Abstract

The development of technology in civil engineering building construction is increasingly helping engineers conduct better engineering studies. The development of technology has developed in terms of its construction techniques. The development of structural reinforcement systems has also progressed with the existence of inventions such as chemical anchor which is one of the inventions which is now widely used in reinforcing concrete structures. The time and cost of using this method is certainly more efficient, especially in the matter of the transfer of building functions. That is, if the building which was originally three floors can be raised to five floors, using a chemical anchor system. This means that the structure can be strengthened, it does not need to be destroyed. The researcher conducted an experimental study to obtain anchor tensile strength values in several variations in depth diameter, anchor distance and edge distance in order to bring up the pre-existing anchor pull as a guide material for the use of more appropriate anchor in construction buildings as needed. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in tensile loads M10 and M12 based on each concrete anchor distance and to the edge of the concrete using the quality f'c 16.26 MPa. The method used is qualitative research by conducting experiments in the Concrete Civil Engineering Laboratory of Quality University. This research is expected to be able to assist construction players in choosing the design of the anchor specifications for the needs of most precise construction buildings, and can also be useful in any construction sector that requires in controlling the quality of the anchor.

Abstract

Perusahaan memberikan salah satu bentuk jaminan kepuasan terhadap produknya kepada konsumen dalam bentuk kualitas. Dapat dikatakan kualitas merupakan kriteria penting bagi konsumen untuk menentukan apakah konsumen layak untuk memilih suatu produk atau jasa, ataupun dapat menolak sebuah pilihan tersebut. Untuk memastikan proses produksi sebuah perusahaan masih dalam kondisi yang dapat dikendalikan atau dalam kondisi kurang baik, maka perusahaan menerapkan suatu kegiatan pengendalian kualitas. Salah satu tujuan dari suatu kegiatan pengendalian kualitas adalah untuk menentukan faktor-faktor penyebab kerusakan produk yang sedang diproduksi perusahaan tersebut. Teknik pengambilan keputusan tentang suatu proses atau populasi berdasarkan pada suatu analisa informasi yang terkandung di dalam suatu sampel dari populasi merupakan sebuah metode statistik. Statistik juga memberikan peranan dalam jaminan kualitas. UKM X merupakan salah satu UKM yang baru menjadi binaan Pemerintahan Kota Surabaya. UKM ini memproduksi berbagai minuman tradisional siap konsumsi dalam berbagai varian yang dikemas ke dalam sebuah botol kecil dengan berat maksimal 250 gram (gr). Untuk menjaga performa kualitas yang dapat diukur pada UKM ini, maka dicoba menerapkan cara pengendalian kualitas dengan memastikan berat masing-masing produknya berkisar pada 240 gr. Penentuan kualitas menggunakan metode pengujian hipotesis parameter populasi untuk mengetahui apakah berat minuman sesuai dengan hipotesa awal yang sudah ditentukan.

