Abstract

This research aims to develop a language and literature learning model based on Makassar local wisdom at SMA Negeri 11 Makassar with a focus on strengthening students' character and identity. Through qualitative methodology, this research explores how Makassar's local cultural values can be integrated into teaching materials, so that students not only understand language and literature but also appreciate and preserve its cultural heritage. The data collection method is carried out through observation and recording, and data analysis is carried out with descriptive techniques. The results of the study show that the application of this learning model has a positive impact on students' understanding of Makassar's local culture, increasing their appreciation of traditional literary works and strengthening cultural identity. In addition, this model also contributes to creating a more contextual and relevant learning environment. The conclusion of this study is that the integration of Makassar local wisdom in language and literature learning is very important to shape the character and identity of students, as well as encourage the preservation of regional languages and literature among the younger generation.

Abstract

The people living in today's era are inseparable from the internet. Since the emergence of the internet with adequate access, various aspects of community life have changed drastically and dramatically. This phenomenon is often seen especially among students and teenagers, greatly influencing the social interaction process, resulting in a tendency to play online games significantly. This research discusses the influence of social interaction among adolescent users of online games at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School. The research problem formulation is first, whether there is an influence of online game addiction on adolescent behavior at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School. Second, whether there is an influence of student social interaction on students addicted to online games at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School. The aim is to determine the influence of online game addiction on adolescent behavior at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School, and secondly, to determine the influence of social interaction on students addicted to playing online games at Triguna Utama Ciputat High School. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The result of this study show that use of online game affect teenagers social interactions through action using symbols, meaning, and cues.

Abstract

In the context of international relations which are often characterized by conflict and injustice, this research explores the concept of Ar-Rasikhun, which refers to individuals who have deep understanding and wisdom, as a value framework for creating a more ethical, just and peaceful global order. The Ar-Rasikhun concept emphasizes main principles such as universal justice, wisdom-based diplomacy, and tolerance, all of which are rooted in Islamic teachings. Using a qualitative approach based on literature study and normative analysis, this research examines how the Ar-Rasikhun concept can be operationalized in modern diplomacy, multilateral conflict resolution, and the formation of a more humane foreign policy. The findings of this research indicate that the application of Ar-Rasikhun principles is not only relevant in overcoming existing global challenges, but also offers an alternative paradigm that can enrich international relations theory by emphasizing the integration of moral values ​​in diplomacy and international policy. This research contributes to academic discourse by providing a new, more holistic and transformative perspective, and encouraging closer cross-cultural cooperation and sustainable peace. These findings also underline the importance of integrating Islamic values ​​in the formation of a more inclusive and just global order for all humanity. This research also explores the potential of the Ar-Rasikhun concept to provide practical guidance in building more constructive international relations, with a focus on resolving global problems that are more sustainable, inclusive, and based on moral principles that can be accepted by various cultures and civilizations.

Abstract

This research was conducted to monitor and analyze the impact of unstable palm oil prices on the welfare of farmers in Nagori Bayu Bagasan Village, Tanah Jawa District, Simalungun Regency. As one of the pillars of the country's economy, the agricultural sector is expected to increase income, especially for residents who are still below the poverty line. The aim of this research is to find out the impact ofunstable palm oil prices on the welfare of palm oil farmers in Nagori Bayu Bagasanvillage, Tanah Jawa District, Simalungun Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research in which the researcher will describethe impact of oil palm price instability in Nagori Bayu Bagasan Village, Tanah Jawa District. The results of this research are that the community in Nagori Bayu BagasanVillage, Tanah Jawa District, if the price of palm oil experiences instability, it can cause low income for oil palm farmers and high expenditure for their basic living needs. Therefore, to achieve a prosperous standard of living for society cannot be separated from education, because the higher the level of education, the higher thequality of work that is obtained, the higher the income earned.

Abstract

Since its independence declaration, Indonesia has demonstrated its commitment to international diplomacy, upholding the principle of an independent and active foreign policy. One of the tangible manifestations of Indonesia’s role in the international arena is its identity as a ‘peace maker,’ which is reflected in the diplomatic efforts made to address the Rohingya conflict. This article explores Indonesia’s role in resolving the Rohingya conflict through a constructive engagement approach, particularly in multilateral diplomacy with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and bilateral diplomacy with Myanmar. In this diplomatic framework, Indonesia focuses on humanitarian and human rights approaches, encouraging the OIC to employ soft diplomacy to achieve peaceful solutions without resorting to violence. On the other hand, Indonesia also navigates challenges in bilateral diplomacy with Myanmar, which is reluctant to accept foreign intervention, by offering solutions based on dialogue and constructive cooperation. As a result, Indonesia has successfully established its identity as a peace-making nation on the global stage, reflecting not only an active foreign policy but also as a symbol of the country’s prestige, respected for its involvement in resolving international conflicts. This article aims to deepen the understanding of Indonesia’s contributions to global peace diplomacy and the relevance of the norms and values inherent in Indonesia’s foreign policy.

