Abstract

Objective pain detection is a major challenge in the medical field because pain is subjective and difficult to measure accurately, particularly in patients who are unable to communicate. This study aims to identify and analyze both sensor-based and non-sensor technologies used in pain detection, as well as to evaluate technological development trends in this domain. The methodology employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA protocol, involving rigorous search and selection processes across the Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases. Out of a total of 3,559 identified articles, 130 studies were selected after screening and quality assessment. All eligible articles were then analyzed by extracting information relevant to the research topic. The findings indicate that physiological sensors such as EDA, ECG, EMG, and EEG, along with non-sensor technologies such as facial expression analysis and hybrid approaches combining physiological and non-sensor methods, represent the primary strategies for pain detection. Current trends include the adoption of wearable devices, federated learning, and explainable AI. Moreover, sensor technologies play a pivotal role in healthcare by integrating diverse physiological and behavioral data to support automated decision-making, thereby enhancing efficiency and accuracy in pain diagnosis. This study recommends the development of pain detection systems that are more accurate, adaptive, and ethical, as well as clinical trials in real-world settings to improve the validity and acceptance of these technologies in medical practice.

Abstract

The issue of household waste is a crucial issue that has a direct impact on environmental cleanliness and public health. This study aims to develop a web-based household waste density prediction system using the Laravel framework, employing linear regression to model the relationship between time and waste volume. The research data was obtained through a survey of a number of families who recorded their weekly waste volume in kilograms. This system is designed to provide estimates of waste volume for the following week based on historical data patterns, thereby helping the community and environmental managers at the neighborhood association (RT/RW) level to plan waste collection and transportation more efficiently. The linear regression method was chosen because it is simple yet effective in describing trends in waste volume changes over time. The implementation results show that the system is capable of producing predictions that are close to actual conditions, equipped with informative graphics and a user-friendly interface. With this system, household waste management can be carried out in a more planned, efficient, and data-driven manner.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and optimize a daily sales prediction model based on time series data using the Light Gradient Boosting Machine (LightGBM) algorithm on online retail data from the Olist marketplace. The research process began with merging and aggregating e-commerce transaction data into a daily format, followed by outlier handling using the Interquartile Range (IQR) capping method, and feature engineering to add temporal and historical information such as prev_day_sales and day_of_week. The dataset was then split into training and testing sets using a time-based split approach. A baseline model was trained with default parameters and subsequently optimized through hyperparameter tuning using GridSearchCV with TimeSeriesSplit cross-validation. Evaluation was conducted using MAE, RMSE, and R² metrics. The results show that the tuned model improved prediction accuracy, with MAE reduced by 5.34%, RMSE decreased by 8.34%, and R² increased by 0.76%. The one-day-ahead daily sales prediction reached R$ 1,676.86 and closely followed the actual sales pattern. This study demonstrates that a systematic approach involving data preprocessing, feature engineering, and parameter tuning can produce a more accurate, stable, and practical sales prediction model to support decision-making in the e-commerce sector. Theoretically, this research contributes to strengthening the understanding of the effectiveness of the LightGBM algorithm in daily time series modeling, particularly through the integration of temporal feature engineering and systematic parameter tuning strategies. These findings underscore the importance of a comprehensive approach in building accurate sales prediction models.

Abstract

SMP 1 Sukawening, located in Sukawening, West Java, is a junior high school (SMP) committed to providing quality education and equipping students with practical skills. However, the school still uses banners as a method of introduction, which are less effective in displaying attractive visuals. Therefore, this study proposes a web-based virtual tour to introduce the school environment interactively. This technology provides an innovative way for prospective students to explore the school environment thoroughly without the need for a physical visit. The purpose of this research is to implement a web-based Virtual Tour. To implement the Web-based School Introduction Virtual Tour, the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method with six stages is used, namely: concept, design, material collection, creation, testing, and distribution. It is hoped that this research will bring innovation in school introductions that are more interesting, effective, and easily accessible, so that prospective students and parents can obtain more comprehensive information about the school without having to visit physically.

Abstract

Traffic congestion does not only occur in urban areas, but is also beginning to be felt in rural areas, especially on main roads connecting villages. This condition can hamper community mobility and inter-regional logistics distribution. To overcome this problem, this study specifically designed and implemented a congestion prediction system on village roads by utilizing historical traffic data, weather conditions, and community activities as the main parameters. The classification method used is the Rule-Based System algorithm. The results of this system can be used by village governments or local transportation managers to take preventive measures, such as adjusting logistics distribution schedules or deploying traffic officers. The system was tested in a village in Central Java, with a prediction accuracy of 87%. These results demonstrate the system's potential in assisting traffic management in villages.

