Abstract

This study aims to compare the Arabic materials in the traditional Pondok Pesantren Al-Ansor and the Pondok Pesantren Al-Hasyimiyah Darul Ulum in North Sumatera. It is qualitative descriptive and comparative field research. Observation, interviews, and documentation were utilized to collect data for this study. This study's validity is examined using a triangulation of data sources. Data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion are the three phases of the data analysis technique. This study’s data analysis is inductive, with the researcher actively seeking for data, examining, analyzing, interpreting, and deriving conclusions from the observed phenomena. This study indicates that traditional Pondok Pesantren Al-Ansor and Pondok Pesantren Al-Hasyimiyah Darul Ulum Arabic language learning materials have similarities and differences. In the form of qawā’id, the material aspect of anāśir al-lugah is comparable. The distinction is whether the Arabic material is taught through a program or not, and the learning outcomes that result. The Arabic language material on the mufradāt and aṣwāt learning aspects are not explicitly stated in the learning program at Pondok Pesantren Al-Ansor as a traditional pondok pesantren, but the qawaid learning material aspect is the primary focus at Ponpes Al-Ansor. In terms of mufradāt and aṣwāt learning materials, Pondok Pesantren Al-Hasyimiyah produces students with superior kalām and istimā’ skills. The qawā’id material aspect, meanwhile, is not a priority program because learning is limited to what is in the textbook.

Abstract

Through the International Class Program (ICP), SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Inovasi Malang facilitates active English learning. Active English learning necessitates consistent actualization practice activities. Schools are expected to maximize the use of online media for educational purposes. This research explores technology-based ICP activities and the media used to optimize ICP program collaboration. This study employs a qualitative research method based on case studies; the data are presented descriptively. The investigation was conducted over the course of six months, from June to November of 2022. Several key informants, including principals, program coordinators, and program participants/students, were interviewed to collect data; they were assigned as research subjects. Additionally, researchers performed field observations and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The findings indicated that SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Inovasi Malang could take advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic by optimizing online media, such as virtual meetings in the ICP class. Instagram, YouTube, and video production are other media. Another finding is that space, time, and financial constraints can be effectively managed. Differentiated learning requires intensive assistance from Kampung Inggris supplemented by International Student Discussions and project-based learning. Nevertheless, this program must still surmount two obstacles: the low level of student self-confidence and the diversity of student abilities.

Abstract

Moral education as one of the critical elements in the educational process for students must be carried out under all circumstances. When there is sufficient technological infrastructure in place, online education is one of the most logical options during a pandemic.  Educators must prepare learning steps as the correct strategy for learning when implementing online learning, including those who teach Islamic Education.  Therefore, a systematic literature review employing the PRISMA Protocol was conducted for this study. Two objectives are presented: how online learning during a pandemic can be carried out, and how problem-based learning strategies can be used to influence students' morals in the context of online learning during a pandemic. The results of this study indicate that, in the context of a pandemic, educators must first prepare themselves for the online learning process, beginning with a comprehension of learning management system or internet-based education sites and progressing to the development of learning strategies. Second, educators can take advantage of problem-based learning which is operationally simple to implement during the pandemic, to shape the students’ morals. The author recommends further research on the implementation of PBL for fostering students' critical thinking in Islamic Education subjects.

Abstract

The majority of academic communities in madrasa access the madrasa website infrequently. It is related to the user’s perception of the madrasa website’s quality. This study seeks to determine how usability, information quality, and accessibility effect the frequency with which madrasa websites are visited. This study proposes a correlational quantitative research methodology. The research cohort consisted of 2401 MAN Surakarta students, and the sample size was 96. The method of sampling is proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Techniques of data analysis utilizing correlation analysis and single regression to test the hypotheses of single correlation, correlation, and multiple regression. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Usability has a positive effect on the intensity of website use; 2) Information quality has a positive effect on the intensity of website use; 3) Accessibility has a positive effect on the intensity of website use; and 4) Usability, information quality, and accessibility all have a positive effect on the intensity of website use. Usability, information quality, and accessibility collectively contribute 51.1% to the website's intensity, while the remaining 48.9% is influenced by unmeasured variables.

