Abstract

This study aims to analyze the results of the validity of argumentation-based worksheets to improve students' scientific argumentation skills on global warming material. The method used in this study is the R&D method with 4D development. There are three stages used in this research, namely, defining and gathering various information related to the product; design, designing a content framework or outline; and development, namely, the implementation of product planning. Validity was assessed with a Likert scale. The aspects evaluated are the content presented, language, graphics, and construction. The analysis technique was carried out by calculating the results of the validity of the worksheets from 3 validators, namely two expert lecturers in the field of physics and a high school physics teacher. The research results obtained are from the content aspect validity of 100% in the very valid category; from the language aspect, the validity is 93.8% in the very valid category; from the graphical aspect, the validity is 95.8% in the very valid type, and construct validity is 97 .2% in the very valid category. Based on these results, the average worksheet validity value is 96.7%, with a very valid category. So it can be concluded that argumentation-based worksheets to improve scientific argumentation skills on global warming material are suitable for use as research instruments and can also be used in the learning process, especially in class X. So argumentation-based worksheets can facilitate students in practicing scientific argumentation skills in school, especially on global warming material.

Abstract

This research was to find of the validity of worksheets on global warming material based on Toulmin's argumentation to improve problem solving abilities. This research is research using the R&D method with the ADDIE development model. This model uses three stages in research, namely, the analysis stage, namely to find out the types of needs of students regarding global warming worksheets, the design stage, namely designing worksheets to be developed, and the development stage, namely compiling and implementing validation on the developed Toulmin argumentation-based worksheet. The validity of the developed worksheet is assessed from several aspects, namely, the didactic aspect is seen from the use of the worksheet, the constructive aspect is assessed from the use of sentences and the language used in the worksheet, and the technical aspect is seen from the appearance, title, design, etc. . The analysis technique was carried out by calculating the results of the validity of the worksheets from 3 validators namely, 2 expert lecturers and 1 high school teacher. The results of the analysis of the worksheets show that the average value of the three validators in the didactic aspect is 97.5% in the very valid category, in the constructive aspect it is 100% in the very valid category, and in the technical aspect it is 95% in the very valid category. Based on these results the average value of the validity of all aspects obtained a value of 97.5% with a very valid category. So it can be concluded that the worksheet on global warming material based on Toulmin's argumentation to improve problem solving abilities is feasible to use in the learning process. Abstract

This research aims to describe the theoretical and empirical validity of critical thinking test instruments based on science literacy on renewable energy materials that have been developed. This research stage refers to the limited ADDIE model whose steps include Analysis, Design, and Development. Research data was obtained through expert assessment tests and instrument trials. The test instrument was developed by referring to critical thinking indicators according to Facione which are aligned with science literacy competence. Test instruments are arranged in the form of description questions totaling 15 questions. Theoretical validity is obtained using validation sheets by three validators. Empirical validity was obtained through instrument trials on 30 students. The results of theoretical validity in the domains of material, construction and language respectively of 100%, 95% and 100% with an overall average of 98% are categorized as very valid. Empirical validity containing the validity of question items, reliability, difficulty and discriminating power obtained results of 60% of 15 questions or 9 questions declared feasible.

Abstract

Problem-solving skills must be possessed by students to find solutions or get answers to problems to be solved by methods based on their understanding, especially in the field of physics. One alternative that can be used to improve problem-solving skills is with problem-Based Learning (PBL) models. This study aims to compare the implementation of learning using Problem-Based Learning models as well as knowing the effect of learning with Problem-Based Learning models on problem-solving skills. The research method is expost facto. Data collection was carried out using techniques of library research and several five related articles were obtained after going through data reduction, namely between 2018 until 2022. The existing data was analysed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between the PBL model and the problem-solving skills of the experimental class and the control class. This is indicated by the results of the experimental class being higher than the control class in the value results from the pre-test and post-test, improvement of problem-solving skills, as well as improvement per indicator of problem-solving skills. The value of problem-solving skills is in the moderate category for the experimental class and the control class is in the low category. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the results of the PBL model have a higher value than the conventional model and the PBL model can improve students' problem-solving skills. Abstract

The level of scientific literacy among Indonesian students is low and continues to decline every year. This can be caused by several things related to the learning process at school. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of high school students' scientific literacy competence in atomic nucleus and radioactivity materials. The competency indicators analyzed refer to PISA 2018, namely: a) Explain phenomena scientifically, b) Evaluate and design scientific investigations, and c) Interpret data and evidence scientifically. This research is a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis method. The research was conducted in May 2023 in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year in one of the public high schools in Gresik Regency. The population in this study were 2 classes, namely XII IPA 4 and XII IPA 5, totaling 72 students. The sampling technique used random sampling taken from each class randomly with a total of 50 students. The instrument used was a science literacy test developed with a valid category and a reliability value of 0.492. The results of this study are the profile of students' science literacy competence obtained by 6% very low, 44% low, 14% sufficient, 30% high, and 6% very high. As for the average value of each indicator of scientific literacy competence, the average score is 67.6 with a high category for indicators explaining scientific phenomena, an average score of 50.8 with a low category for indicators evaluating and designing scientific investigations, an average score of 45.88 with a low category for indicators interpreting data and evidence scientifically. So that the overall average ability of students' scientific literacy competencies is categorized as sufficient. Keywords : Student profile, Scientific literacy, Atomic nucleus and radioactivity

