Road is a land transportation infrastructure that covers all parts of the road, including complementary buildings and equipment intended for traffic. Road Structure Improvement is one project that aims to improve the quality of roads. As the object of work to be studied is the widening of the sp. Ujung Aji - Limits of the City of Kabanjahe. Road construction with a flexible layered pavement with cover or without overlays is usually often damaged such as: cracks, hollows, bumps on the road surface. In other conditions it is often seen that the grooves of the former water flow to the subgrade are visible. The situation is more extreme and often occurs, namely the road surface peels to reach the foundation layer, so that the aggregate looks scattered. This study uses the direct observation method in the widening project of Jalan Simpang Ujung Aji - Bts. Kabanjahe City. This research was carried out at the time of laying and compaction of the bottom road foundation layer such as Base B and Base A. Activities carried out included data collection, data processing, analysis and observations in the Laboratory. The results of the filter analysis of rough gradations are good, which is in the middle between the given gradation boundaries, does not coincide and does not come out of the given gradation limit. Based on aggregate filter analysis data, it can be concluded that the results of the gradation of aggregate class A percent are retained and passed the filter in accordance with the general specifications of Bina Marga 2010 revision 3 and according to class A aggregate planning. the specimen is completely waterless, so the weighing results in the right balance.

Medan City as the location chosen in this study, has an area of 265.00 km2 with a population of 2,210,624 people and is increasing every year (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2015). With the increasing population of the city increasing activity and the number of good people traveling well. The city of Medan is currently promoting quite rapid development, a development from now on with the change in New settlements in the region which were built by settlement developers who also increased transportation development. It is very interesting to discuss about regional settlements in the city of Medan, especially in terms of trip generation. The housing area that is the object of research is part of land use in the Medan city area. From the research results, the best model that can be used at this time can be applied in housing location planning, namely the linear multiple regression model on luxury housing types, namely Y1 = 3.373 + 1.569 X1 + 0.139 X4 + 0.456 X6, therefore the findings that can be found are the variables that have an impact on the trip generation from housing. The value of the variable Number of family members (X1) is equal to 1,569 X1, it can be interpreted as increasing the value of the number of people who will increase travel production by 1,569 trips / family / day. The value of the variable number of motorcycle ownership (X4) is 0.139 X4 which means increasing the number of one unit will increase travel production by 0.139 trips / family / day. The value of the variable number of families attending school (X6) is 0.456 X6 which is related to an increase of one person increasing the production of trips that is equal to 0.456 trips / family / day.

Cases of nosocomial infections in Indonesia are increasing every year. One of the reasons is hospital equipment that is not sterile and poorly maintained in public facilities used in hospitals such as sheets, pillowcases, blankets, curtains, towels, and patient clothes. Everything made from fabrics can be contaminated by bacteria causing infections. In this research, the preparation of antibacterial based on titanium dioxide (TiO2) and its application to the fabric using a simple methodology. Cross-linking using Maleic Acid and catalyst using sodium hypophosphite. The dip-coating method is used to coat the fabric. Then, fabric washing is carried out to see the decrease in the amount of TiO2. Plate Count Method is carried out to see the antibacterial activity on the fabric. Fabric characterization was carried out using SEM and FTIR. SEM shows that TiO2 particles distributed throughout the fabric surface. After washing 10 times, there is a reduction in the amount of TiO2 in the fabric. FTIR aims at cross-linking between TiO2 and fabric. Meanwhile, testing for antibacterial activity showed that no bacteria appeared in all samples.

