials. 3) From the results of interviews, the efforts made were to motivate students in reading, determine reading goals, teacher sensitivity to students who have difficulty in reading, use of methods and media in teaching, use of facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the improvement of reading at the beginning of grade 1 elementary school students through flashcard media. The method used is Classroom Action Research. The increase in the initial reading ability of student B's initial ability is 67.50% to 76.44% in the first cycle and 86.35% in the second cycle, so the increase that has been obtained by student B is 18.85%. Student R's initial ability is 66.73% to 76.44% in the first cycle and 86.15% in the second cycle, so the increase that has been obtained by student R is 19.42%. Student F's initial ability is 50.00% to 76.44% in the first cycle and 78.46% in the second cycle, so the increase that has been obtained by student F is 28.46%. it can be concluded that the use of flashcard media can improve the process and results of initial reading skills in grade 1 students of State Elementary School 11 Kulon Garut City, as evidenced by an increase in initial reading ability.

Abstract

The focus in this research is to analyze how the results of writing narrative poetry by students and the difficulties experirnced by students. This approach uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where the subjects are teachers and foutrh grade students. The data collection process was carried out by the method of tests and interviews. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that: 1) the results of writing narrative poetry for fourth grade students consisting of themes, message, diction and rhymes still relatively simple from 24 students there are 10 students who belong to the “good” criteria, 3 students belong to the “Enough” criteria, and 11 students fall into the “Less” criteria. 2) difficulties experienced by students, namely in determining the title and content of the poem according to the theme, difficulty in determining the mandate, difficulty in determining diction and rhyme. The difficulty that is classified as the strongest is on the elements of diction and rhyme, and the lightests difficulty is in determining the mandate.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of pop up book media on interest in learning science in fifth grade students of SDN 1 Cibunar. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental approach. The population in this study were all students of class V, the researchers used a sample of two classes, namely class VA which amounted to 16 people as the experimental class and class VB which amounted to 16 people as the control group. The data analysis technique used normality test, homogeneity test and t test. The posttest results of class VA students who use pop-up book media who have the highest score with an average of 80.00 while class VB does not use pop-up book media. It can also be proven by the results of the t-test calculation, namely there is a lower positive value with a score of 2.578 and an upper positive value and has a value of 10.172 or a Sig(2-tailed) = 0.002. Because the bottom is positive and the top is positive or Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.002 < = 0.05, which means that there is a significant effect of pop-up book media on the interest in learning science for fifth grade students.