Abstract

The objective of this investigation is to evaluate the influence of CR, ROE, and FAR on the capital structure within the mining sector, moderated by company size, spanning from 2019 through 2023. The study encompasses a population of 71 mining firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research was conducted because of the gap between the mining export value data and the capital structure value, where the export value data shows a graph that tends to increase but is followed by an increasing capital structure value. Not only that, this research is important because the mining sector has a high level of funding risk, so understanding the factors that influence capital structure is crucial for financial decision making. A purposive sampling approach was used to select the sample, based on the criteria set by the researcher, a sample of 53 companies was obtained. This research employs panel data sourced secondarily. It adopts a quantitative methodology. Data were acquired through documentation and processed via editing and tabulation. Analytical methods employed encompass descriptive statistics, classical assumption testing (including multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity tests), panel data regression, and moderated regression analysis (MRA). This study revealed that CR and ROE exert a partially adverse impact on capital structure, while FAR shows no significant effect. The capital structure is jointly influenced by CR, ROE, and FAR. Company size serves to mitigate the influence of ROE on capital structure.

Abstract

This research aims to elaborate in depth on the tradition of the farming community in Samaenre Village, Pinrang Regency, which is called maddoa. This research applies qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out by directly observing the implementation of maddoa. The results of these observations were strengthened by conducting in-depth interviews with farmers. The data is then analyzed by comparing and juxtaposing field data with relevant research results. The research results show that maddoa is a sacred ritual that the community still maintains today. This sacredness is proven by the requirement to wear sarongs for maddoa participants and the prohibition of women who are menstruating from being involved in this activity. Maddoa activities reached their peak when people made a pilgrimage to the grave of Petta Pallipa Putee who is believed to be an ancestor in Samaenre Village. For the people of Samaenre Village, maddoa is a form of expression of gratitude to God for safety in carrying out activities to cultivate rice fields to obtain adequate harvests. This tradition is also used as a social space for the community to strengthen family ties and the spirit of mutual cooperation in carrying out all activities in this village. The results of this research further strengthen the position of farming communities to carry out the maddoa tradition in a sustainable manner. It is hoped that this research can make a positive contribution to character development and strengthening local culture among generation z.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics and implementation of character education in Kampung Naga, Neglasari Village, Salawu District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java Province. Character education in Kampung Naga is an effort made by parents and village elders to inherit the customs and habits that they have maintained for generations. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, by collecting data through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results showed that there is a unique method of character education in Kampung Naga, namely through diniyah school. In its implementation, character education in Kampung Naga has proven successful in forming a generation that is able to adapt to the times but does not forget its identity as part of the indigenous community. In addition, character education in Kampung Naga Indigenous Community is expected to be able to implement the concept of silih asah, silih asih, and silih asuh. Through this research, it is hoped that it can contribute scientifically and provide a deeper understanding of the importance of character building in maintaining customs and culture, especially in Kampung Naga.

Abstract

Sexual harassment is a complex social issue that has serious psychological, social, and legal impacts on victims. This case study aims to analyze the sociological impact experienced by victims of sexual harassment in Indonesia from the perspective of legal sociology. Using a qualitative approach supported by statistical data, case reports, and legal analysis, this research identifies various contributing factors, multidimensional impacts, and the gap between legal norms and social realities. The findings reveal that sexual harassment not only causes psychological trauma but also leads to changes in social behavior, isolation, loss of self-confidence, and secondary victimization, both in social environments and digital media. Gender inequality, patriarchal culture, and a weak legal system further exacerbate the occurrence of sexual harassment and hinder justice for victims. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of victim-centered legal reforms, strengthening social protection systems, increasing legal literacy, and promoting cultural changes within society to prevent and address sexual harassment more effectively and fairly.

Abstract

Piil Pesenggiri is a philosophy of life of the Lampung people that emphasizes self-esteem, honor, and social norms in community life. These values include nemui nyimah (friendliness), nengah nyappur (adaptiveness), sakai sambayan (mutual cooperation), and juluk adek (maintaining dignity). However, globalization and modernization have caused a shift in its application, especially among the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the application of Piil Pesenggiri and the challenges faced from a legal sociology perspective, which includes social norms, social control, customary law, and modernization integration. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and thematic analysis of relevant literature. The results of the study indicate that individualism, the influence of social media, and urbanization are the main factors that weaken the application of Piil Pesenggiri values. In addition, the decreasing role of the family and the lack of integration of cultural values in education also accelerate the degradation of this culture. The implications of this study confirm that although the values of Piil Pesenggiri face challenges, these values still have an important role in shaping the identity and social character of the Lampung community. Therefore, preservation strategies such as cultural education, family roles, revitalization of traditions, and the use of digital technology must be implemented so that these values remain relevant and can be passed on to future generations.
