Abstract

This research is motivated by the observed gap between the performance targets set by management and the actual achievements of several employees at PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Mahakam. This discrepancy is suspected to be influenced by varying levels of work motivation among employees. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method and simple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 50 active employees selected using a total sampling technique. The primary instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire based on a four-point Likert scale. The validity and reliability tests confirmed that all questionnaire items were valid and reliable. The results of the regression analysis show that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) and a regression coefficient of 0.927. This implies that an increase in work motivation tends to be followed by an improvement in employee performance. These findings support Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and Herzberg’s two-factor theory, which emphasize the importance of both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in enhancing job performance. Therefore, it is recommended that management strengthen motivational factors to sustainably improve employee productivity and effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity, cash flow management, and investment in securities on the financial stability of digital technology sector companies in Indonesia in the period 2021–2024. A quantitative approach with a panel data regression analysis technique is used as a method. A total of eight companies became the sample of the study. The companies were selected using a purposive sampling technique. According to the results of the study, the company's financial stability is very positively and significantly influenced by liquidity. Cash flow management and investment in securities, meanwhile, did not show any significant influence. Companies need to focus on efforts to strengthen liquidity to maintain financial stability based on the indications of these findings, especially amidst global economic uncertainty. This study is expected to be a reference for academics and company management in developing more effective financial strategies in the digital technology sector.

Abstract

The main problem in this study lies in the existence of an uncomfortable work environment, this is characterized by less harmonious relationships between employees, suboptimal internal communication, and inequality of interaction between civil servants and non-civil servants. In addition, problems arise in the aspect of work discipline, there is inconsistency in the application of work discipline rules, which creates the impression of injustice and has the potential to reduce the enthusiasm and responsibility of employees. This study aims to analyze and prove the effect of work environment and work discipline simultaneously on employee performance at the One-Stop Investment and Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) of East Kalimantan Province. The research method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques, using the help of SPSS software version 27. The analysis used is validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression analysis, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that (1) work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and (3) work environment and work discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the One-Stop Investment and Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) of East Kalimantan Province.

Abstract

In 2019, food and beverage sub-sector companies recorded significant economic growth of 7.72%. However, in 2020, there was a decline in growth in most companies in the sub-sector. This condition indicates that food and beverage sub-sector companies experienced fluctuating growth, namely positive growth in 2019 and a decline in 2020. Companies that are experiencing going concern or non-going concern are based on various factors, such as the size of the company, the size of the public accounting firm and financial distress. This study aims to determine the effect of company size, the size of the public accounting firm and financial distress on going concern audit opinions (an empirical study of food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2022). The population in this study were food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019-2022, consisting of 49 companies with an observation period of 4 years. This research method is quantitative and the method used for sampling in this study is purposive sampling. Based on the research results, the variables of company size and the size of the public accounting firm do not affect the going concern audit opinion. Then the financial distress variable has a positive effect on the going concern audit opinion.

Abstract

The Indonesian economy is currently grappling with substantial challenges in the aftermath of the global pandemic, characterized by a pronounced economic slowdown and mounting international pressure. Intellectual capital, comprising employed capital, innovation capital, relational capital, human capital, and structural capital, constitutes one of the strategies that contributes to economic resilience and corporate sustainability. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of employed capital, innovation capital, relational capital, human capital, and structural capital on company value. The present study employed a quantitative method. The data utilized in this study were secondary data, collected from annual reports of companies listed on the IDX ESG Leaders, with a total of 110 observations. The data analysis employed was multiple linear regression. The findings of the study suggest that employed capital, innovation capital, and relational capital exert a significant influence on company value. Conversely, human capital and structural capital have been demonstrated to exert no influence on company value.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of brand experience and brand image on purchasing decisions of Baturaja cement products (a case study at TB. Ridho Jaya). This research employs a quantitative method with an associative-causal explanatory approach. The sample consists of 115 customers of TB. Ridho Jaya who purchased and used Baturaja cement products. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires using a Likert scale as the measurement instrument. Data analysis includes tests of data quality, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and hypothesis testing. The results reveal that both brand experience and brand image have a positive and significant influence, both partially and simultaneously, on the purchasing decisions of Baturaja cement among TB. Ridho Jaya’s customers. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh brand experience dan brand image terhadap keputusan pembelian produk semen baturaja (studi kasus TB. Ridho Jaya). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan tingkat penjelasan asosiatif kausal. Adapun yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pelanggan dari TB.Ridho Jaya yang membeli dan menggunakan produk semen baturaja, dengan jumlah 115 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui distribusi kuesioner dengan skala Likert sebagai alat pengukur. Sedangkan Analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi uji kualitas data, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linear berganda, uji koefisien determinasi, dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari variabel Brand Experience dan Brand Image baik secara parsial maupun simultan, terhadap keputusan pembelian produk semen baturaja pada pelanggan TB. Ridho Jaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of internal communication on employee performance at the Traffic Unit of Polresta Samarinda. The main problem addressed is the lack of effective internal communication, which leads to miscommunication, task execution errors, and low employee morale. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 93 respondents out of a total population of 120 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires, and the validity and reliability were tested using SPSS version 27. The data analysis techniques used include simple linear regression, t-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that internal communication has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient value of 0.810 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.748 indicates that 74.8% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by internal communication, while the remaining 25.2% is influenced by other factors. These findings emphasize the importance of effective internal communication in improving employee performance, especially in work environments that require high levels of coordination, such as the police force. Therefore, improving the quality of internal communication can be a key strategy to enhance work effectiveness and productivity in the Traffic Unit of Polresta Samarinda.

