Abstract

Linear programming is a mathematical approach used to increase the revenue of a grocery store through the analysis of the most optimal combination of products. This study aims to identify the main constraints faced by grocery stores, such as limited capital, storage capacity, and consumer demand. Furthermore, an optimization model based on linear programming was developed to overcome these constraints. This research applies Simplex and Branch and Bound method to find the best solution. The results showed that the application of linear programming model is able to help stores determine the number of products that need to be sold efficiently to maximize revenue. This optimization process also allows for more optimal utilization of existing resources, thus supporting more effective and data-driven decision making. This study provides an important contribution in the management of grocery stores, especially in improving operational efficiency and revenue, and can be a reference for other small business actors.

Abstract

Queue is an activity of waiting in a line carried out by customers or goods to obtain service facilities. Queue is a Waiting Line of Customers measured by certain units that require one or more services. Queue Analysis is a form of probability analysis. Queues are often encountered in everyday life. The queuing process is a process related to the arrival of customers at a service facility, waiting in a queue if they have not been served, being served and finally leaving the facility after being served. Someone has to wait which takes time. The purpose of this observation is to find out the queuing system at Indomaret Aek Batu and to find out the optimal cashier service. The first step taken is to observe customer arrivals. The analysis process uses "Microsoft Excel" and "POM-QM For Windows" software with the Waiting Lines module. From the results of the calculation, the average number of customers waiting for the longest system at 15.00-19.00 is 114 people. While the average number of customers waiting in the shortest system occurs at 07.00-11.00, which is 32 people, it can be concluded that the performance of the queue system at Indomaret Aek Batu is not optimal.

Abstract

This research aims to apply the simplex method using QM for Windows software to determine the optimal benefits of the Yulia Sewing House. In the textile industry, efficient resource management is very important to increase profitability. Yulia Sewing House is faced with the challenge of utilising limited resources such as raw materials and labour to maximise profits from various products offered. The simplex method is used to solve linear program problems with the function of profit goals that want to be maximised and constraints such as production capacity or availability of raw materials. The data used in this research includes information on production costs, selling prices, and production capacity of each type of product. QM for Windows analyses to determine the optimal production mix. This research will make a significant contribution to strategic decision making in the management of Yulia Sewing House and can be a reference for other small and medium businesses to optimise the production process and increase the profitability of Yulia Sewing House. From the results thatObtained, the simplex method can be used to maximise. The profit with an increase in profit of Rp 2,800,000.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the motorbike queuing system at the Simpang Mangga Rantau Prapat Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) with a focus on increasing service effectiveness. Long and irregular queues have led to long waiting times, which has a negative impact on customer satisfaction. Through evaluating the performance of the existing queuing system, this research identified several causal factors, including a surge in visitors during peak hours and an imbalance between the number of customers and service capacity. As a solution to overcome this problem, this research proposes several strategies, including optimizing the queuing system using the Multi Channel Single Phase (M/M/S) model, adding service lanes, and diverting vehicle lanes during peak hours. The results of this research show that implementing these strategies can increase customer satisfaction and operational efficiency of gas stations. With better queue management and the application of technology, it is hoped that the customer experience can be improved, and a positive impact on traffic around gas stations can be achieved.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing queues at the Teras Coffe cafe using the single channel method. Queues often occur at this cafe due to the high volume of visitors, which causes long waiting times for customers. The aim of this research is to optimize customer waiting time by understanding the existing queuing system. The method used in this research includes collecting primary data through interviews and direct observation in the field. The data obtained includes the time of customer arrival and the duration of service provided by the cashier. By using the single channel method, where there is only one service channel, this research aims to provide a clear picture of the expected waiting time and the number of customers waiting in the queue. The analysis results show that with better arrangements in the service system, waiting times can be minimized. It is hoped that this research can provide useful recommendations for cafe managers in improving service efficiency and customer satisfaction. Thus, this research not only provides insight into queue management, but also contributes to a better customer experience at the Teras Coffe cafe.