Abstract

Abstract The research was conducted for the profile identifying the literacy capabilities of the scientists in solving global warming materials. This is descriptive research and the method of data collection is carried out with written tests and elevation of students. The results obtained were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. This study is done on 68 students of Class X in State High School 1 Kepohbaru, which showed that students of class X have very high literacy skills, although some students are still in very low categories. Scientifically phenomenal indicators have a presentation of 52%, indicators designing and evaluating scientifically research have a presentation of 40%, and indicators interpret scientific evidence and data have a Presentation of 31%. Based on the data, it can be concluded that the profile of students' ability to be scientifically literate in solving problems questions of physics is still very low. The level of science literacy ability also influences the problem solving, the better the problem resolution, the higher the profile of scientific literacy skills of students. Abstract

Scientific literacy is the ability which must be owned by the students to analyze and apply the concept of physics in solving daily life problem. This study aims to determine and analyze the validity of problem-based worksheets to improve scientific literacy skills in the developed global warming material. The method used is the Research & Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). In this study, three stages were used, namely the analysis stage, the design stage, and the development stage. At the analysis stage (analyze) by determining the worksheets that students need. At the design stage, the worksheet design is developed. At the development stage it was carried out by compiling and conducting validation which was carried out by 3 validators consisting of 2 expert lecturers and 1 high school teacher. The validity of the worksheet is assessed on the content and construction aspects. The advantages of the developed worksheet are using a problem-based learning model which contains real problems in everyday life and exercises indicators of scientific literacy. The drawback is that worksheets cannot be accessed digitally and two stages of implementation and evaluation have not been carried out. Based on both content and construction aspects, the total average of the three validators was 88.06%. The results of the validation show that the worksheet used is declared valid and can be used in the learning process to improve students' literacy skills and can be used as a solution in learning physics to improve scientific literacy skills. That way, the benefits of the research are the usefulness of the results of the research later, both for the benefit of developing worksheets and for the benefit of science. Abstract

Creative thinking skills have a tendency to be able to train students to come up with ideas and express themselves in the learning process. This research aims to determine the profile of creative thinking skills for integrated physics learning environmental learning on the subject of climate change involving 99 students in Jombang Regency. This research uses quantitative methods in analyzing the profile of students' creative thinking. The results of the analysis of creative thinking skills on climate change material for students in Jombang Regency, obtained the average of each creative thinking indicator, which is 21.75% so that students' creative thinking abilities at SMAN in Jombang Regency are categorized as not creative. it can be concluded that the ability of students on the creative thinking index related to climate change is categorized as not creative, and an integrated physics learning environment related to climate change is needed in the hope that students have a more meaningful physics learning experience because they directly interact with the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This research is survey research to analyze the needs of teachers and students for learning reference sources in the form of ebooks. This research is a part of development research, namely in the preliminary stage. Scientific literacy-based ebooks are ebooks that will be developed. The development of scientific literacy-based ebooks aims to help students understand physics material and can be used as a learning reference source besides school textbooks. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire. The questionnaire was then distributed using the Google form to high school physics teachers and high school students. Students need ebooks as a learning resource that can be opened through communication tools such as mobile phones. So that it can help students understand physics material and can learn practically anywhere. In addition, ebooks based on scientific literacy are expected to arouse students reading interest which is classified as low. Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of high school students' creative thinking abilities by using a creative thinking ability assessment instrument based on problem solving in renewable energy materials. The instrument is in the form of a description with reference to indicators of creative thinking (fluency, elaboration, originality, and flexibility) and the polya problem solving stage (understanding the problem, making plans, implementing plans, and seeing or re-examining). The instruments used were developed using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) and the data collection techniques used tests and questionnaires. The sample of this research was 60 students of class X MA Matholi'ul Anwar Lamongan for the 2022/2023 academic year. The results of the implementation of the instrument showed that the level of creative thinking ability of class X students of MA Matholi'ul Anwar Lamongan was 32% categorized as quite creative and 68% categorized as creative. The ability of students in each indicator to think creatively obtained the highest to the lowest score respectively on the aspects of fluency, elaboration, originality, and flexibility. The results of the analysis of the creative thinking ability profile of class X students of MA Matholi'ul Anwar Lamongan are categorized as quite creative and creative.
