Abstract

Baros Information Technology Creative (BITC) is a virtual office service provider based in Cimahi that requires adaptive, engaging, and seasonally contextual user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) support to enhance user appeal and engagement. This study aims to design the UI/UX of BITC’s virtual office e-commerce website with a Christmas theme using the Design Thinking methodology. This approach was selected for its iterative and user-centered nature, enabling in-depth exploration of user needs and the development of contextually relevant design solutions. The design process was carried out through five stages—empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test—involving five respondents selected through purposive sampling. User requirements were gathered via interviews and surveys, then translated into design concepts visualized through interactive prototypes. Usability testing was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS), adapted to suit the seasonal theme context. The test results yielded an average SUS score of 82, categorized as “good” with an “excellent” level of acceptance, indicating that the resulting design is user-friendly, visually relevant, and supports seasonal promotional strategies. This study reinforces previous findings that user-centered design approaches are effective in improving interface quality and user experience, while also offering a novel contribution through the application of seasonal themes within the context of professional digital services.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the Mentorku application as a learning support tool for students through a mentor recommendation system based on expertise. The recommendation system uses a Content-Based Filtering (CBF) approach with TF-IDF and Cosine Similarity algorithms to match user needs with mentor profiles. The application development process follows the agile method using the Scrum framework, which includes the stages of Product Backlog, Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. This application provides key features such as mentor search, live mentoring sessions, private discussions, chat, and one-on-one mentoring. Beta testing results show that 79% of respondents stated that the application is usable and capable of providing relevant recommendations according to learning needs. These findings indicate that the Mentorku application is effective in helping to overcome unstructured learning problems through direct interaction with mentors.

Abstract

Utama Aluminium is a business engaged in the sale of glass cabinets. The problem faced in the operational activities of this business is irregularity in the management of raw material supplies. This condition is caused by inconsistency in supply from suppliers, which results in stock shortages and delays in orders, and on the other hand, there have also been instances of excess raw materials. The purpose of this study is to design a raw material inventory management application system for the glass cabinet production process, in order to optimize the management of raw material inventory, which has been a challenge in production activities at Utama Aluminium. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method, with a case study approach at the company concerned. The results of implementing a web-based supply chain management (SCM) system showed a significant increase in efficiency: process time decreased by up to 40% through system automation and integration, operational costs were reduced by up to 25% due to labor efficiency and a decrease in error rates, stock accuracy increased to 95% with supplies matching demand, lead time was reduced by an average of 2 days, and the number of product returns decreased by up to 30% thanks to more accurate data information. This research can help the MSME sector improve distribution efficiency and inventory accuracy.

Abstract

Consensus mechanisms play a crucial role in determining the efficiency and scalability of blockchain systems. The two most commonly used algorithms are Proof of Work and Proof of Stake, each exhibiting distinct performance characteristics under high transaction loads. This study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of both consensus mechanisms through a simulation-based experimental approach. Testing was conducted using the Hardhat framework in a local environment under two primary scenarios: transaction scaling and burst transaction.Four evaluation metrics were employed: throughput, transaction latency, finality time, and mempool congestion. The results indicate that Proof of Stake consistently outperforms across all four metrics, demonstrating high throughput, stable latency and finality time, and controlled mempool congestion. In contrast, Proof of Work shows a significant decline in performance under heavy load due to its static and non-adaptive mining process.The Mann-Whitney U statistical test confirms that the performance differences are statistically significant across nearly all metrics. This research provides deeper insights into the strengths and limitations of each consensus mechanism under high-load conditions using Hardhat, and contributes to a broader understanding of blockchain scalability in real-world applications. The findings suggest that Proof of Stake is more suitable for large-scale blockchain implementations that demand high efficiency and speed.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of public satisfaction with the performance of census officers using the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithm and the Chebyshev Distance measurement method. In this study, data were collected through field interviews with 239 respondents who were grouped into five satisfaction categories: Very Satisfied, Satisfied, Fairly Satisfied, Dissatisfied, and Very Dissatisfied. The KNN model applied using Python produced an accuracy of 75%, precision of 44%, and recall of 71% with k = 3. The results of the study show that KNN can classify the level of public satisfaction quite well, although the accuracy obtained still shows potential for improvement. This study suggests that further research be conducted using more complex methods to improve classification results.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology continues to drive innovation in the banking sector, particularly in the development of mobile banking services that are more responsive to customer needs. Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) has responded to this demand by launching the Wondr application as a replacement for its previous BNI Mobile Banking platform, which has received a wide range of user feedback on the Google Play Store.This study was conducted to understand user opinions and perceptions regarding the Wondr application, with the aim of evaluating feedback that could serve as a strategic basis for enhancing BNI’s digital services. The approach employed sentiment analysis using the Naive Bayes Classifier, implemented in Python. The dataset consisted of 27,124 user reviews.The classification results revealed that 52.9% of the reviews were positive, 39.9% negative, and 7.2% neutral. The Naive Bayes model achieved an accuracy of 82%, although its performance in identifying neutral sentiment remained weak, as evaluated through precision, recall, and F1-Score metrics.These findings indicate that the Wondr application is generally well received by users, although certain aspects still require improvement. The study recommends further exploration of alternative classification algorithms such as Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Deep Learning methodologies, as well as the application of SMOTE techniques to address data imbalance, particularly in neutral sentiment classification.