Abstract

Perbaikan mutu dan peningkatan mutu suatu produk olahan hasil pertanian adalah penting dalam usaha mendapatkan nilai tambah dan pemasaran yang lebih meluas. Pengolahan sirup stroberi yang dilakukan oleh home industri di kota Berastagi merupakan upaya untuk memperoleh nilai tambah dan area pemasaran yang lebih luas. Terutama untuk menghadapi persaingan pemasaran produk sejenis yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan-perusahaan ternama. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan analisis Strength, Weakness, Opportunity dan Threath (SWOT) terhadap proses pengolahan sirup stroberi di tingkat home industri.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh strategi peningkatan mutu berdasarkan Sistem Manajemen Mutu dan Sistem Manajemen Keamanan Pangan. Metode penelitian dan analisis data dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan sebagai berikut: (1) survei konsumen menggunakan pembobotan AHP (perbandingan berpasangan) dan Quality Function Deployment (QFD), (2) penentuan dan evaluasi faktor internal dan eksternal perusahaan menggunakan perbandingan berpasangan, (3) penentuan posisi home industri dengan menggunakan analisis Matriks IE, dan (4) perumusan strategi peningkatan kualitas menggunakan analisis matriks SWOT.            Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Matriks HOQ memperlihatkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan mutu produk, atribut mutu yang harus diperbaiki oleh home industri sirup stroberi adalah nilai gizi, warna dan kemasan, (2) home industri sirup stroberi harus meningkatkan kualitas distributor, (3) Home industri juga harus terus mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kualitas, (3) home industri harus terus melakukan promosi secara gencar, (4) Home industri harus menjaga kelangsungan produksi dengan efisien, untuk menekan dan menjaga kestabilan harga produk yang dihasilkan, (5) home industri harus terus meningkatkan kualitas SDM melalui pembinaan, pelatihan, seminar, maupun lokakarya, (6) home industri harus melakukan konsolidasi potensi  yang menentukan untuk dapat bertahan dari serangan pesaing maupun produk substitusi dan mewaspadai ancaman yang timbul akibat ketidakpastian perkembangan ekonomi, sosial, dan politik di dalam negeri, (7) Analisis total skor faktor Internal-Eksternal didapatkan nilai 1.5067 dan 0.7513. atau home industri berada pada kuadran I, yaitu yaitu mendukung kebijakan petumbuhan yang agresif (growth oriented strategy).

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pemanfaatan cangkang kemiri  dan tempurung kelapa sebagai material karbon aktif dalam pembuatan filter air. Karbon aktif merupakan arang yang sudah diaktivasi dengan zat aktivator sehingga porinya terbuka dan memiliki kemampuan daya serap yang baik terhadap anion, kation, dan molekul dalam bentuk senyawa organik dan anorganik, baik berupa larutan maupun gas. Pembuatan arang aktif dilakukan melalui proses aktivasi arang dengan cara fisika atau kimia. Perbandingan komposisi Serbuk tempurung kelapa dan cangkang kemiri untuk masing-masing sampel S-01 (50 : 30) wt.-%, S-02 (60 : 20) wt.-%, dan S-03 (70 : 10) wt.-%. Dari hasil analisa data diperoleh nilai parameter fisika dari pengujian air hasil filter karbon aktif parameter , yaitu : kekeruhan 1,00 NTU, warna < 0,2 TCU, Kesadahan 50,96, tidak berasa dan tidak berbau (Sesuai Standar Air Bersih Permenkes No.32 Tahun 2017). Pengujian SEM menunjukkan bahwa distribusi ukuran pori yang merupakan parameter yang penting dalam hal kemampuan daya serap arang aktif terhadap molekul sudah terbentuk dan memiliki ukuran bervariasi.

Abstract

At the flexible pavement (flexible pavement) the bond between aggregate grains is largely determined by the quality and volume of asphalt. Good quality of asphalt needs to be balanced with the use of other materials in hot mix asphalt to increase the performance of flexible pavements, for example with the use of the powder used tires. The aim of research to determine the characteristics of hot mix asphalt AC-WC with the use of powder, scrap tires that qualify sieve # 30 and Volcanic Ash as a filler. Characteristics of the use of powder used tires and Volcanic Ash in hot mix AC-WC visits by Marshall with an examination parameters include density, stability, flow, MQ, VMA, VIM, and VFB . Variations powder rubber tires and Volcanic Ash o%, 5%, 10%, and 15% of the weight of asphalt and stone dust.

