Abstract

In the era of globalization of trade, the key to increasing a company's competitiveness is quality. Only companies that are able to produce world-class quality products can win global competition. PT. INT Indonesia (Company name has been disguised according to company policy) is a company operating in the Electronic Component Manufacturing and Assembly industry located in Batam, Indonesia. PT. INT Indonesia produces semi-finished hearing aid products and microphones for aviation, firefighting, aerobics and other needs. PT. INT Indonesia supplies products and services to the hearing health and communications industries. Six Sigma is a method used to increase productivity and profitability. The steps in processing this data use the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) stages. Results of overcoming visual over rejects on plastic raw materials with Six Sigma DMAIC analysis using Seven Quality Tools at IQC Sorting Line PT. INT Indonesia in this research brought changes for the better, it can be seen from DPMO = 11,355.6 from 1 million Quantity to DPMO = 4,190.7 from 1 million Quantity. And the initial Sigma level of 3.778σ becomes a Sigma level of 4.136σ.

Abstract

The coconut shredding process has relatively large energy and special abilities so that the results are good and the hands are not injured. To facilitate traction and maintain hygiene and increase the capacity of shredding in households and small industries, many coconut grate machines have been designed or made with various models and prices vary. One of the designs or designs circulating in the market is a grate engine that uses a motor engine with gasoline fuel. This machine is designed in such a way as to increase safety for users, speed up the coconut shredding process, increase capacity, and maintain hygiene from shredded coconuts. But household-scale and small-scale coconut shredded machine tools are still relatively expensive. In this design, a tool was made with a mini coconut grate machine redesign to reduce material costs and manufacturing costs. Make changes to the shape and dimensions for the frame and supports. In addition, changes to engine components with a household-scale electric motor with a power of 220 volts

Abstract

Packaging is an important part of the product. Packaging is not only to protect the product from danger and contamination of the product itself. But packaging is also used to attract the attention of consumers. PT X is one of the manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sector, where PT X also produces products in maklon packaging. Several companies similar to PT X, also produce in maklon packaging, which makes competition in the market even tighter. The purpose of this research is to produce improved packaging for PT X creamer products with the Quality Function Deployment approach. The tests carried out this time are very important for the basis for making changes by looking at the level of aspects needed by consumers from 30 respondents. the results of research that have been carried out using the Quality Function Deployment method there are several attribute values in the level of their improvement ratio in development by determining the attribute values that respondents have chosen in development. For the attribute itself on ‘Simple Minimalist Design’ which has a high level of importance with an improvement ratio value of 1.21.

Abstract

PT MCM, a company that manufactures heavy equipment components, has problems in the tank manufacturing process. There are several wastes that occur, namely process time, machine and equipment layout, one of which causes the length of the process time. This study aims to analyse the production process activities and provide improvement suggestions through the Lean Manufacturing approach with detailed processes using the Operation Procces Chart. This is followed by a visual method using Value Stream Mapping. The results of the improvements made include replacing jib cranes with overhead cranes, adding work aids such as vertical lifters and permanent magnet lifters, changing the use of CO₂ gas tubes in welding from single tubes to cradles, changing the use of wire welding from rollers to wire tubes, and improving layouts to minimise the movement of the production process to be more optimal. The efficiency achieved can increase the number of tank production from 38 units to 39 units per month, improve the layout of the tank production process saving space up to 35, 81%, improve the standard time reduced to 33.33%.

Abstract

The Arduino Uno is a device commonly used as the brain of a control system. It utilizes an Integrated Circuit (IC) known as the ATMega328P. The Arduino Uno comes equipped with a user-friendly programming environment, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced developers. It finds applications in various devices, such as the Coconut Grater and Coconut Squeezer machines. In the case of these machines, the Arduino Uno is employed to control the direction of the Coconut Squeezer's motor rotation and the activation of the Coconut Grater's motor using buttons. The objective of this journal is to identify the components used for controlling input/output and to understand the programming techniques for the Arduino Uno. The findings from this journal provide insight into the components utilized in the Coconut Grater and Coconut Squeezer machines and serve as a blueprint for their construction. This design aims to ensure the precise control of the Coconut Grater and Coconut Squeezer machines.

