Abstract

This writing focuses on providing legal assistance to the Nusa Penida community regarding land rights disputes, particularly those arising from a State Administrative decree. The activity involves analyzing State Administrative dispute cases to assess the impact of the decree on the community's land. Legal assistance is provided to enhance the community's understanding of the decree's implications and the steps they can take to assert their land rights. The methods used include case analysis, direct assistance, and field visits. The findings highlight the importance of raising legal awareness within the community and empowering them to actively fight for their land rights. Key actions include filing administrative objections and pursuing lawsuits in court when necessary. The intervention demonstrated how legal assistance can alleviate community concerns by offering clear, actionable steps to address the issues. This activity also underscores the complexity of land disputes in Nusa Penida, especially regarding pipil land, and the potential conflicts that may arise if these disputes are not resolved promptly and effectively.

Abstract

Natural disasters that frequently occur can threaten the lives and livelihoods of communities, causing casualties, environmental damage, and significant economic and psychological impacts. This study aims to optimize the Environmental Awareness Movement as an effort to enhance community preparedness for disasters. The research was conducted through a counseling program and tangible actions in Kemiri Village, Paguat District, Pohuwato Regency, involving synergy between academics, local government, and the local community. The methods applied include environmental law counseling, bamboo tree planting along riverbanks for erosion mitigation, and environmental cleanliness campaigns. The study results indicate that the synergy between stakeholders has successfully encouraged active community involvement in education and environmental actions, significantly contributing to increased awareness and disaster preparedness. Counseling involving government officials and environmental experts has proven effective in enhancing the community's understanding of the importance of environmental protection and the legal consequences of environmental damage. Additionally, tree planting activities and cleanliness movements have strengthened the community's commitment to maintaining the balance of the local ecosystem. This study recommends the integration of the Environmental Awareness Movement into village policies and the strengthening of synergy between the government, academics, and the community to enhance environmental resilience sustainably.

Abstract

The Village Head Election (PILKADES) is a crucial process in Indonesia's democracy, where the village head plays a central role in governance and community service. To enhance the quality of the upcoming simultaneous Pilkades in Cianjur Regency in 2025-2026, the E-Administration system is being implemented. This system aims to streamline the registration of village head candidates, improving accountability, transparency, and efficiency, while reducing the potential for data manipulation. The research aims to evaluate the E-Administration system’s implementation and assess its impact on transparency, efficiency, and accountability in the Pilkades process. Additionally, it seeks to provide a model that other regions can adopt in their Pilkades. The research method includes several strategic stages: a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to align stakeholder understanding, mentoring in the implementation of the system, and continuous evaluation. The results show a significant improvement in the efficiency of candidate registration, with faster verification and fewer data errors. The system has also increased transparency and accountability, with real-time access to data for authorities and the public. The reduction in data manipulation, through digital verification of documents, highlights the potential for the E-Administration system to be a model for other regions to enhance Pilkades quality.

Abstract

This study aims to provide understanding and legal counseling regarding child abuse in Singkawang City, West Kalimantan, with a focus on bullying, sexual violence, and child marriage. The counseling activity was carried out by the Faculty of Sharia at IAIN Pontianak at MAN Kota Singkawang and SMAN 2 Kota Singkawang in 2023. The implementation method consisted of three stages: preparation and administrative processes, field activities, and reporting the results. The delivery of the material was conducted through an interactive model and dialogue, interspersed with clips from the film A Silent Voice and reflections on the song Satu Satu. The results of the activity showed that participants gained an understanding of perpetrators, victims, and witnesses in cases of child abuse, as well as appropriate prevention and reporting mechanisms. Feedback from participants revealed that bullying and sexual violence are relevant issues in the school environment, with the main focus on prevention starting from oneself and the importance of building a healthy, equal, and inclusive friendship environment.

Abstract

The Law on Juvenile Justice System states that a child in conflict with the law is a child who is 12 (twelve) years old, but not yet 18 (eighteen) years old who is suspected of committing a criminal offense. Indonesia has a good set of rules but is still considered ineffective in resolving cases of children in conflict with the law. This is due to many factors such as the lack of socialization and counseling regarding the regulations governing this matter. Currently, the role of schools, especially teachers in preventing children (students) in conflict with the law is very important, given the number of cases where the perpetrators are children. The method used in this activity is the socialization method, which aims to provide understanding to schools and teachers as educational institutions and educators whose results can be seen from an increase in teachers' understanding of efforts to prevent children in conflict with the law.

Abstract

This writing aims to enhance the legal awareness of home industry actors in Tombawatu Village, Konawe Regency, regarding the importance of trademark registration for legal protection and certainty. Despite being a tourism area with many home industry businesses, the awareness of trademark registration among entrepreneurs remains low. The objectives of this community service activity were to improve the understanding of business actors about trademark registration and its legal benefits. The methodology employed in this study involved several stages. The first stage was the preparation phase, which included a location survey and determining the target audience. The second stage was the implementation phase, which consisted of a pre-test, delivery of material through lectures and discussions, followed by a post-test to assess the level of understanding of the participants. The community service activities used a lecture and discussion method conducted through direct face-to-face interaction with the community. The results showed a significant improvement in legal awareness among the participants regarding trademark registration and its procedures. Before the legal counseling, 80% of the participants had low legal awareness. After the counseling session, 60% of participants demonstrated a high level of understanding, while 20% showed a very high level of understanding, and none had a low level of understanding. This indicates a successful increase in legal awareness and understanding of trademark registration among the home industry entrepreneurs in Tombawatu Village.
