Abstract

Sexual violence in higher education is a serious issue that affects students' sense of safety, comfort, and their right to a dignified education. Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA) responded to this issue by establishing the Task Force for the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (Satgas PPKPT) and supporting student involvement through the student organization Cakra Harmoni. This organization serves as a strategic partner in preventive efforts through educational approaches, campaigns, and training programs. This study aims to describe student participation in preventing sexual violence through Cakra Harmoni. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving seven informants, including UKM administrators, academic advisors, and representatives from the Satgas PPKPT and the Sub-directorate of PPKIS UNESA. The findings show that students are actively involved in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs such as Anti-Violence Week, Valentine Talks, social media campaigns, and peer counselor training. Despite challenges like limited resources and divided focus among members, Cakra Harmoni plays a crucial role in fostering a campus culture that is responsive to sexual violence. Abstract

Strengthening environmental character through several processes is important in forming students who are responsible for the environment. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of strengthening environmental character to realize global citizenship education for students at SMA Wachid Hasyim 2 Taman. The theory used in this study is the theory of global citizenship education. There are three dimensions including knowledge (cognitive), attitudes (socio-emotional), and skills (psychomotor). The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were the vice principal for student affairs, the SDGs team coordinator, and members of the SDGs team. The data analysis technique used analysis by Miles and Huberman. The results of the study indicate that strengthening environmental character at SMA Wachid Hasyim 2 Taman Sidoarjo is through several processes. These processes are through contextual learning in the classroom, P5 activities, the SDGs team, and the SHW (Waqf Forest School) community. Through these processes, students become more aware of protecting and preserving the environment. This is evidenced by students cleaning their classrooms without being reminded, caring for the plants around the school, actively participating in environmental activities voluntarily, and reminding each other to work together to protect the environment. This is related to global citizenship education, which instills the values of responsibility and care for environmental issues and creates a sustainable environment.

Abstract

Child marriage is a complex social and economic problem that requires policies from the city government to address child marriage issues. In accordance with the policy of Surabaya Mayor Regulation Number 32 of 2024 Article 6 concerning the prevention of child marriage. The purpose of this study is to determine the strategy of Semampir District, Surabaya City in implementing Surabaya Mayor Regulation Number 32 of 2024 Article 6 concerning efforts to prevent and overcome the number of child marriages. The theory used is Public Policy according to Donald S. Van Meter and Carl E. Van Horn which has six criteria, namely policy objectives, resources, characteristics of implementing agents, disposition, communication, and economic, social, and political environments. The research method with a qualitative descriptive approach is related to explaining, describing, and describing in detail the role of Semampir District, Surabaya City in preventing child marriage. The number of informants was 3 informants taken based on purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was done by snowball sampling. The results of this study indicate that the Department of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection and Population Control of Surabaya City (DP3APPKB) through Semampir District, Surabaya City has several strategic programs in preventing child marriage in Surabaya City, which consist of Marriage Dispensation Counseling, Great Parents School, socialization, Surabaya Children's Forum, UPTD PPA, and partnerships with Regional Apparatus Organizations. The program is said to be successful, because the efforts made by Semampir District, Surabaya City have decreased from 17 cases of child marriage in 2022 to 5 cases in 2025. In addition, researchers hope that the community of Semampir District, Surabaya City will be more responsive to child care patterns. Keywords : Prevention, Semampir District, Child Marriage
