Formosa Journal of Sustainable Research (FJSR) is an open access and peer-reviewed journal, published by Formosa Publisher. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how the impact of evangelism on student conversions at the Indonesian Leaders Service Institute. In conducting this research, the author uses qualitative and quantitative methods by collecting data through direct questions with students who are members of the Indonesian Leadership Service Institute as well as through the Bible and various books and journals. At first before these students joined the Indonesian Leadership Service Institute 99% of them had not experienced conversion, due to several factors as follows: They did not know the importance of being born again and felt they had become Christians because they were born into a Christian family, besides that they think that if they are baptized, they will definitely go to heaven, and their activeness in worship and being actively involved in church services is enough to represent their faith in God. However, after the students were evangelized at the Indonesian Leaders Service Institute (LPPI). So the result is, that the number of students who want to repent and accept Jesus in their hearts personally through services since 2000-2020 has accumulated 20,000 people

Abstract

This study aims to analyze health as a unifying Body of Christ as a healthy church based on Acts 4:32. The method used is qualitative exegesis and data collection through Bible sources, books, and journals that discuss topics as needed. The Church is usually a community of people whom God has justified function as God's representative on earth. Because, as a divine organism, love should be the basis of all forms of activities and goals of the Church as a sign that the Church is in good health and carrying out her responsibilities correctly and maximally. Only at this time, it is suspected that many churches are not showing signs of health, so they experience internal conflicts and eventually split. The result: a healthy church has unity in the community together among its congregations. In conclusion, the Church as a spiritual institution and belongs to God must be fit by showing the characteristics of oneness and unity within the assembly, so God's name is glorified.

Abstract

Local wisdom has a good way to preserve the environment that has not been the focus of disaster mitigation, especially in coastal areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the approach of local community wisdom in mitigating coastal abrasion in North Galesong District, Takalar Regency. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method based on the results of field observations and interviews with communities affected by abrasion. Local wisdom approaches in mitigating coastal abrasion disasters in the long term are Appanaung Rije'ne, Siri' na Pacce Festival, Mappalette Bola, Kasipalli and Appadekko so that the community is involved and aware of the dangers of disasters that will occur. Local wisdom of the community needs to be the main capital in building the civilization of a city and region that is more resilient in the face of natural disasters

Abstract

The infanticide crime is a special crime , in which one can do so is the biological mother of the infant. This specificity will be the core of this paper, reviewing the factors that cause the crime is done because it becomes the specificity of this criminal act. In addition to reviewing it , the writing of this paper will also be discuss   about things that the judges consideration who hear case of infanticide murder, whether in the form of mitigating or incriminating reason. This research is conducted by empirical juridical who examine the crime according to reality in real life of society. The end of this study concluded that the main thing that causes a mother to kill her baby is the embarrassment factor, because it has given birth to achild outside a legal marriage

Abstract

This study aims to determine the financial strategy of SMEs in overcoming the economy during the Covid-19 pandemic in Baolan District, Tolitoli Regency. The research informants were 12 informants, each of which consisted of 2 people representing six villages in the Baolan sub-district, Tolitoli Regency. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The MSME financial strategy in dealing with the economy during the COVID-19 pandemic is still very simple, overall it only uses a simple budget, recording and control and does not report on business finances

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the income of market traders in Tinading Village, Lampasio District, Tolitoli Regency. The method used is descriptive analysis of qualitative methods using saturated sampling where all traders who exist/or live in the market are used as research samples. The primary data used are the results of direct observations and interviews with market traders and officials from the Village of Tinading, Lampasio District, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, regarding the income earned by market traders before the pandemic, during the pandemic, and after the pandemic. From the results of interviews that the income of market traders has decreased significantly reaching more than 50% during the pandemic due to the PSBB so that the working hours / market operations are limited which causes the market to be quiet and causes goods to sell less so that the income of market traders is reduced. But after going through the pandemic period the income of market traders began to gradually improve.

Abstract

This study is aimed to find out the improvement of students` speaking skill by using photo story. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) to solve the students’ problem in English speaking. The researchers chose twenty students of the second-grade of MA Darul Aminin NW Aikmual as the participants of the study. Speaking test, interview, and recording were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed by using mix method, namely qualitative and quantitative analyses. The qualitative data were gained by analyzing the interview and observation, and the quantitative data were obtained from the students’ speaking score of pre-test and post-test. The results of the qualitative analysis indicated that the students’ score of post-test was higher than pre-test. Then, the results of the data analysis in quantitative indicated that there was significant different between using photo story and the speaking skill and motivation of students.

Abstract

Religious tourism is an activity that is often carried out by most Muslims around the world, including in Indonesia. Pandeglang is part of the province of Banten, where in this area we find many religious tourist attractions, one of which is the religious tourist site of Mount Santri which is located in the Bojonegara District, Serang Regency, Banten, where this place is visited by many pilgrims, both from pilgrims from Serang, as well as from outside Serang. Serang is one of the districts part of Banten province, where in the Serang Banten area there are many religious tourist attractions including the Sultanate of Banten, Syeh Nawawi Tanahara, Sultan Agung Tirtayasa, Gunung Santri and so on. One of the interesting religious tourism places is Mount Santri which is located in the District of Bojonegara, Serang Regency, this research uses qualitative research.

Abstract

Dalam pengembangan ekonomi nasional di Indonesia, Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) telah mampu berkontribusi menopang ekonomi kerakyatan dan mengurangi kemiskinan dan jumlah pengangguran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis strategi pemberdayaan UMKM yang berbasis One Village One Product (OVOP) pada UMKM Batik Sentra Desa Dagan Kabupaten Purbalingga melalui pengembangan usaha yang dilaksanakan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Kemudian analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode pengumpulan data, reduksi data, display data, dan triangulasi data. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan yang dilakukan ialah program UP2K berbentuk Program Desa Wisata dengan menerapkan inovasi produk dan mempertahankan kualitas serta kekhasan produk yang dikembangkan melalui potensi wisata desa untuk menjaga eksistensi produk. Pengembangan usaha dilakukan dengan peningkatan kualitas produk dan peningkatan inovasi variasi motif oleh pengrajin batik, dilaksanakannya pengembangan sumber daya manusia melalui adanya pertemuan rutinan dan pelatihan, serta upaya mempertahankan ciri khas keklasikan yang telah dimiliki batik Desa Dagan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of community participation in the development of Tinigi Village, Galang District, Tolitoli Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative. The research informants were 8 people consisting of the village head, village secretary, 1 hamlet head representing the entire hamlet, the head of the PKK, the head of BUMDes, and 3 people from the community. Data analysis techniques used were data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. From the interview results, firstly, community participation in the form of thoughts, shows that there is a lack of attention from the community as seen from the level of attendance during the village Musrembang, which attended only 45 people out of the total population of 4,550 people. Second, community participation in the form of money, the people in Tinigi Village who cannot participate in development activities because they are hindered by other activities, they will give money to be used by working people, such as buying consumption. Third, community participation in the form of energy, many of the people of Tinigi Village are enthusiastic to participate in village development activities because they are aware that the development was built for the benefit of the people in the village.