AbstrakTelah dilakukan pembuatan Pot Organik dengan menggunakan bahan Batang Kecombrang (Etlingera elatior) dan Tepung Tapioka sebagai bahan perekat. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pot organik sebagai media persemaian untuk pengganti polybag berbahan dasar plastik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Metode Eksperimen dengan memvariasikan komposisi antara Batang Kecombrang dan Tepung Tapioka. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh berat pot antara 800-820 gr, ketebalam pot organik diantara 3 - 4 cm, ketahanan pot organik terhadap tetesan air hujan dengan menggunakan batang kecombrang sebagai bahan dasar dengan energi kinetik maksimal 15,6x10-3 Joule dan kadar air pada pot organik dari batang kecombrang 31,52 – 32,63 % dengan tiga kali pengulangan. Pot organik yang dibuat dengan kombinasi antara batang kecombrang dengan tepung tapioka baik digunakan sebagai media pembibitan tanaman. Abstract Organic Pot has been made by using Kecombrang (Etlingera elatior) and Tapioca Starch as an adhesive. The research aims to get organic pots as a nursery media to replace polybags made from plastic. The study was conducted using the Experimental Method by varying the composition between Kecombrang and Tapioca Starch. From the research results obtained pot weight between 800-820 gr, the thickness of organic pots between 3-4 cm, the resistance of organic pots to raindrops by using kecombrang stems as a base material with a maximum kinetic energy of 15.6x10-3 Joules and water content in the pot organic from stem kecombrang 31,52 - 32,63% with three repetitions. Organic pots made with a combination of kecombrang stems and tapioca flour are good as a medium for plant nurseries

Building structures, especially buildings, are always modified by the designer or building designer during the work. Changes that are made generally always result in an additional excess load from the initial plan on the structural members. The structural part reviewed in this study is a short console beam structure which is given a gradual increase in the load from the target load plan. Console beams are made using reinforced concrete material and formed by forming foundation plates and columns of reinforced concrete as a binding structure for these beams. The test is carried out after the specimen blocks have passed 28 (twenty eight) days of concrete and are given gradual loads until shear failure occurs. The console beam is then reinforced with carbon fiber wrap and is re-treated due to the use of epoxy or adhesive material for carbon fiber wrap adhesive with reinforced concrete. The test was carried out again by adding a gradual load to the failed structure reinforced with carbon fiber wrap. The test is carried out until the specimen fails or collapses. The results of this study conclude that the short console structure which is designed with a cross section size of 100 mm x 200 mm which experiences shear failure also experiences shear failure in its column. The increase in the strength of the short console beam after reinforced with Carbon Fiber Wrap is 83% for Test Object 1 with stirrup reinforcement f 6-150 and an increase of 85% for test object 2 with stirrup reinforcement f 6-100.

Salah satu budaya material (artefak) adalah hasil karya arsitektural. Di antaranya adalah arsitektur yang diberi predikat sebagai “arsitektur khas daerah”. Selain rumah adat tradisional, bangunan lain yang menjadi simbol suatu daerah dan juga sebagai salah satu marka atau ciri sebuah kawasan adalah kantor pemerintah daerah. Arsitektur khas suatu daerah mengacu pada karakter tertentu pada bangunan yang terdapat di daerah tersebut. Karakter lain sebagai pendukung yang memperkuat ciri khas adalah dengan menampilkan bagian dalam ruang (interior) pada bangunan. Suatu gedung berdiri tidak hanya sebagai bangunan, tetapi terdapat nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya. baik secara fisiologis maupun kosmologis yang menjadi kekhasan yang berlaku di suatu daerah. Hal-hal yang khas tersebut menjadi ciri penanda arsitektur-interior suatu daerah.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan nilai – nilai kearifan lokal kantor bupati padang lawas yang dapat mengakomodasi aspek sosial dan budaya masyarakat melalui pendekatan perilaku lingkungan dan bentuk bangunan sekitar. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, metode penelitian dengan cara observasi partisipatif akan dilakukan pada setiap komunitas bangunan dominan yang ada di lokasi. Melalui pengamatan ini akan diketahui bagaimana konsep bangunan di padang lawas. Data bentuk bangunan akan diproses untuk menghasilkan kriteria bentuk perkantoran di padang lawas.Luaran wajib dari penelitian, artikel ini akan dimuat di jurnal terakreditasi nasional sinta 6. Sebagai luaran tambahan akan di muat di jurnal internasional berindeks scopus. Tingkat Kesiapan Teknologi ( TKT ) penelitian akan di usulkan berada di tingkat 2 dimana telah di formulasikan konsep teknologi dan aplikasinya.

