Abstract

The quality of primary and secondary education in Indonesia is still relatively low, due to the minimal fulfillment of basic and secondary education service standards, accompanied by rampant cases of corruption in the education sector. In an effort to improve school quality, it is necessary to have a routine evaluation program, one of which is through operational audits. The purpose of this study was to gain an in-depth understanding of the application of operational auditing in evaluating internal control at Zaid Bin Tsabit Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Bogor City. The audit is carried out through several stages, which in general can be grouped into three stages, namely: planning or preliminary survey, implementation and reporting. The implementation in the field resulted in audit findings which were weaknesses in operational activities at SDIT ZAID BIN TSABIT Bogor City. Then from the audit findings, development is carried out which aims to provide recommendations at the reporting stage so that management can make improvements. From the implementation of this operational audit, it is expected to improve the quality of education services at SDIT ZAID BIN TSABIT Bogor City, supported by transparency and accountability in the management of education services

Abstract

This study aims to find out how effective the use of the EMIS application is as a data collection system for Raudhatul Athfal (RA) education in Sumedang Regency. The application of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) application has great urgency for institutions, because the data entered determines a policy related to education funds such as School Operational Assistance (BOS) and the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP). The data contained in the EMIS application is also very necessary in making policies and managerial decisions to maintain the quality of education. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique combines 2 sampling techniques, namely purposive sampling and simple random sampling of 52 respondents. Data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and hypothesis testing with one sample t-test (one sample t-test) and assisted with SPSS Version 24. The results showed that the percentage of effectiveness of the EMIS application as an RA data collection system in Sumedang Regency, which was obtained from the respondents' responses, was of 75.25% which is based on the criteria for testing the hypothesis if the value of tcount ≥ ttable (6.04 ≥ 1.675), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Conflict is a natural process that is inherent in the nature of all relationships and can be overcome by constructive management. Conflict management in a positive direction requires a process and effort that is not easy. Conflict can be used as a stimulus to increase communication and quality of work, but it can also reduce the quality of one's performance if it cannot be controlled. Madrasas as educational institutions in carrying out the educational process and in achieving the desired vision cannot be separated from conflict so that it can become an inhibiting factor in achieving the goals that have been formulated together if not managed properly. This research is qualitative in nature because it is intended to describe and analyze phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, thoughts of people individually and in groups. The research model used is a case study model. Data collection in this study used participant observation, in-depth interviews, document studies and triangulation. The data analysis used involves three components of analysis, namely data reduction, data display, and verification. The results showed that the source of conflict at MTs DDI Kaluppang was due to a discrepancy or misunderstanding in communication or distortion of communication, the behavior of one of the personnel who was stubborn in imposing his will, and did not want to compromise on a joint decision that had been made. As for the steps taken in managing the conflict that occurred, namely by taking family steps, joint deliberations, being compromising on something controversial, being accommodative, being tolerant, and prioritizing togetherness values.

Abstract

This article discusses curriculum development in which many things must be considered in curriculum development, starting from understanding curriculum theories and concepts, curriculum development foundations and others related to the curriculum development process. The research method used is qualitative based on descriptive studies. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation studies carried out at MA Al Itqon. The results of this study are that the curriculum at MA Al Itqon uses the 2013 curriculum (K-13/Kurtilas) which has not yet implemented the independent learning curriculum, but in practice it is not entirely from the government because MA Al Itqon is a school that is in a boarding school environment. , which is equipped with Islamic boarding schools such as Tahsin, Qori/recitations, and Tahfidz. It is the pesantren program that is the advantage or uniqueness of this school, so the output of MA Al Itqon is that apart from being able to master general subjects it also masters other fields of religious knowledge. So the development of the curriculum at MA Al-Itqon is absolutely carried out dynamically to improve the quality of education in the future in accordance with the times..

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the role of student services and to analyze the satisfaction of UKM (Student Activity Units) and ORMAWA (Student Organizations) with the services provided by the student affairs bureau at Djuanda University, Bogor. This type of research is descriptive research with a mixed method approach. That is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research that is used together with the aim of obtaining more comprehensive, valid and objective data. The data collection technique used in this study was interviewing the head of the Djuanda University student bureau and completing a questionnaire by each head of the Student Activity Unit and Student Organizations at Djuanda University which would then be converted into qualitative information. The results of the study are described as follows: (1) Based on the results of the questionnaire analysis using a Likert scale, there is a total of 68.7% of respondents' satisfaction which illustrates that the level of satisfaction of the management of the Student Activity Unit and Student Organizations at Djuanda University is within category "satisfied" with an interval of 51% - 75%. And (2) Through observations and interviews conducted in this study, it was found that the role of student services carried out by the student bureau towards Student Activity Units and Student Organizations at Djuanda University, Bogor, has a fairly important role because everything and activities carried out by the Student Activity Unit and Student Organizations will always be supervised by the Student Affairs Bureau so that everything can be well organized. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that the student affairs bureau of Djuanda University will always improve services to the Student Activity Unit and Student Organizations at Djuanda University so that all activities carried out by the Student Activity Unit and Student Organizations can be well organized