Abstract

Tantangan dalam meningkatkan minat belajar Fisika di tingkat SMP sering dikaitkan dengan banyaknya materi yang harus dihafal, pembelajaran yang monoton, serta minimnya alat bantu interaktif. Hasil wawancara dengan guru Fisika di SMP PGRI Karangpawitan menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya minat siswa dipengaruhi kurangnya variasi metode pengajaran. Seiring perkembangan teknologi, media pembelajaran berbasis Android dipandang sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman sekaligus ketertarikan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengembangkan aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif Android untuk materi Fisika kelas VII SMP. Materi yang dimuat meliputi rumus massa jenis, gaya, hukum Newton III, kalor, perubahan suhu, kelajuan, kecepatan rata-rata, percepatan, perpindahan, berat gaya, energi kinetik, dan energi potensial, yang diambil dari buku IPA kelas VII. Pengembangan aplikasi dilakukan dengan metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) yang meliputi enam tahap: Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing, dan Distribution. Aplikasi menyajikan materi melalui penjelasan, animasi, kuis, dan permainan perjodohan rumus untuk menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang variatif dan interaktif. Pengujian dilakukan dengan Blackbox Testing untuk mengevaluasi fungsi serta User Acceptance Test (UAT) guna menilai penerimaan pengguna. Hasil uji terhadap 13 responden menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan 91,4%, termasuk kategori “Sangat Layak”. Hal ini menegaskan bahwa aplikasi mampu berfungsi efektif sebagai media pembelajaran, sekaligus memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik, fleksibel, dan menyenangkan bagi siswa SMP. Selain manfaat praktis dalam membantu siswa memahami rumus Fisika, penelitian ini juga memberikan kontribusi akademik dengan menerapkan metode MDLC pada pengembangan aplikasi edukasi berbasis Android. Evaluasi menggunakan UAT menegaskan aspek usability aplikasi, sehingga dapat dijadikan rujukan dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif lainnya.

Abstract

The use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology is growing as an innovative solution for product promotion in the digital age. This study aims to develop a web-based promotional medium for car spare parts with AR features at the Alfa Jaya Wheels store, in order to increase marketing effectiveness and make it easier for consumers to recognize products such as wheels, tires, and bolts without having to come directly to the store. The application was designed and developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, which includes the stages of concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The results of the study show that the application is capable of displaying 3D models of spare parts interactively and in real-time, thereby supporting the consumer decision-making process. The implementation of web-based AR has been proven to increase the visual appeal of promotions, expand market reach, and add value to the marketing strategy of spare parts stores in the digital era.

Abstract

The manual monitoring process for students receiving the Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP-K) at Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia is currently considered inefficient, lacking objectivity, and without a centralized system or early warning mechanism. These fundamental shortcomings pose a risk to the academic performance of students who go unmonitored, thereby undermining the program’s goal of maintaining academic quality.This study aims to address these issues by designing and implementing an objective assessment model within a decision support system. The method employed is Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), specifically enhanced by a multi-indicator approach to improve objectivity. This approach systematically quantifies qualitative criteria—such as organizational involvement—into measurable numerical scores, alongside other indicators such as GPA and attendance.The criteria and preference weights used in the model were validated through interviews with relevant stakeholders and a questionnaire distributed to 50 respondents. The result of this research is a functional system capable of automating the assessment process, accurately generating student performance rankings, and providing proactive email notifications as an early warning mechanism.It is concluded that the implementation of the SAW method, reinforced by a multi-indicator approach, is an effective solution. The application of this method has proven to enhance accuracy, transparency, and efficiency in data-driven monitoring of KIP-K students, while also serving as a reliable and transparent decision-making tool for student affairs administrators. Abstract

Proses presensi di Fakultas Komunikasi dan Informasi Universitas Garut yang masih bersifat semi-manual menimbulkan sejumlah kendala, seperti keterlambatan rekapitulasi, ketergantungan pada verifikasi manual oleh admin, serta potensi kesalahan input data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi proses presensi melalui pendekatan Business Process Management dan metode streamlining, dengan menyederhanakan aktivitas yang non-produktif dan merancang ulang alur kerja yang lebih efektif. Metode yang digunakan mencakup Process Discovery, Process Analysis, serta Process Redesign, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dengan dosen, mahasiswa, dan admin akademik, studi dokumentasi, serta pemodelan menggunakan notasi Business Process Model and Notation. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya duplikasi input dan tidak tersedianya notifikasi otomatis untuk absensi dosen maupun jadwal pengganti. Model To-Be yang diusulkan meliputi integrasi fingerprint secara real-time ke dalam SIMAK, fitur unggah surat izin oleh mahasiswa, dan notifikasi otomatis melalui sistem. Model ini terbukti dapat meningkatkan efisiensi, mengurangi beban kerja administratif, serta memperkuat transparansi presensi akademik.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) volunteers face significant challenges in recording community needs because the process is still carried out manually and unstructured. This approach results in collected data often being scattered, difficult to analyze systematically, and ultimately hindering the effectiveness and speed of coordination in distributing aid. To overcome these problems, this study aims to design and build an integrated web- and mobile-based community needs monitoring system. This system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which enables a fast and iterative development process. The mobile application serves as a tool for volunteers in the field to report needs in real time, while the web platform is used by managers for validation, assignment, and monitoring. Key features such as data visualization through heat maps, forms with automatic GPS, and photo uploads are integrated to improve data accuracy. Beta testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) approach resulted in an average score of 76.25, which falls into the “Good” (Grade B) category. These results show that the system, built using Next.js, React Native, and PostgreSQL, has a high level of stability and has the potential to become a strategic tool for improving data collection efficiency and optimizing the distribution of social assistance digitally.