Abstract

Characterization and preparation of chitosan-CMC films have been carried out in detecting diabetes. The characteristics of the chitosan-CMC film are able to detect blowing acetone levels out of the human breath, indicated by the unstable electrical properties of the output voltage between patients and non-sufferers. Acetone itself is a substance produced when metabolic processes take place in the body. Voltage increases due to the influence of imperfect metabolic processes, so diabetics produce excessive levels of acetone. The sensor film was modified chitosan-CMC, with varied mass composition of 0.5 g: 0.1 g, 0.5 g: 0.5 g. Chitosan-CMC film was fabricated using the electrodeposition method. The chitosan-CMC film characteristics of 0.1 gr and 0.5 gr from the fabrication and measurement process of PSA obtained 3,716.34 nm and 5,129.97 nm. The FT-IR test results of 0.1 g and 0.5 g of chitosan-CMC showed a change in the relationship between different functional groups. The UV-Vis test obtained a different maximum absorbance for each chitosan-based sensor with a composition of Cs-CMC 0.5 w / v, Cs-CMC 0.1 w / v, respectively 0.114167 (427 nm), 0.098258 ( 417nm). It shows that the chitosan-CMC based sensor with the addition of 0.5 g of CMC has a very high sensitivity concentration. Chitosan-CMC sensor film with 0.5 CMC has good characteristics, on a very even film surface, has high thermal properties and an energy gap of 3.87 eV.

Abstract

The trip generation existence from a housing resident in Pekanbaru City could influence a road service level. It needed a study on trip generation from a housing resident.  So that next to develop a new resident complex or in the future, it could be identified how big its influence towards road network capacity in Pakanbaru City. Factors that influenced a trip generation were: move behavior from each housing, trip number yielded, and figuring out other factors that influenced a trip event. Parameter used in a trip generation model make was a Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. Data was taken based on a housing resident trend to make a trip that was explained in some variables such as: family member number (X1), family income level (X2), car ownership (X3), motorbike ownership number (X4), working family members (X5), schooling family members (X6), occupation (X7), family head age (X8), and building width (X9). An analysis result showed that the best model could be applied in a housing location planning today was a multiple linear regression model equation in a luxurious housing type namely Y1 = 3.062 + 1.323 X1 + 0.175 X4 + 0.526 X6 due to the formed equation had been able to represent variables affected towards a move emergence from housing.

Abstract

Column in principle is a rigid frame system which in case of loading will be accepted by all systems and jointly support each other. The term column is used in civil engineering to define a building construction that functions as a support for the building that accepts the load and transmits the load of the building in all directions with a strong enough carrying capacity. The building column is also a compressive element that supports / holds the beam + floor that carries the loads on the floor. So this column is very meaningful for the structure. Abstract

This research aims to know the quality of service ocean freight based on user perception. The service quality was explored is performance in Regional Port of Sanana and passenger ship KM. Intim Teratai, KM. Theodora, and KM. Bunda Maria.The instrument of service quality was adopted from 5 service quality dimention by Zeithaml, Parasuraman and Berry. Data collecting through spreading of queationnaire to service user and ship passenger in Regional Port of Sanana. The study successfully obtained 400 respondents (100 service user of port, 100 passenger of KM. Intim Teratai, 100 passenger of KM. Theodora, and 100 passenger of KM. Bunda Maria). The analysis was done by using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and calculating the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).Results were obtained with mean index value of port service user satisfaction from 8 service factor is 54,74 percent which satisfied the criteria entered. Complement facility in port terminal factor and information of ship schedule factor is entry to criteria less satisfied and get the prority for improved performance. Mean index value of ship passenger satisfaction KM Intim Teratai is 53,98 percent is entry to criteria sufficient satisfied, KM. Theodora is 55,10 percent is entry to criteria sufficient satisfied, and KM. Bunda Maria 67,10 percent which satisfied the criteria entered.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of bentonite in the calcination process, ball mill and coprecipitation process and synthesis with the surfactant Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide (CTAB). Calcination process at a temperature of 700oC for 5 hours, the ball mill process for 10 hours with a rotation of 250 rpm. And the coprecipitation method was carried out with 5M HCl and NaOH precipitate,and continued to be synthesized with CTAB solution. from XRD analysis for bentonite with HCL5M activation obtained particle size of 8.89 nm with a trigonal crystal system, XRF analysis contained 57.1% SiO2 content, while for bentonite synthesized with CTAB obtained 10.57 nm SiO2 content of 51.1%, the results of morphological analysis showed homogeneous particle distribution. The FTIR spectrum for bentonite showed the presence of an absorption band at 3636.93cm-1 which could be attributed to Al-OH or Si-OH stretching.