The Grand Mosque accommodates educational activities, a means of interaction, a good place of worship in Tanjungbalai City. Construction of a representative Grand Mosque which becomes the area's "Land Mark" and becomes "City Icon". Then the Planning Activities of the Great Mosque of Tanjungbalai City will be carried out.The construction of the Grand Mosque must pay attention to efficiency, environmental safety, and environmental aesthetics. Environmental security can be achieved by paying attention to the stability of building construction. One of the factors that must be considered in the stability of a mosque is the stability of the foundation. The foundation is a structure that functions to transmit the loads that work on the mosque building to the soil layer below it. In general, the foundation can be divided into shallow foundation and deep foundation. The location of the hard soil layer and the type of soil will affect the selection of the type of foundation, the calculation of the bearing capacity of the foundation, and the settlement that occurs.This study aims to analyze the choice of the right type of foundation to be used by taking into account the stability of the construction. For this reason, it is necessary to analyze the use of the type of foundation in the building of the Tanjungbalai City Grand Mosque.

Research on the effect of the composition of Used Tires powder as additives to the strength of Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (Ac-Wc). Before the making of the specimen, do Design and mixed (mix design) that includes planning, determination and measurement of asphalt composition of each fraction of each kind of aggregate, asphalt, and the composition of the powder used tires. After the job mix, made with a sample weight of 1200 g, and by varying the composition of the powder used tires 5%, 10%, and 15% of the weight aspal.Pencampuran carried out at a temperature of 150oC. Methods of testing is done by using the Marshall test ie based on the results of Stability, Flow and Marshal Quontent. The results showed that the value of stability and flow SNI 03-1737-1989 still meet the standards for the composition of the powder used tires 5%, 10% and 15% and for the Marshal Quontent has met the standard of SNI 03-1737-1989 on the composition of 10%.

Quality is a physical characteristic of a product in terms of meeting customer satisfaction. Paying attention to the importance of the quality of a product produced by a company, efforts are needed to prevent errors in production activities. The aim of this prevention effort is to reduce the number of reject products produced as small as possible so as to reduce the company's losses. PT X is a manufacturing company that produces zinc. In its production activities, defective products are still found. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of zinc produced so as to reduce the number of defects in the production of PT. X or if it is possible to achieve zero defect. The data collected is product data generated on January 10 to February 10, 2021. From the calculation of the probability of the risk of disability the largest probability is rust defect with a probability value of 0.47, while the smallest probability of disability risk is perforated defect with a probability value of 0.060. Based on the control chart p, it can be seen that the data obtained is not entirely within the control limits that have been determined even many are out of control limits, only 7 (seven) points are within the control limits, so it can be said that the process is out of control. This indicates that there is a high deviation. This states that quality control at PT. X needs a fix. Supervision of workers on the oven plays an important role in avoiding zinc defects. In addition, workers must also be careful in arranging the composition.

Oil palm plantations are highly developed in Indonesia Especially North Sumatra. In the process of oil palm harvest, will produce palm kernels that fall to the ground. the oil palm seed is a mature palm fruit and can be sold. Based on preliminary observations with partners, they have difficulty in collecting fallen palm kernel. So many of the seeds of palm oil are abandoned and not sold. Farmers' income is reduced due to wasted crops. The absence of work facilities that occupy and the exhaustion of workers is the cause of farmers do not collect the seeds of palm. The activity of collecting palm kernel seeds is still done manually. The use of farming tools to collect palm kernel seeds facilitates the collecting of fallen palm kernel, so that the harvesting activities become effective and efficient. In the end it provides increased income for farmers. There was an increase in Partner's revenue of Rp.372.000, - and Partner 2 of Rp. 618,000, - in September 2017 using a palm kernel collecting apparatus.
