Abstract

Family members who commit violence against each other are called domestic violence (KDRT). This form of violence can be physical, psychological, sexual or economic. Domestic violence often occurs in intimate relationships, but can also involve other family members, such as children or parents. One of the most common cases is violence against children, which can be found in various places throughout Indonesia's provinces. This is very paradoxical because parents are supposed to provide sincere love, guidance and education to children, who are supposed to be the next generation. The family, which should be a safe and comfortable place, actually creates fear for children. Children who experience physical, verbal, emotional, mental, or sexual abuse experience symptoms of mental disorders that can interfere with development and social interactions, according to research. To implement the Child Protection Law, the government, society and various parties must work together to create a positive environment that supports children's development. With the right steps, it is hoped that cases of violence against children can be minimized and victims receive the necessary protection.

Abstract

The historical journey of the Indonesian nation from the colonial era to independence can be understood as a paradigmatic journey. Politically, Indonesia underwent a transformation from a peripheral nation to an entity that took over the center of power through the proclamation of independence in August 1945, moving from the Dutch East Indies to the Republic of Indonesia. Not all nations that have achieved independence have tried to build a new life based on innovative principles. In this context, the role of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution (1945 Constitution) has a very important significance to these fundamental changes. Pancasila, as a basic state norm (staatssfundamentalnorm), functions as a grand design  for society and a new life in Indonesia. Similarly, the establishment of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the National Criminal Code (KUHP) still reflects the values of Pancasila as the country's basic norm which will come into effect in 2026. Law Number 1 of 2023 (New Criminal Code) introduces a number of new criminal concepts that are different from the previous Criminal Code. This renewal is expected to be able to answer the legal challenges faced today and replace colonial concepts that have become obsolete and no longer relevant in overcoming contemporary problems. This update covers three main issues in criminal law: first, the formulation of unlawful acts; second, criminal liability, both against individuals as perpetrators and against legal entities; and third, the type of crime and actions that can be applied. The change in the concept of penal in the National Criminal Code is influenced by the development of criminal theory, which shows a shift from a retributive approach to restorative justice. Therefore, the purpose of criminalization is not only to focus on punishment, but also to try to balance two aspects of community protection, namely the victim and the perpetrator.

Abstract

Information warfare in the context of asymmetric warfare poses a significant challenge to social and political stability in the digital era. This study is motivated by advancements in information and communication technology that enable instant dissemination of information, creating opportunities for state and non-state actors to exploit social vulnerabilities through disinformation and propaganda. The objective of this research is to analyze information warfare strategies in asymmetric warfare and their impact on national stability. Employing a qualitative method with a literature review approach, the study delves into concepts such as asymmetric warfare, social stability, and the digital era. The findings reveal that actors employ framing, agenda-setting, and disinformation techniques to create polarization and undermine the legitimacy of social institutions. Social media serves as a key tool in propagating highly effective propaganda. The study concludes that digital literacy and stronger social media regulations are critical for enhancing social resilience. Recommendations include developing comprehensive digital literacy programs, utilizing AI-based early detection technologies, and strengthening collaboration between the government and civil society.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of minimum wage, economic growth, and unemployment rate on the poverty rate in Sumatra Island, Indonesia. The data used is panel data from 10 provinces in Sumatra during the period 2016-2023.The analysis was conducted using the Random Effects Model (REM) method with EViews 12 software. The findings indicate that the minimum wage variable exerts a significant negative influence on the poverty rate, while economic growth demonstrates no substantial effect. Conversely, the unemployment rate exhibits a significant negative impact on poverty. These observations align with the principles of the Wage Efficiency theory and the Social Security Theory, underscoring the significance of augmenting the minimum wage and implementing policies to manage unemployment in efforts to alleviate poverty. However, it is important to note that national economic growth has not been sufficient to meaningfully address the issue of poverty, underscoring the necessity for a more targeted strategy that focuses on enhancing accessibility to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities for disadvantaged populations.

Abstract

In the era of modern technology, the development of communication and computer networks plays an important role in supporting the efficiency and productivity of the company. This research was conducted at PT XYZ, which currently faces several obstacles in the available communication network. This research aims to design and analyze a more effective and efficient communication system and computer network to increase company productivity. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with systematic steps in understanding empirical phenomena related to computer networks. The network design process is done through simulation using Cisco Packet Tracer, which allows testing the network topology before real implementation, thus reducing costs and risk of damage. The results show that the designed network design can overcome the existing communication constraints at PT XYZ. The simulation ensures that the network device configuration is running optimally, characterized by successful ping results and satisfactory connectivity testing. The use of Cisco Packet Tracer in this research helps in visualizing the network topology, simplifying analysis, and ensuring configuration according to company needs.

Abstract

Trichothecenes, pose significant health risks to humans and animals by contaminating food and feed. These toxins are classified into Type A and Type B. Type A trichothecenes are commonly detected in various food matrices, while Type B trichothecenes contaminate crops and are linked to alimentary toxicities, including emetic reactions. Advanced detection methods such as liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry are widely used. Biological controls, such as Debaryomyces hansenii, have shown promise, reducing toxin content and suppressing pathogen spread. Trichothecenes exhibit ribotoxic, pro-inflammatory, and cytotoxic effects, making their management a critical focus in food safety. This review comprehensively explores detection techniques, management strategies, and the impact of trichothecene contamination on human health, emphasizing its relevance in public policy and food security.