Abstract

PT. Sentracon Gemilang adalah Perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang kontruksi yang menghasilkan jasa dengan jumlah responden adalah 5 orang pekerja. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah postur kerja pada proses kerja tambal mortar, yaitu tubuh membungkuk, jongkok dan membawa beban yang menyebabkan cidera otot. Studi pendahuluan dengan wawancara bahwa pekerja memiliki keluhan otot pada bagian leher, kaki dan tangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keluhan yang dialami oleh pekerja menggunakan metode Nordic Body Map (MAP) dan Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). Identifikasi keluhan otot menggunakan metode RULA dengan bantuan software CATIA V5R20. Berdasarkan kuisioner NBM ditemukan keluhan rata-rata pekerja yaitu 85.6, artinya masuk dalam kategori tinggi dan memerlukan perbaikan. Kemudian analisis postur tubuh menggunakan metode RULA ditemukan keluham rata-rata pekerja yaitu 6 (orange), artinya pekerjaan ini beresiko tinggi sehingga memerlukan tindakan untuk dilakukan perubahan. Upaya dalam meminimalisir keluhan MSDs yang dirasakan pekerja yaitu memberi waktu untuk peregangan setiap 30-60 menit sekali.

Abstract

Kualitas produk menjadi faktor penting dalam industri flexible packaging yang kompetitif. PT ABC sebagai perusahaan dibidang ini berkomitmen untuk terus meningkatkan kualitas produknya dengan mengurangi angka defect produk agar dapat bersaing dengan kompetitornya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan pengukuran tingkat kecacatan, prioritas defect sebagai fokus perbaikan dan usulan pengendalian perbaikan berdasarkan nilai RPN. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah DMAIC sebagai langkah-langkah perbaikan secara berurutan dalam pengendalian kualitas, yang melibatkan pengambilan sampel data defect produk mesin rotogravure pada proses printing. Hasil penelitian diperoleh level sigma sebesar 3,97 dengan DPMO sebesar 6.701,046. Prioritas defect berdasarkan persentase kumulatif diagram pareto diantaranya adalah garis tinta 13,89%, kering-kering 12,62%, Blushing 11,04%, Misprint 10,74%, mottling 10,22%, warna belang 10,10% dan ink spot 10,03%. RPN tertinggi terdapat pada defect garis tinta akibat doctor blade kotor dengan RPN 252 dengan diusulkan pengendalian perbaikan yaitu memperhatikan kebersihan doctor blade saat proses dan pemasangan jarak sudut doctor blade serta blade holder berfungsi dengan optimal. Usulan pengendalian perbaikan berikutnya berdasarkan nilai RPN tertinggi dari masing-masing penyebab Critical to Quality.

Abstract

CVRP merupakan masalah paling sederhana dari VRP. Evolutionary Algorithm (EA) merupakan sebuah metaheuristic yang dapat diaplikasikan pada berbagai permasalahan optimasi, termasuk CVRP. Solver merupakan Excel Add-In untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan optimasi. Solver menggunakan tiga algoritma, yaitu LP Simplex, GRG Nonlinear dan EA. Dengan adanya kemampuan EA untuk menyelesaikan CVRP dan Solver yang mampu menjalankan EA, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penyelesaian CVRP dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan Solver. Russia-20-Nodes-CVRP Instance merupakan salah satu CVRP Instance yang terdapat pada Russian CVRP Instances. Dengan menggunakan EA & Solver, panjang rute terpendek dari Russia-20-Nodes-CVRP Instance adalah 15.884 Km.

Abstract

PT. J&T adalah perusahaan di bidang logistik dan ekspedisi yang beroperasi di Indonesia. Dalam kegiatannya, PT. J&T memiliki beberapa proses penting terkait logistik, seperti penyortiran paket, pengemasan, loading barang, seal bagging dan pengiriman. Namun, sebagian besar proses ini masih mengandalkan tenaga kerja manusia, sehingga faktor efisiensi dan ergonomi menjadi perhatian utama seperti pada proses loading dan seal bagging. Gerakan yang berlebihan, repetitif, serta postur pekerja yang tidak ergonomis bisa menjadi masalah dalam proses kerja. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, dilakukan penelitian dengan metode digunakan dalam mengukur dan mengoptimalkan waktu kerja yaitu Studi Gerak (Method study) dan Studi waktu (Work measurement). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas sekaligus memperhatikan kesejahteraan pekerja dengan harapan meningkatkan efisiensi dengan menghilangkan gerakan yang tidak perlu atau mengurangi jumlah waktu yang digunakan untuk gerakan tertentu. Kata kunci : Produktivitas, Studi Gerak, Studi Waktu.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using a heater as an alternative heater in fish and cracker drying machines. Conventional heating that uses sunlight or fossil fuels is often inefficient and inconsistent in producing the desired product quality. In this study, electric heaters were tested as the main heat source to overcome this problem. The experimental method was carried out by measuring drying time, energy consumption, and final product quality such as air content, texture, and nutritional value. The research results show that the use of a heater can reduce drying time by up to 30% compared to conventional methods. In addition, energy consumption is more efficient with more consistent product results in terms of texture and air content. The quality of the final product also increases with lower and more stable air content, as well as better texture compared to conventional drying. Therefore, the use of a heater as an alternative heater in fish and cracker drying machines can be considered an effective and efficient solution, providing economic benefits and better product quality.