Abstract

Administrative management includes starting from creating, managing, structuring to storing all information materials needed by the organization. Control Archives with Schedules Create, maintain and provide services to parties in need based on file archival interests, then select the files you want to destroy or save. or in other words, all work or activities related to archive management are called archive management. This research focuses on the role of school administration in managing Madrasah school records. The purpose of this study is to find out how administrators manage records. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, namely a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken language of people, and actors being observed, from the context of the individual as a whole, not in individual isolation and that is organized into variables, but consider it part of the requirements. Various techniques are used in data collection techniques in this research, namely interviews, observations and recording. The data analysis procedure used in this research is qualitative analysis. Based on the findings and discussion, the results of this research can be concluded that the role of governance in the school's efforts to manage school archives at the Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah Guppi Bintang Bayu Serdang Bedagai is carried out by storing all archives in archive storage cabinets. Archive management constraints are incomplete archive storage and irregular preparation of documents

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) as an effort to improve the quality of education at Djuanda University. This study is a qualitative research with a case study method. The research was conducted at Djuanda University, with the subject of the Quality Assurance and Institutional Development Agency (BPMPI). Data collection techniques: direct observation, search of documents and archives, and interviews. The results showed: (1) SPMI's policies and concepts in the form of academic documents and quality documents were prepared by BPMPI; (2) BPMPI as coordinator in planning and implementing SPMI at Djuanda university; (3) SPMI implementation is carried out by drafting the SPMI Cycle (PPEP); (4) Obstacles faced: leadership commitment, number of auditors, SPMI activities become routine; (5) Steps taken: providing quality assurance experts, training auditors, building a spirit of quality assurance; (6) SPMI Implementation Evaluation is carried out every year; (7) Utilization of SPMI implementation results: building a culture of quality, national and international accreditation and certification; and (8) SPMI implementation development refers to ISO quality management and BAN PT standards

Abstract

This study aims to explore the typology of independent learning at the time of the Prophet with an independent learning curriculum. The method in this study is descriptive qualitative with a library research approach. That is, this research is based on literature studies and not field studies. The sources of data in this study are related hadiths, and hadith themes related to education originating from hadith books, articles, papers and existing articles. Sources of data were obtained from original books of hadith which were searched manually, and using shof hadith, google book, google sholar and existing webseit. As for data analysis techniques, namely, data is collected, read, analyzed, and conclusions are drawn so as to find new information from research results. The results of the findings are that Merdeka learning at the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was carried out by people who were capable, skilled, intelligent and had high knowledge. While learning independence at this time only does not look at professionalism, instead existing students have the right to get independent learning. Furthermore, the conclusion of the truth from independent learning at the time of the Prophet was based on the Prophet Muhammad SAW. That is, the more progressive thinking in determining policies about something, still the words of the Messenger of Allah are true statements. Meanwhile, independent study in the Indonesian context, the truth of something from research results from students depends on the students after carrying out scientific research testing

Abstract

According to the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection in Indonesia there were 6.139 cases of violence that occured in the home, school, and community environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of conflit management in efforts to prevent and control acts of violence within the education unit. The subject of this study is counseling teacher at SMPN 59 Bandung City. This reasearch method used a qualitative field study approach by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The result of this study showed that violence occured only in the form of verbal abuse caused by jokes. Prevention efforts are carried out by participating in training, the declaration of Roots Day, and forming a agent of changes’ team in each class. The coping procedure goes through several stages, namely subject teacher, homeroom teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, and staff students. Therefore, SMPN 59 is able to implement conflict management in an effort to prevent and deal with acts of violence within the education sector

Abstract

Penelitian ini mempunya tujuan untuk mendiskripsikan tentang bagaimana meningkatkan kepercayaan dan reputasi lembaga pendidikan, bagaimana peningkatan efisiensi dan efektivitas manajemen pendidikan, dan bagaimana cara membangun komunikasi efektif untuk mempertahankan citra positif . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kepustakaan. Studi literatur diperoleh dari berbagai sumber seperti jurnal ilmiah, buku, makalah seminar, dan publikasi lain yang terkait dengan topik penelitian baik offline maupun online. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan model kualitatif interaktif. Model analisis data ini terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa langkah yang diambil untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan dan reputasi lembaga pendidikan  diantanya transparansi dan akuntabilitas, kualitas pendidikan yang unggul, partisipasi dan keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan, komunikasi efektif, fokus pada etika dan nilai, penghargaan dan pengakuan dan melibatkan alumni. Langkah untuk peningkatan efisiensi dan efektivitas manajemen pendidikan dengan cara perencanaan yang matang, evaluasi dan pemantauan berkala, peningkatan tata kelola, penggunaan teknologi, pengembangan sdm, kolaborasi dengan pihak eksternal, mengutamakan prioritas pendidikan dan pengelolaan keuangan yang bijaksana. Dan langkah dalam membangun komunikasi efektif untuk mempertahankan citra positif dengan melakukan klarifikasi identitas dan nilai lembaga pendidikan, komunikasi terbuka dan transparan, respon cepat dan tanggap, komunikasi positif tentang prestasi dan keberhasilan, melibatkan pemangku kepentingan dalam perencanaan dan evaluasi dan tetap terbuka terhadap umpan balik