Abstract

Obesity is a condition caused by an imbalance between energy intake and expenditure, characterized by excessive fat accumulation in the body. Obesity is influenced by four factors, namely genetics, economics, lack of activity, and diet. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the SMOTE method in improving the accuracy of classification in the Support Vector Machine method and to compare the accuracy of the Support Vector Machine method with the SMOTE and non-SMOTE techniques on adolescent obesity data. The dataset used was obtained from the Kaggle website, which contained 2,111 records. The model evaluation used a confusion matrix with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score measurements and used 80:20 data splitting. The results showed that the SVM model using Smote performed well with an accuracy of 88% for Linear SVM, 82% for RBF SVM, and 93% for Polynomial SVM, while the SVM model without Smote achieved an accuracy of 88% for Linear SVM, 79% for RBF SVM, and 91% for Polynomial SVM. The best classification model was then implemented into a Streamlit-based web application to facilitate the process of automatically predicting obesity levels, thereby helping to raise awareness of the potential risks of obesity.

Abstract

Tobacco sales by local businesses often face challenges in recording transactions and managing customer data. This study focuses on the design and development of a Laravel-based sales information system using the Waterfall methodology approach. The development of this system involves a series of processes that include needs identification, architecture design, design, testing, and system maintenance. This system contributes to the digitization of tobacco MSMEs with a time efficiency in recording of up to 45%. System testing indicates an increase in effectiveness in transaction data management and sales report presentation. With this system, it is hoped that business actors will achieve improvements in digitizing their business processes effectively and measurably.

Abstract

Complaints are an important part of village governance as a means for the community to convey their aspirations, complaints, and reports related to public services. In some areas, the complaint process is still carried out manually due to limited digital infrastructure, resulting in slow handling and poor documentation. This study aims to develop a Progressive Web App (PWA)-based public complaint system that can still be used even without an internet connection, utilizing Service Worker, Cache API, and IndexedDB technologies. The system was developed using the Rational Unified Process (RUP) approach with the stages of inception, elaboration, construction, and transition. System modeling used Unified Modeling Language (UML) to describe the process flow. The programming language used is Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP). Testing was conducted using the black box method and the System Usability Scale (SUS). The test results showed a SUS score of 73.3, which falls into the “Good” category. This research resulted in a public complaint system that continues to function even without an internet connection, so that complaints made by the public can still be sent without being constrained by the internet network.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem presensi personel berbasis web dan mobile pada Instansi ABC guna meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi dalam proses pencatatan kehadiran. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan framework Flutter untuk aplikasi mobile dan Laravel untuk aplikasi web. Dalam implementasinya, sistem ini mengintegrasikan fitur face recognition sebagai metode autentikasi kehadiran berbasis wajah, serta geolocation untuk memastikan presensi hanya dapat dilakukan dalam radius lokasi yang telah ditentukan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu meminimalisir potensi kecurangan, mempercepat proses rekap data kehadiran, dan memberikan kemudahan akses bagi personel maupun admin. Selain itu, sistem dilengkapi dengan fitur pengajuan dan persetujuan perizinan, yang mendukung proses administrasi kehadiran secara digital dan terintegrasi. Dengan demikian, sistem ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi presensi yang lebih efektif, efisien, dan akurat dalam mendukung operasional kepegawaian di Instansi ABC. Selain itu, secara keilmuan penelitian ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan sistem informasi berbasis biometrik dan geolokasi, serta penerapan integrasi web serta mobile untuk mendukung efisiensi proses manajemen kehadiran.