Abstract

The problem in this study stems from the strategic challenges faced by large companies such as PT Mayora Indah Tbk in ensuring that the organizational structure is capable of effectively supporting strategy implementation. The complex organizational structure, involving many work units, often becomes a barrier to cross-division collaboration and swift decision-making. This study aims to investigate how the organizational structure at PT Mayora Indah Tbk supports the implementation of corporate strategy, as well as how internal organizational members perceive the effectiveness of the structure. The research method used is a qualitative approach with documentation techniques applied to 15 internal and external documents, such as annual reports, strategic plans, SOPs, and organizational charts. Data analysis was conducted using thematic content analysis, supported by the theoretical framework of Miles & Snow (2023). The results show that the semi-decentralized organizational structure implemented by PT Mayora Indah Tbk is able to combine operational flexibility with strategic control. The delegation of authority to key divisions such as marketing and product development enables a quick response to market dynamics without losing strategic direction from the center. Formal coordination systems through ERP and cross-division forums also strengthen the alignment between strategy and operations. Thus, the organizational structure at PT Mayora Indah Tbk has proven effective in bridging strategic vision with practical implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internal and external conditions of PT Pusat Gadai Indonesia using a SWOT analysis approach (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) as part of a Mid-Semester Examination assignment for the Strategic Management course. The analysis reveals that PT Pusat Gadai Indonesia possesses several strengths, including a strong reputation, fast pawn processes, competitive interest rates, as well as technological support and responsive customer service. However, the company also faces significant weaknesses such as lack of product innovation, limited market reach beyond Java, and suboptimal digitalization. Externally, the company has considerable opportunities due to increasing public demand for quick funding, the growth of MSMEs, and potential partnerships with fintech companies. External threats include intense competition from Pegadaian and fintech lenders, regulatory changes, and economic fluctuations. Based on the EFE Matrix, the company scores 2.65, indicating a fairly good ability to respond to external dynamics. The recommended SWOT strategies include developing a mobile application, enhancing digital promotion, forming fintech partnerships, and strengthening risk management. The findings suggest that PT Pusat Gadai Indonesia should prioritize digital transformation and market expansion to remain competitive in an increasingly dynamic industry landscape.

Abstract

The Governor's Office plays a strategic role as the central hub for coordination in regional decision-making and governance. Its core functions include public policy planning, oversight of government institutions, and the management of regional resources aimed at improving the quality of life and promoting sustainable local development. Employee performance within the Governor's Office is a key factor in the effective execution of these governmental duties.As such, attention to the productivity of civil servants (ASN) is essential, as productivity reflects how efficiently time, energy, and resources are used to achieve organizational goals (Sutrisno, 2023; Robbins & Judge, 2022).This study aims to examine the influence of work motivation and work ethic on employee productivity at the Leadership Administration Bureau of the East Kalimantan Provincial Governor's Office. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey method, with questionnaires distributed to 69 respondents. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression.The results show that both work motivation and work ethic have a positive and significant impact on employee productivity, both individually and jointly. Together, these two factors account for 25.2% of the variance in productivity. These findings suggest that motivation and work ethic are critical in enhancing employee performance. Therefore, continuous efforts are needed to foster motivation and build a strong work ethic in order to achieve more effective and professional organizational performance.