Abstract

Currently, many small and medium enterprises are facing big challenges in terms of managing the production and distribution of goods. Breakfast stallBunda Tata is a culinary business that provides various choices of breakfast menu, such as nasi lemak, regular rice and vegetable rice cake. These menus have different preferences every day, depending on customer needs and preferences. Optimizing production in the culinary business world, especially breakfast stalls, is a very important aspect to increase operational efficiency and profitability. One method that is often used to solve production optimization problems is Linear Programming (LP). In this section we will discuss several concepts related to production optimization and the application of Linear Programming in the context of the culinary business. Linear Programming is a mathematical method for solving the problem of allocating limited resources to achieve optimal goals such as maximizing profits or minimizing costs. In solving linear programming problems, a mathematical model is needed. The application of Linear Programming in culinary businesses such as breakfast stalls aims to solve problems related to raw material management, production capacity and profits. Several previous studies have shown that LP can be used effectively in optimizing production in the culinary industry. Bunda Tata's Breakfast Shop wants to maximize profits with QM for Windows, a software used for data analysis and mathematical modeling.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze consumer interest in Mie Gacoan Rantau Prapat using a Decision Tree-based classification method. This analysis aims to determine the most influential factors in determining consumer interest in the food product. The theoretical basis used is the concept of data mining with classification techniques, where Decision Tree was chosen because of its ability to produce easy-to-understand models. In addition, theories regarding model evaluation such as accuracy, precision, and recall are also used to measure the performance of the built classification. This research methodology includes collecting data from 100 consumer entries which are then divided using the Split Data feature in RapidMiner with a ratio of 60:40, resulting in 40 training data and 60 testing data. The classification process is carried out using the Decision Tree algorithm, while evaluation is carried out with the performance operator to assess the model results. The classification results show that cleanliness is a major factor in determining consumer interest, where the number of consumers in the Interest category is more dominant than the No Interest category. The model evaluation yielded an accuracy of 73.33% with a precision of 73.47% in the Interested class and 72.73% in the Not Interested class, as well as a recall of 92.31% in the Interested class and 38.10% in the Not Interested class. In conclusion, the classification model developed is able to provide a picture of consumer interest patterns with a fairly good level of accuracy. These results can be a strategic reference for Mie Gacoan to improve service quality and cleanliness as the main factors determining consumer interest.

Abstract

The growing automotive industry demands workshops to improve the quality of service for customer satisfaction. However, manual measurement of satisfaction is often inefficient and subjective. This study proposes the application of machine learning algorithms K-Means Clustering to analyze customer satisfaction data in Rizal workshop. This method is used to Group customers into several clusters based on similar satisfaction characteristics. The results of this grouping are expected to provide more objective and in-depth insights to identify patterns of satisfaction, thus enabling the workshop to formulate a more effective and targeted service quality improvement strategy.

Abstract

This study was conducted to classify public satisfaction levels using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm as the primary data analysis method. The objective of this study was to obtain an accurate and reliable prediction model for determining the Satisfaction and Dissatisfaction categories based on the available data. The theoretical basis used refers to the concept of machine learning, specifically SVM, which works by forming an optimal hyperplane to separate data classes. In addition, model evaluation theories such as the Confusion Matrix were used to objectively measure prediction performance. The research methodology included data collection, pre-processing, dividing the dataset into training and test data, and training the SVM model. Evaluation was conducted using accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity metrics to assess the model's ability to predict data accurately. The results and discussion indicate that the SVM successfully classified the majority of data correctly, with the Satisfaction class having a perfect prediction rate while the Dissatisfaction class still had a small error. Further analysis indicated the need for SVM parameter optimization to improve accuracy in the minority class. The conclusion of this study states that the SVM has good performance in classifying public satisfaction data, although it still requires refinement in recognizing certain class patterns. This finding opens up opportunities for developing more adaptive methods to improve predictive performance.

Abstract

Web-based academic information system is an effective solution to manage the value of students at SMK Muhammadiyah 03 AEK Kanopan. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of the system using Research and Development methods. The developed system is designed to address challenges in the current value processing process, such as efficiency, accuracy, and data accessibility. In system development, the methodology used includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Needs analysis is conducted to identify important features that must be present in the system, such as value input, final value calculation, report generation, and access for teachers, students, and administrative staff. After that, the system is designed with an intuitive interface and powerful functionality. The results of this study indicate that the web-based academic information system developed is very feasible to be used as a value processing system at SMK Muhammadiyah 03 AEK Kanopan. This feasibility is supported by evaluations from various stakeholders, including teachers and administrative staff, who assess this system can improve efficiency, reduce errors, and facilitate access to value information. Thus, this system is expected to be a reliable tool to support the teaching and learning process in the school.