Abstract

This study seeks to characterize digital literacy competency development management for educators and teaching staff at State Madrasah Aliyah in Surakarta. This study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology. Interviews, observations, and documentation studies were used to collect data. Data analysis techniques incorporated interactive analytical techniques, such as data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. Method triangulation is implemented in data validity standards. According to the findings of this research project, there are three conclusions: First, the management of digital literacy competency development for educators and educational staff at Madrasah Aliyah Surakarta includes: (a) the implementation of planning with work meetings by formulating goals that are in line with the madrasah vision, mission, goals, and programs activity (b) organizing includes determining the madrasah digital literacy team's organizational structure, task distribution, and personnel. (c) the development of digital literacy competencies is implemented through informal programs and formal programs, such as workshops, training, seminars, and MGMP, which are designed to equip digital knowledge and skills, digital culture, digital ethics, and digital security. d) The Madrasah's head conducts internal evaluation and surveillance. Second, the supporting factors include assistance from the madrasah in the form of complete facilities, madrasah DIPA funds, and additional learning support in the form of scholarships that increase digital competence. Third, the nature of human resources (some educators are unaware of digital literacy, and participants are less enthusiastic about participating in development activities) hinders management development.

Abstract

The postmodernism movement is a new phase in the evolution of this era. Islamic education, particularly in Indonesian schools, confronts a number of challenges due to the postmodernism movement. Various problems experienced can come from internal or external. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze how the concept of Islamic education can be presented in the postmodernism period and how learning in the field of Islamic education faces it as an alternative for the next generation to remain superior humans beings. In this article, literature research is conducted with the description method, with the relevant books serving as sources and research materials, and Milles and Huberman data analysis techniques. In today's postmodernism, Islamic education must provide alternative learning to be in line with the era and always adjust to the progress of the era. Some alternatives in terms of education are applied in Islamic education learning. They are integrative religious education, multicultural education, gender equality-based education, religious moderation, and the role of teachers who are actively enganged in these solutions.

Abstract

Character education, according to Lickona, is a conscious attempt to assist someone in understanding, paying attention to, and carrying out essential ethical values. The Indonesian Ministry of National Education has established eighteen values for character education, one of which is tolerance. At the age of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, intelligence tolerance must be instilled. Almost all elementary schools apply thematic learning models, which encourage students to actively explore and discover scientific concepts and principles meaningfully. This study aims to analyze how to plan, implement, and assess the value of tolerance in thematic learning at elementary schools. The author is interested in researching the internalization model of tolerance values in thematic education conducted at MIN 3 Purbalingga, Indonesia. Researchers use a type of field research of a qualitative descriptive method based on the philosophy of post-positivism. The sampling technique was used as a source of information using purposive and snowball techniques. Observation, interviews, and documentation techniques were employed to collect data. There were three phases to the data analysis: reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the data analysis in the preparation stage for class teachers have developed a syllabus and lesson plans, but they do not include tolerance values. The implementation of learning the importance of tolerance to students is carried out by linking material to learning themes following the deal of patience. No specific format is specified in the lesson plan for the assessment process; the teacher evaluates by directly observing student activities and is regarded spontaneous during the learning process.

Abstract

The internet bandwidth has drastically improved since most schools have introduced multimodal teaching and learning. This allowed many students to explore various online learning platforms in search of expanded knowledge and skills. Like many other teenage students, Civil Technology students ventured into TikTok videos to learn and share ideas about designing house plans which they used to do a compulsory practical assessment task (PAT). This study explored students' experiences on how TikTok videos have opened doors for creativity in designing house plans, granny flats in particular. A qualitative research method was used, and a case study design was used for sixteen (16) civil technology students who were purposefully sampled to become respondents to the questions posed. Focused group interviews and document analysis were used to gather data and thematic as well as content analysis were used to analyse the sets of data. This study found that the students acquired more creative ways on TikTok to design single-storey house plans. They learned that they could design domestic houses without bricks or timber walls, but also glasses or shipping containers through 3D design. This increased their spatial ability to understand how house plans could be designed using various materials. Thus, this study recommends for habitual use of TikTok videos and live sessions to learn civil technology-building concepts to advance creativity when doing practical assessment tasks.
